Theodore Gray's My First Elements (Baby Elements)

My father-in-law is a chemist and I got this book for him to read to my nephew. They both loved it. A nice introduction to the elements.

Excellent book! We love this book, it's perfect for toddlers developing language. I love the simple photos (there are no drawings just clear photos- which I love) and simple language. Some of the other science board books we've purchased for our 1.5 year old are way too wordy and illustrated with busy colors which combined quickly looses her interest. She listens intently every time I read this book to her and points at the photos asking what each photo is. I definitely recommend this book for toddlers, even preschoolers may find it interesting.

Super cute board book! This is a great way for chemistry enthusiasts for pass on their love for the periodic table to a new generation. The pages are sturdy and adorned with beautiful, bright colored photos. The information in the book is careful not to overwhelm the very young audience it is intended for. You could use this book as point and say first words type book as well for little ones who are not yet ready to just sit and listen. Great baby shower present for science lovers!

Nice intro to some common elements. Well suited to basic chemistry foundation building for babies.

Love this book. Super cute. I teacher 8th grade science. I wish I had found this when my son was little. I still read it to him.

Informational book with excellent pictures. I subtracted 1 star for the "coal that keeps us warm". So many other options for what "Carbon makes..." Very curious that coal was included in that way.

Das Baby lernt Chemie und Englisch gleichzeitig :) Wer Gray's "Erwachsenenbücher" mag, muss sein Kind einfach frühzeitig auf den Geschmack bringen. Als ich "Kohle, die uns wärmt" sah, musste ich es unbedingt kaufen, die Seite über kleiderbleichendes Chlor ist auch super. Schön, dass mein Kind vermutlich nicht die gleichen Bücher liest, wie die giftneidgrünen Gretels und sonstige Hexen dieser Welt. Chemie macht satt, Nordkorea macht schlank.

Me ha llegado en este estado un poco estropeado sin precintar. Compré uno nuevo, NO de Segunda mano. Me da pena porque va a ser un regalo para mis nietos y quería que fuera nuevo con prescinto sin estar estropeado. Pero el contenido del libro es muy bueno. Yo pedí junto con otro de Molecules también así estropeado. Pero LOS ELEMENTOS en la versión en español era el único que me ha llegado precintado y totalmente nuevo y estupendo. Qué pena de otros 2 ( Molecules y este para mis nietos)
