Pristine print job, vibrant colors, crummy packaging
This is a magnificent copy of the Thoth deck. I’ve had it for almost exactly one year now. Its large size and incredible print job lend themselves well to in-depth meditation and study. I got this deck to replace a 1977 copy of the Thoth deck printed by US Games—you can see the comparison of two of the cards in the photos I provide. The 1977 cards are to the left (obviously green). I took these photos to demonstrate the difference between the decks known as “greenies” (the 1977 US Games deck—left cards), and this Gold Edition Konigsfurt-Urania deck (right cards). It should be obvious that the Konigsfurt-Urania cards cannot be construed as “greenies,” as one reviewer erroneously stated. (I actually hesitated to buy this deck because of that review.) My *only* criticism of this deck is the packaging. As others have noted, it is too flimsy. This deck is worthy of better! I don’t really care about the box, per se—my cards immediately went into a silk scarf and a wooden box of their own. Unfortunately, in transit, the flimsiness of the packaging caused the deck to rub against the paper brackets within the box, abraiding the gilt edges. As you can see by my other two photos, this caused some of the gilt to wear off where the edges of the deck touched the paper brackets. I was extremely disappointed in this at first, but when I use the cards it’s a non-issue. What I focus on is the image on the card face, not the gilt edging. For the same reason, whether the backs of the cards feature a margin is also a non-issue for me. The details and colors are so much crisper and more vibrant in this deck than in my old deck. Some people complain that this deck is too big to use for readings (the dimensions are actually marginally smaller than the US Games edition). I suppose that whether the size is an issue depends partially on your method of shuffling the cards and how big a surface you have to lay them out on. I’ve always shuffled my slightly larger US Games ed deck in such a way that the size was not a hassle. That said, I have just ordered a separate, standard size Thoth deck to use for readings for others so my Konigsfurt-Urania deck doesn’t get nicked and tattered. Crazily, I’ve been giving myself readings with them by shuffling and laying out my old deck, then replacing all the cards I lay out with cards from my newer deck. I want to preserve the beauty of this special gold edition for my own private use! I am also still studying the cards, so I still want to keep them in order. If it is important to you to be able to closely study the details of each card—and if vibrant color contributes to your understanding of the cards’ meanings—you should consider getting this particular edition. It has already given me many hours of pleasure, allowing me to see details I was otherwise unaware of.

Gorgeous edition of Crowley's Thoth deck, just read the fine print first.
I did not read carefully when I purchased this deck as I'd been looking for an visual and tactile upgrade to the standard available Thoth decks out there. I did not realize that I was ordering a product written in German, nor did I realize that the cards were quite large: 5.9 by 8.9 inches I believe. They wouldn't shuffle comfortably in the hand on first glance, but then I found things I appreciated. The large card size makes the already mesmerizing artwork of the Thoth deck even more impressive. The card stock is high quality, and the golden outer edges are beautifully done. As for the accompanying booklet being in German, I have no idea how it reads but I can say the book itself is not flimsy and quality as well. Luckily I'm already familiar with reading from the deck, so this did not bother me much. Despite the large size, I'm currently happily using this deck in my daily ritual, and the larger picture size has even proven more pleasant to meditate on, even though it makes the deck more difficult to shuffle for a normal reading.

Great Production of a Classic Deck
I had avoided the Thoth deck until recently. I was concerned that the system was a little more complicated than I had bandwidth to learn until now. Also, I had a prejudice against the deck because of Crowley's reputation. Finally, though, I kept seeing Lady Harris' beautiful and compelling images from the deck, and I couldn't resist checking it out. This is a marvelous production. Card stock is substantial. Finish is soft and lovely. Images are crisp and dramatic. The gilt edges are a stunning final touch. The book includes excerpts from the Book of Thoth.I'm truly enjoying learning the Thoth system, and as I read more from Crowley, I'm finding quite a bit of light and nothing to be frightened of. Not sure I would have wanted to live next door to him.In any case, the images are magnificent, and the deck reads well. I think any darkness one might see in these cards is a reflection of what is inside oneself.

Not cheap but good quality
Nice big cards, the images are pretty clear, the book is brief (considering half the page is in German) but there’s some good information there. Shipping was quick and company was attentive and responsive. I wanted the deck in a large size and was really impatient it receive it in time for a class I took on Thoth Tarot, otherwise I wouldn’t have spent so much. A bit pricey but overall worth it.

Must Have!
Amazing deck! Connected very quickly. These are large sized cards which I love because I love seeing details and my clients do as well. Studied them because they are different than rider Waite meanings. A lot of work went into the concept of these beautiful cards. Very well made and absolutely stunning with the details. A favorite of mine. I have 3 decks.

Beautiful deck but slightly distorted.
Beautiful gilded deck, nice card stock, and nice large scale. However, the illustrations have been scaled up and show a bit of distortion. The color and print quality is still nice and the deck feels great. But again it’s kind of distracting when reading symbolism but you get used to it because Lady Frieda Harris’s work is sooo mystical and beautiful.

Beautiful deck and book
Gorgeous deck with tons of arcane symbolism. I’m in an advanced tarot class and this deck was recommended to me. It will take me forever to master all the symbolism but it is a wonderful deck. Not for beginners. The book is very helpful as well.

Visual masterpeice.
I have been reading Tarot for the past 15yrs. This deck is a god send to the thirsty and weak hearted. I've been waiting years and years and years to develop a new spread. It just wasn't the right move until now! "A man after my own heart." Not end all be all but ...secret
