Good intentions wreak havoc when Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) unwittingly creates Ultron, an A.I. monster who vows to achieve "world peace" via mass extinction. Now on 4K Ultra HD, the Avengers must reassemble to defeat him and save mankind...if they can! Review: Movie - Great Movie Review: Watch and Enjoy - Another notch for Marvel Cinematic Universe Success. Avengers Age of Ultron continues to spread forth an amazing collection of actors together in a phenomenal sequel to the Avengers. Joss Whedon does a marvelous job not just once but twice. After the Captain America 2 Winter Soldier and Agents of SHIELD Season 1 in which the offshoot Nazi Terrorist group HYDRA is still in existence, promoting terrorism into the 21st century and using SHIELD and the governments of the world to in order to rule the world. Avengers 2 Age of Ultron brings the Avengers to destroy HYDRA, but they are manipulated into creating a peace keeping initiative that blows up in their faces. Ultron, the artificial intelligence created by Tony Stark to prevent alien threats like Avengers or world threats like Captain America 2 turns on them and intends to destroy. This is more than just an action movie for the sake of action, but brings to mind the importance of fighting the good fight and the limits of power. Its nice to know more things about the Avengers as they develop in the face of their new enemies and their own demons. Its nice to know that a few years living in the 21st century that Steve Rogers still misses his dreams of a normal life, or how Natasha Romanov was trained as an assassin and robbed of a life she still wants, don't get me started on Clint Barton and of course Tony Stark's ambitions. They are friends but they have a chance to be a family and more as they fight to save the world. All this and more is just amazing. Nice to welcome back the old but also some new faces. As well as see plenty of great action. Some people complain about some stuff. The movie isn't as fresh as there is a feeling of 'sequelitis' as there is feeling to make the movie relevant. I won't go into specifics but I do believe its a little exaggerated. Joss Whedon also has said that he wanted to do more, bring more heroes and continue to develop things well into the next couple of films. Both of course didn't happen. Still this movie is really good and well worthy of a Blu-ray and Digital Copy.

My point is simple: you'll love this vid!!!
What can I say? I really really enjoyed this vid! You know, it's kinda weird, I was not a comic book fan and I was never that crazy about the whole Marvel-Saturday-morning thing either...BUT, then the Iron Man movies came out and BAM, I'm a fan. The Thor series was pretty cool as well. I wasn't that impressed with the Spider Man, nor the Superman remakes; but Captain America, was way better than I thought...Okay, do you see the pattern forming there? Subconsciously I was becoming a fan. I had favorites (Iron Man) I had favorite villains, for instance (think Willam Dafoe as The Goblin, fantastic!) And then the Avengers came out. Once again, fantastic!!!! Yes, four exclamation points worth of "YAY". The first one was great, this new one, Age of Ultron was just as good, if not better because this vid (in my humble opinion) did not rely so much on CGI. This one was more about the PEOPLE. The "Supers" if you will. Hawkeye has a wife and kids. Bruce Banner gets to show how brilliant he is, how cool he is, as scientist. Yes, The Hulk was pivotal in the fight against Ultron and his Robo-Soldiers, but at least Banner got some air time without being green. And The Black Widow; the terrible things she endured as a child to become an elite assassin was shocking, even by today's standards. Besides.(Scarlett Johansson is such a hottie, I mean..well, never mind) ANYWAY, the point IS: This is good stuff. If you've not seen this vid (geeky Comic-Con dude, or dudess, or just a new fan like me) you're going to love it! My wife even liked it! That's a miracle in and of itself! Seriously, she hates my action and horror tastes, and I don't like her fairytale oversexed vampire thing...different strokes I guess. But my point is simple: you'll love it.

A solid second outing for everyone's favorite superhero team
When crafting a sequel to any movie, the goal is usually to make it bigger while still retaining the qualities that made people fall in love with the first one. On that alone, AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON succeeds marvelously. While the action in THE AVENGERS was mostly confined to New York (at least the climax), ULTRON is more of a globe-hopping adventure. The banter between the team members is as funny as ever and, without the need to bring the team together this time, there was more time allotted to character development, particularly Hawkeye and Black Widow, who haven't had so much to do in the Marvel movies up to this point. Of course, with this expansion comes a handful of new characters to add to all the ones we're familiar with (and most of whom at least make a cameo). Chief among these is Ultron, a sneering villain whose personality is directly based on Stark's. There are also the twins, Pietro and Wanda Maximoff, who have a particular connection with Stark that sees them initially aligned with Ultron against the Avengers. To sum up all that's good with the film is quite easy: it's frickin' cool. A slightly more polished way to put this is that it delivers on the all of the witty repartee and CGI-enhanced action that we've come to expect from the MCU. However, there are a few points where it doesn't quite live up to its predecessor. First, the novelty of having the team together has worn off a bit. Second, while the increase in locations is appreciated, the narrative is somewhat more splintered and unwieldy than it possibly should have been. A lot of this has to do with some scenes which are setting up future adventures. Another big part of this has to do with the final action set-piece basically being a redux of the Battle of New York from the first AVENGERS. And, while Ultron is great as the villain always ready with a quip, his motivation remained as opaque and vague as Scarlet Witch's powers (summed up as "weird"). It boils down to not being as streamlined nor as unique as what came before it. Still, none of this really negatively impacted my enjoyment. I was as eager to return to this world as anyone, and Joss Whedon surely didn't disappoint me.

Since anyone reading this has probably seen the film already, let's talk about the dvd first: It has the following language and subtitle options: Languages: English. Subtitles; English, Danish, Finnish, Icelandic, Norwegian, Swedish. It's also English audio captioned. The disc begins with a trailer for the film 'Ant-Man', but you can skip that via the next button on the dvd remote. Said trailer can be found in the sneak peeks section of the disc anyhow. The dvd has one solitary extra: 'Global Adventure.' A two minute long look at the location filming around the world for the film. The brief snippets of other places and the film being shot there are quite interesting, but this is far too short a featurette to have enough of that. In case you haven't seen the film: Another movie based on marvel comics characters. Sequel to 'Avengers Assemble.' And one that also picks up plot points from various scenes before during and after the credits in other marvel movies. So it's not really a good jumping on point if you're not familiar with the studio's output. But anyone watching it or reading this doubtless will be. So that shouldn't be a problem. The Avengers start the movie dealing with the evil organisation HYDRA. But then their downtime is spoiled by new threats. Two humans who are out for revenge. And Ultron [voiced by James Spader] an artificial intelligence who wishes to improve the planet by destroying the human race. Only the Avengers can save the day.. It does everything you would expect of it. Big action scenes. Strong character moments. Humour. Another great bring the house down moment that's totally different to the one in the first film, but no less good. New characters. Familiar faces. Continuity. References to delight comic book fans. And yet another set piece final battle with people fighting whilst things explode and things fly around shooting at each other. You will also find out why Black Widow seems to have better chemistry with all the men other than Hawkeye. The film does try to give the latter more attention also. It also sets up things for upcoming Marvel movies. Whilst still a great watch, there's just two minor flaws: Ultron is a very good villain. But never quite manages to be a great one. And it doesn't have the shock of the new and the originality of the first film. Ant-Man does, which is why that is the most enjoyable Marvel movie of the year. But this is still a very good blockbuster with lots to please. And like you're not going to watch it?
