OZCO Laredo Sunset Top Rail Saddles, 2 Inch" x 4 Inch", Steel, Powder Coated Finish, Black, 2 Pieces

I used these to mount newly planed and stained cedar porch rails. They scream "QUALITY" and they are beautiful to behold. I did a new porch remodel worth about $10K and these did not detract whatsoever from the other high quality components that were used. In fact, they highly complimented newly sand blasted and powder coated 150 year old solid iron porch balusters. I mounted the porch rails horizontally instead of vertically with the OZCO rail saddles facing inward (seen from the porch and not from the street) and the fit, finish, and appearance is impeccable. The powder coating on these rail saddles will hold up for years and years. Would recommend them on a porch rail install on ANY property. And they come with thick screws that firmly secure the saddles to the rails. The screws are thick, so if you are using a solid hardwood for your rails that have a tendency to split, be sure and pre-drill the saddle screw holes before using the accompanying screws. Top Drawer hardware that will last years and years. Hard to find!

These were perfect for my treehouse build and gave them a sharp look. These things were super sturdy and easy to install.

These are heavy duty, high quality brackets that are easy to install. They worked great on my small deck re-do.

This is made of metal and very solid. The torx screws are thick and holds the wood firmly. I used them not support the rail beam, but as a floor support for the entire railing. It is narrow, so it sits pretty flush with the width of the 2x4 (really ~1.5"). Would definitely buy again. Note though, I used another product for the rail beam. The product I used attaches to the railing beam first, but this product must be mounted on the columns or post first, then you put in the railing beam. Really Nice.

Much cleaner and robust than toe nailing railing. Time will tell if they hold up but pleased with initial installation.

I’ve used these 2x2 brackets on my recent DIY made pergola. This is an affordable akternative, heavy duty quality with good full welds ( not spot) that’s is comparable to Simpsons bracket. Powder coating is also excellent!

Our local big box store did not have these but of course Amazon did! They work as designed and look great.

Fitment was perfect for a 2x4 and very sturdy. Value was great and looks nice too.

These brackets secure the railing very well. They can also be used on stairs you just have to bend the bottom tap up or down. The black colour looks nice especially if you use the black aluminum spindles.
