This is probably good quality rice paper but I had no idea that it would be so thin - almost like tissue paper ! Every day is a school day …

This paper makes me happy.
I am using this paper for lino printing and it is perfect. I have also used the beautiful brush and done watercolour on the paper. I am so pleased to have found it and I will be buying more in future.

Very lightweight, thin rice paper with a quality chinese brush
Got to give it a go, but took it out of the wrapper when it arrived, and very impressed so far. This is a new venture and a new way of writing/painting. There will be tears but not due to the equipment - I hope! It is all about practicing, so with that this is a good kit for a beginner. I bought some Japanese black ink to try it with first. I do recommend using a foam backing in the stack first then several blotting papers before laying the rice paper on top in several layers if you are just using water, so it can take up the excess liquid, and you will achieve a better more substantial Japanese/Chinese painting. But without color, it will fade once it dries out.

I love this paper. Bought it for lino printing. My prints were amazing. Downside and a biggie hence 3 stars - as in a few of the other reviews, the paper was folded in half which means you cannot use the whole sheet for large prints. Please please find a way to deliver these flat and whole . Thank you :)
