Everything in this set is made from heavy rubber. The result is a very durable set. It costs a little more, but you get what you pay for.

I bought this for my one year old son. My wife said it was too early and I told her that if he’s gonna be a champion, it’s never too early to start training. It seemed a little expensive but when I received it, I saw why. It’s very good quality. I could have bought a cheaper plastic one that would be fine for now, but eventually I knew I was going to have to get something like this...so why not buy it now? I have no doubt this one will last for years. Thanks to this product, someday my son, playing for the Dodgers, will hit a walk off grand slam in game 7 of the World Series while I’m in the stands cheering him on. At that moment, my wife and I will look at each other and she will finally admit to me that it wasn’t too early to buy this for him. As my son crosses home plate he will look into the stands and give me a thumbs up like Benny “The Jet” Rodriguez did to Smalls in the Sandlot. It will be the greatest moment of my life.

Great starting kit for. We coaches. A must have!

I will be coaching t-ball this coming spring and wanted to give my girls a chance to play before the season started. I purchased this set because it includes everything except for the bat and we purchased a hitting net for my older son which after two years of use, still looks new. The bases are numbered which really help my youngest who is not inclined towards sports but does know her numbers from going the wrong way. It might also have to do with she's a lefty. The tee is made of thick rubber and looks like it will last longer than the one we had to replace. It is more stable and doesn't fall over every time it is hit. I don't see any difference between the newer Powernet soft core baseballs and the older soft core Adidas balls we have, except for the red Powernet logo.

My son started in his first baseball season so there is a lot of things to learn. This kit helps explain the basics of the game. Initial thoughts: Tee stand is pretty strong rubber. I even tested hitting off of it and it is easy to adjust the height. The 6 balls included are softer than normal baseballs for practicing. The bases are rubber and easy to clean. I guess the only thing for me making this a 5 star kit would be to have hard bases instead of flexible rubber ones. Probably a down side having hard ones too vs these flexible ones. Either way this is a great kit for the price!
