Replace the worn out lift supports on my 2015 Subaru Outback limited. They were easy to install and work perfectly.

My Subaru 2015 Outback had problems keeping the trunk door lifted. These very very easy to install and solved the problem. Have been using for the past year and no issues!

Original: After months of hitting my head on my tailgate and over a year of frustration - these were installed in about 8 minutes. Tip - get a board about 4' long to hold up the tailgate while you take the old struts off. Good to go. Works like a charm. Had an issue after almost a year, but seller quickly fixed.

My 2016 Subaru outback Gate was only opening part way before automatically closing especially during cold weather. All the usual things were tried to fix the problem. It was not until the lift supports were replaced that the gate worked as it should. Note, this was a last resort because the original 2016 lift supports had not failed completely they just got weak over time. Very happy with the lift units and much less expensive than what Subaru would charge to replace. Highly recommend this product.

Subaru Outback 2015 and the lift gate stopped going up automatically. Looked it up and it was suggested to replace these. Easy to install (follow the directions) in about 10 minutes and lift gate is back to normal. Recommended.

Didn’t fit my subaru

These fit our 2015 Subaru Outback perfectly, were easy to install, and worked well - at first. However, they only supported complete lifts of the hatch about a dozen times. Since that time, the lifting assist has stalled at about 3/4 open. Yes - I have checked and reset the "lift-height" memory. The lift height was and is set for fully open. If we manually complete the lift, these struts will support the hatch in the full open position. Unlike the OEM struts, which had failed to the extent that after the hatch was fully open, it would immediately sound a signal and begin closing. These replacement sturts are past the 30-day Amazon return however, there should be a manufacturer's warranty longer than 30 days!

Returned them and ordered again and received the correct item
