My aunt has a Chevy truck that had aftermarket power locks added. One actuator died and it appeared to be very similar to these. I installed one and gave her the other to keep as a spare. Works just like the original and she’s happy.

I bought this set of door lock actuators to replace the substantially more expensive autoloc actuators that stopped working after 4 years of use. As many have posted, there were no installation instructions provided, these actuators are "plug and play" installation, if you have an existing autoloc set up. The color coded wires match up exactly as the autoloc locking system. If you download the autoloc installation instructions, it will work for this set-up too.

I needed these to replace the automatic locking function on my garage door. The original one had a longer reach, or throw distance than the 2 wire ones that are out there. The only wires i had to use are the blue and the green. One pulls the actuator and one pushes. I don't remember which does what right now, but for my application this worked great. The garage door manufacturer wanted $80 dollars for the same part, minus 3 wires.

These are the same budget units you can get almost anywhere with the exception that I ordered the units with 5 wire instead of two. These are going into a resto mod with customized door operating handles inside and out so I decided that a 5 wire unit would give me more flexibility in custom switches and operation. he only problem is that the units have no indication of what wire does what. Black is probably ground but it would be nice to have an idea of what the other four wires are dedicated to. I'll run a quick blow fuse and just see by trial and error what to label the wires, Come on, a little slip of paper with the wire code info would be nice!!

They work just like any other cheap solenoid. Let's see how long they last.

I INSTALED IT ON A 4 WIRE ACTUATOR. GREEN AND BLUE ARE ( +&-) OTHER 3 WIRES ARE SWITCHED ( NORMALLY OPEN ) AND ( NORMALLY CLOSED ) USING THE BLACK AS COMMON

The seller was actually CARVIA The device came with no instructions at all. I removed the 5 wire actuator from my truck's door. It was an identical looking actuator except that my 5 wires had some different colors. I contacted CARVIA and asked if they would identify the function of each of the wires on their unit and I could determine the function of my truck's 5 wires I waited but never heard from them. I installed the CARYIA by placing it's wires by their position on the device compared to the wire positions on my old actuator, and not by color, position alone. I returned them through Prime It blew the door lock fuse. I returned them. They could have a) included a wiring chart with it, or answered my question and I could have then installed it.

The connections are a bit frail. Got moisture in that led to corrosion and replaced with brass connectors. Outside of that great product!

I did not need the 5 wire model but did not know that at the time. Installed them on a 2004 Suzuki Carry JDM mini truck and they work great.

Bought these to replace an existing unit that was heading South quickly. The biggest draw back is there is no wiring detail, suppose to be standard colour coding by wire, but not all cars the same. Had to get neighbour ( generator electrician) to sort out which where motor wires and which were switch wires. Easy fix if supplier would include simple schematic of these as identified. Overall a good product
