A great product with amazing customer support!
I bought my first Hydrapak over 10 years ago. It finally sprung a leak this summer but I had used it a lot. I bought a new one on Amazon and can see that they have made a few small improvements on an already fabulous product. Amazingly I was on they're website to see what offerings they had and saw their lifetime warranty so I sent them a photo of the leaking, 10 year old bladder. I just received a warranty replacement for no charge. I have several of the leading brand (CB) in all shapes and sizes that all leak from the big round screw cap. The Hydrapak is so much easier to seal and to clean. Once you have one of these, you won't turn back.

Wow! Very Impressed
I am very impressed by the HydraPak Shape-Shift water bladder. First, for anyone wondering, the quick disconnect is perfectly compatible with the Osprey quick connectors. Second, I really like the top fill design much better than the traditional fill design with the large screw cap on the front (like camelbak). It is much easier to fill, especially while the bladder is still in the backpack. Third, the shape is much better than traditional bladders; it is rectangular instead of trapezoidal and is easier to fit into a larger variety of bladder compartments. Fourth, I really like the quick disconnect. I can disconnect the hose without the bladder leaking. This is especially useful as it allows removing the bladder from a backpack while leaving the hose in place on the backpack (no fishing it out and back in again!). Fifth, I absolutely love that I can turn it inside out and it's top-rack dishwasher safe! This makes it so much easier to clean. The material seems rugged, but not as stiff as traditional bladders, so I'll have to see just how durable it is. But I don't expect any issues since it is always used inside backpacks with dedicated bladder holders where it is well protected. The low-profile feature was a little difficult to engage at first; it is similar to a zip-loc connection. However, after applying a small amount of the included food-grade silicon lubricant, it was much easier to manipulate.

Perfect for Long Backpacking Trips
I bought two of these for my boys who were going backpacking at Philmont with their scout troop. I loved that the large opening at the top made it so much easier to clean and dry out. Both reservoirs made it through all the prep hikes and 7 days out in New Mexico. And they still have a lot of life left in them. Great purchase

Works Great. Tastes Like a Hospital.
It's fine, just has that weird antiseptic taste that eventually goes away. Only thing I don't like about it is the bite valve doesn't have a cover, so if you set your pack down somewhere it attracts 100% the dust and little bits of leaf debris from about a 6 mile radius around it. One thing I very much DO like about it is the bite valve has a shut off so it doesn't leak if something other than your mouth presses against it. I also like the way the valve is designed. It's round instead of a straight slit, so you get more than just a little pee stream out of it and the pressure from your gear against the bladder means you barely have to suck at all, just bite it and it pretty much sprays into your mouth, at least when there's a lot of liquid in it. That all sounds just so wrong, but that's the way it is. Easy to fill, PITA to clean, etc. etc.... Just buy it.

Nice upgrade to earlier model
I've had a prior version of this item in my Kriega hydration pack for some time but just bought a new backpack and wanted a new HydraPak for that. It's mostly the same but now comes with a clip that you can use to hang it from if your pack has a thin strap hangar. My backpack has a thick strap so I had to remove the clip and use the slot like in the older model but I could see the use for this. I have a day pack that has one of the thin hanging loops so I can use this item in that pack. The clip is very easy to put on or take off. The top opening is different and has more sealing than the old one but I never had an issue with the old one. And now they include a small pack of food safe silicone lubricant. The old one didn't and it was very hard to open and close the top and same for the bite valve. That was a common problem and like many others I already had bought that kind of lubricant. But it's nice that they realized there was an issue. And I didn't need to lubricate for initial use because there was no issue opening and closing it. Other one was very hard to open and close when brand new.

Great hydration bladder
I have two running packs and got this as a back up to my other 1.5L bladder. I own Hydro pack in the 2.0 L and 1.5 L. The 1.5L fits a little better in my pack, 2.0L is for longer runs. The flexibility, ease of filling, and ease of cleaning are great with this product. You can turn the bladder inside out with the exception of the clip at the top of the pack, so it can dry fully. Apparently you can even put it in the dishwasher, although I haven’t tried this. It’s also easy to remove the mouthpiece so you can clean & drain the hose with a hose brush. I really like the bite valve design with a lock to avoid leaks in transport. Pro hint: buy an extra bite valve in case if emergency failure. Mine went in the middle of a 23 mi trail run. I was SOAKED from water dripping down my front. Had I used the hose with a locking valve, or had a spare bite valve, it would have been fine.

great little reservoir
game changer. love using this reservoir! I have been using a bottle for decades and finally made this switch. worth every penny. Its small, "high quality" whatever that means in today's world. Holds water really well and keeps things fresh.

A functional water bladder that's easy to clean and drain
I've been using water bladders for over a decade, including the early models of Camelback. The main issue with side-load bladders is that drying them completely takes a long time and requires attention, in order to avoid molding. The main benefit of the Hydrapack is that the top opens completely, side-to-side, allowing you to turn it upside-down and let it drain easily, which makes trying a much smoother process. This particular one also has a middle section that connects the two main bladder walls, which prevents the typical ballooning with bladders and maintains a slimmer profile (which is great because you can slide it in a narrow pack quite easily). I've had no issues with plastic taste from the material. But dropping some water with white vinegar in it can clear any aftertaste you may encounter. The product has been good on hikes, bike rides and even long walks.

Ottimo prodotto

Thin, Lightweight, Sturdy and Durable
This is of good quality - it is ultra-light and thin, yet durable and sturdy. It's fully reversible for easy cleaning and drying. It is a 2L with option for 1.5L if you stick the middle mechanism together, when unlock them, it is 2L filled. No leakage, 100% tight and sealed. Just that the mouth piece has to lock when not drinking, else water will slip thru there. Also love it is top filled instead of front, easier to pour the water in and to the max. Love everything about it.
