I like short stories books. And this book has so many interesting short stories. But this book is not for beginners of English because it is full of complicated words and vocabulary so if you are beginner, i won't recommend you. And over all this book is great for readers.

I bought this collection because I wanted to read and learn from some of the world's most celebrated short stories. Since the book contains works by renowned authors such as Edgar Allan Poe, Anton Chekhov, James Joyce, Charles Dickens, and many others, I expected the stories to be immersive, engaging, and difficult to put down. The collection certainly offers an impressive selection of classic literature and provides readers with access to many influential writers in a single volume. A few stories were enjoyable, especially those whose reputations I was already familiar with. However, my overall reading experience was mixed. While I can appreciate the literary significance of these works, I found that many of the stories felt slow-paced and less engaging than I had expected. Several endings also felt underwhelming to me. Much of the writing reflects the style and language of earlier periods, which can feel archaic and challenging for modern readers. The language ranges from moderate to advanced, and I occasionally found it difficult to stay immersed in the stories. Because of this, I would not necessarily recommend this collection to someone who is completely new to reading fiction or short stories. Readers who enjoy classic literature and historical writing styles may appreciate it more than those looking for fast-paced, contemporary storytelling. As a physical product, the book arrived in good condition. The print quality is satisfactory, the paperback binding appears durable, and the overall presentation is decent. The font size is slightly small, and the paper is somewhat thin and translucent, but these issues did not significantly affect readability. Overall, this is a valuable collection from a literary perspective, but it was not as entertaining as I had hoped. I would recommend it primarily to readers interested in exploring classic authors rather than those seeking consistently engaging stories.

The collection is one of a kind putting together the best writers of the world some of whom I was familiar with and others to who the book introduced to me. Worth the money.

More or less all 3 are important. Content.. the list of the authors and stories seems very good. I yet have to read them and update review about the language and vocabulary later. Magerial... Paper material is simpler and not of superior quality, but I think because of it the book stays lightweight; which allows us to carry it anywhere and handle properly. Packaging.. it should have been better. Fher was no bubllewrap lining inside amazon cover nor was it bubble-wrapped separately. Another book that I got at the same time had bubblewrap. If improper packaging damages your brand new book which is not returnable then it is important. Yes, you can replace the book, but the another one can be similarly damaged because of poor packaging.

As a person with literary interests, I would really like to recommend it. Buy it for your parents, they will love it if they have libreal arts background. It covers a lot of story writers, although it could have chosen niche stories, a many of them you would have already read since it's a collection of top 100. Not for kids below 13-14 since it has no pictures or may appear boring.

This book looks beautiful from the cover page. The printing quality inside is also excellent. If you want to have a quick and short read, this is a good book. Also the price is also cheaper than book shops.

The description says hardcover but its a paperback with blue and white font thats show in the pictures in other reviews. For the price I’d be willing to overlook it, however, a little clarity wouldn't have hurt because we all know not to judge a book by its cover. Furthermore, there are close to 30 authors with some beloved classics and some lesser known titles, which will make for an interesting read.

Love the book—as an English teacher it’s a great resource. That stories are ordered alphabetically by author; I wish it was chronological and included a bit of background/context on each. Note also that my copy’s cover does not match the picture advertised—aka teal instead of gold. Very glad I purchased!
