Bristan Traditional Bath waste With Porcelain Plug-chrome

I Bought this Bath waste to complement the sink waste that I had previously installed (I have not fitted the Bath waste yet) but it looks good with the ceramic plug. I hope I do not require any waste trap washers as I did with the sink waste as this was quite a job. The manufacturer recommends pure silicon sealant (I think they mean Silicone) where applicable--this is fine if you do not have to remove the waste because of a leak and re-apply the Silicone. If it last as long as as the one I am replacing (plastic with Chrome plating which is peeling after 25 years plus) I will be pleased.

Installed in my new bath and no leaks.To be honest this is basically a cosmetic item. It has a hard, white, ceramic top with some black lettering on a heavy solid metal base and a rubber band to give a good seal while plugged in. It has a distinctive, even unique, old fashioned look. Exactly the look I wanted so I give it five stars.

Bought for my dad, who quite frankly would moan that the sun rises. It’s been a few weeks since they’ve been delivered and still no call to complain, in my opinion either my dad has passed away or they are exceptionally good.

Excellent quality and importantly it came with a brass nut rather than a plastic one. Used a bit of Plumbers Gold to seal the joints and 3 weeks in, no leaks!

We discovered the waste washers were defective and caused our cieling to leak. Unfortunatly after the 30 day warrenty so there was nothing we could do. Very dissapointed with this purchase.
