Great product, works great for seniors wanting to gain muscle
Tastes great and mixes well with monk fruit sugar and vanilla extract. I take it with 2000 mg of Leucine and milk and also with Creatine Monohydrate and I am almost 73 and my arms are getting bigger and waist is getting smaller. My blood glucose levels is also dropping. I highly recommend this product.

Correction: This product DOES have a scoop! Five stars
Far down in the product, after much improvised measurements, I found the scoop! I am delighted. Will try to correct Rufus Ai on this point today,

Blends into nearly anything - unless it's hot!
I've used this for years, after deciding there had to be something better than the artificially flavored protein powders found at the big box stores. Best tip -- don't add this to anything hot, or you'll get tiny, unpleasant, cheesy lumps. I love it in my morning coffee but blend it into an inch of coffee in my mug plus a splash of cold milk. A battery powered frother works fine for that, and yes it will make great froth!. Alternatively, I'll mix it up in a big batch using my NutraBullet (3 scoops in 16 oz milk gives me about 1 serving of protein per oz). Mixing it the night before helps it dissolve completely and also gives time for the foam to settle. My dad is recovering from a hospital stay and having trouble eating, so we're putting this into every glass of milk. He likes the milk even better with the added whey protein, says it's creamier and goes down more easily. I've added it to instant pudding and even to jello (blend with the cold water before adding it to the hot water plus jello powder), and it's all gone over well. I haven't tried baking with it yet, but Dad's nutritionist suggested putting it into anything from cookies to muffins. I think as long as I dissolve it into a liquid ingredient before mixing & baking, that should work fine. Needless to say, it's great in smoothies. A scoop of the powder, 6 oz yogurt, 1/4 to 1/2 cup frozen fruit, and a spash of milk... even if he doesn't finish it, Dad gets enough protein to have it count as a decent meal. My seldom-hungry daughter will have a smoothie when nothing else appeals, also. One final note -- I appreciate the single source protein, since I've been told to avoid soy (breast cancer survivor), so most protein bars are "out" for me. As other reviewers have said, I'd give this six stars if I could!

New to protein powder, a real experience.
First off, this is the first protein powder that I have tried and I am mostly happy with it. Before buying any protein powder research the different types of powders and different brands. This is especially useful if you have any food sensitivity or allergy. I also recommend researching brands especially considering some can contain heavy metals or other chemical irritants, intentional or not. Check for recalls. I found Jarrow Whey to be a good, pure, and clean milk protein. The most noted comments I saw were on taste and solubility. Many proteins that say unflavored mean no artificial flavors like chocolate or vanilla, not tasteless. Based on reviews I prepared myself for it to taste like **** because I wasn't accustomed to it, but to suck it up because I needed the protein. I was pleasantly surprised, it kind of tastes like a weird, mild cheese. While not extremely delicious (I definitely would not have this by itself or in just plain water), it is masked by strong flavors into a sort of milky tasting liquid. I frequently make an instant coffee protein shake and it kind of just tastes like milky coffee. Sometimes I add unsweetened cocoa. I will note that when I do the coffee mix, rather than a smoothie in the blender, the protein gets clumpy and foamy, while not impossible to mix it is frustrating when running late. However given enough time the clumps dissolve and the foam dissipates. Other tips to enjoy whey protein. "I put that **** on everything" quite literally. I try to integrate this protein into 2 or 3 meals a day. -Its great in soups or chili, I would recommend adding a little extra liquid because it acts like a thickener. Corn chowder? Yum! -Hate greek yogurt? Add some protein powder to regular or non fat yogurt and get a more powerful snack. I recommend flavored yogurt or adding fruit, otherwise it starts to taste a little cheesy. -This powder tastes cheesy. Why not add it to comfort food and make super mac'n'cheese or super garlic mashed potatoes. Garlic in the mashed potatoes because the whey is not real cheese and makes the potatoes taste...well...not good. -Add some to instant oatmeal or regular oatmeal. If I try something new that is particularly tasty I'll add it, but there are plenty of recipes online if you are really committed to adding protein where you can. Also any change in diet, especially a drastic one, can cause GI issues. If new to protein powder or have had a consistent lack of protein in your long term diet try to ease it into your new diet, maybe half a scoop instead of a full scoop. This should ease some GI issues associated with fluctuations in diet. It is recommended to ask your doctor before use, stop use if your GI symptoms are severe, and definitely stop use if you appear to have an allergic reaction. I only gave the product four stars because it is under review, most likely for the customers reporting packaging issues, and I have to reorder this in a round about way, which means I will be out well before the product arrives - Happy Eating The No Longer Protein Deficient Biomedical Engineer

Fantastic high-quality and affordable natural protein powder. Nothing beats Jarrow at this price point.
As an aging young man, it's only natural I've taken more of an interest in training and nutrition. With that said, throughout the past few years I've tried every protein powder there is. Some taste great, some taste awful. Some mix well and others make your shake taste like paste. I ran upon this stuff on a recommendation from an online fitness enthusiast I happen to follow. This, all around, is my favorite protein by far. In the interest of full disclosure, this stuff is simple. It's not loaded with a bunch of unnecessary stuff to satisfy your sweet tooth. It kind of just is what it is. It's not dressed up to be super fancy, it just gets the job done. It's also a breeze to mix up in a standard blender cup without clumping. I usually use the unflavored in my smoothies or shakes, always working well in both cases. If I'm drinking it alone with almond milk or water, the taste isn't smack your momma good but it's tolerable. It won't make you vomit on your shoes, in other words. If unflavored scares you then I suggest using it in smoothies with an assortment of frozen or fresh berries and/or raw cocoa powder. Or you could just buy the vanilla flavor, which I love as well. At the price point and quality there's no comparison to Jarrow. I've tried many but I won't be going back. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a No BS protein.

IMO The best whey protein powder on the market.
This Whey protein concentrate is fantastic. There are no artificial flavors, added sugar, or food colorings. Surprisingly hard characteristics to find in whey nutrition supplements... That being said this is probably the gold standard or, “as good as it gets” for whey protein supplements. I’ve bought many containers of this over the last year and have recommended it to friends and family. I like to mix one scoop of this Jarrow Whey Protein powder with about 1/4 cup milk and one teaspoon of unadulterated natural unsweetened cocoa powder. I stir it well and add another 1/4 cup of milk. [11/30/20 edit: modified recipe: 1/4 cup milk, one scoop Jarrow whey protein, 1 1/2 Teaspoon of baking cocoa, dash of ground ginger, slightly larger dash of ground turmeric, stir very well then fill rest of 12 oz. cup with the coconut water of your choice (this adds potassium to the drink). This mixture also works well for making popsicles. Freeze the mixture in some popsicle molds and make yourself convenient protein popsicles!] This is the primary method I use after a workout to get quick protein [and potassium] in the system. Quick, easy, and tasty without all the processed sugar, artificial colorings, and artificial flavors. I have also use it as an alternative to malt with plain vanilla ice-cream (note: it is definitely NOT a malt). Let the ice-cream melt just a little bit and add your scoop of whey protein, mix, and you have 36% of your daily amino acid protein in a delicious treat. It did not seem to mix well with home-made hot chocolate... I do not know why but it seemed to float to the top rather than mix with the other ingredients.

Regular "older" schmo using for weight loss and post workout. ***Revised***
***Revision: Still happy with this product just added some experience items now that I've been using it a while. You probably looked at other powders nutritional content, sugar, carbs, etc. as I did. This has what I want an none of that stuff I don't. I have been mixing this powder with non fat milk and it tastes just fine to me. Kind of like a extremely lite malted or milkshake taste I'd venture. In early 2016, at age 54 and 5'8" I was at 216lbs and decided to improve my diet and exercise regime. I had been looking for ways to cut down on "bad" carbs and calories has been difficult for me. Anyhow, I start by pounding a fiber drink such as Metamucil/alternative (taste is ok but don't want it to gel) and then mix a Jarrow Whey drink for a relaxing "snack" drink. I haven't felt the need to mix any flavorings but may do so later for variety. This regimen seems to keep me satisfied for quite a while and also works great before a meal out so I'm not so motivated to order a side or clear my plate. Take home a doggy bag! ***Great for a post workout. Protein is a must after my long runs or hikes. Helps with muscle growth, repair, and as an "older" individual, a reduction in natural muscle loss. Based on the studies that I've read, both exercise and sufficient protein intake are really important. A reduction in skeletal muscle lead to reduced metabolism and likely weight gain. I'm not bodybuilding but would like to retain musculature as I age to be fit and active. Quality over quantity perhaps but maybe both :-) I am getting more of this for sure. Oh yeah, I am not a doctor, nutritionist, bodybuilder, or even fully cognizant most of the time so regardless of my opinion...... do your homework and be healthy.

My stomach does not agree
I was pretty excited to find a well-reviewed unflavored protein at such a good price (on sale during Prime Day). I work out pretty frequently, and run as much as possible, so I rely on my post-workout shakes. As a powder, it is fine, does not clump, is not grainy and tastes OK. Mostly, I mix it with almond milk, or water (or a mix of the two), and the powder dissolves well in both. Unfortunately, this protein powder has left me with a very upset stomach, bloating, etc. I've historically used Optimum Nutrition (which is great), EAS (which is good), and any on sale vegan or plant-based proteins. I've never really had an issue with any powder until this one, so I was quite surprised, and it took some experimentation before I was completely sure. I'm sure this has worked for some people, but for me, and the sake of my intestinal track, I will have to avoid Jarrow Whey in the future.
