Had a trip planned, then discovered my throttle cable was bad. Found this one which was not only the cheapest, but also the quickest delivery. Had the cable installed in less than 30 minutes and most of that time was trying to remove the old one. Perfect fit! Thanks!!

Fair price on a quality product. This fit perfectly with my old 1988 Johnson 28 SPL. Seems like the weak point on this is the same thing that broke on the old one... the little plastic nut that allows the fine tuning of cable movement on the engine side broke on the old one and allowed too much slippage in the cable and an inability to shift. This replacement also uses plastic there, so we'll see how long it lasts. But for the moment - a perfect fit for my old motor and smooth, positive shifting now.

Perfect fit to replace the cable in my 1996 Sunbird 170 fish & ski for my 1995 Johnson 130hp outboard motor. Identical in every way and brought my shifter back to life after the black trunnion on the original cracked.
