When I received this product it felt quite heavy which made me feel slightly dubious about using it. However within 2 minutes of having the blanket over me, I was as snug as anything and felt really soothed by it. Hence I was asleep within minutes. I am sleeping all night most nights and would not be without this fabulous gravity blanket. I awake feeling fresh and quite energised. I would definitely recommend this blanket .

I wasn’t sure what to expect with this blanket and upon picking up the package was actually worried as felt so heavy but once you actually take the blanket out and spread the blanket wasn’t as heavy as I feared.It is quite strange to begin with and took a few days until I was totally used to the feeling of the blanket on me.Even in first few days it was quite a nice reassuring feeling from the blanket and after you get used to the weight is actually very comforting feeling.I sleep alone because I suffer with broken sleep and used to make unsafe for husband to work as hgv driver after been woken constantly through the night by me waking and getting up.My sleep pattern actually improved I was sleeping for 3/4 hours solid and even when I woke I wasn’t getting out of bed and up.I would just lay in the bed and gradually nod back off.I can’t say 100% without a doudt the improvement was due to blanket but personally I think the blanket played big part if not totally cause of improvement in sleep.I knew these blankets are meant to be great help for autism and serious anxiety and I can totally understand why.They give you a very comforting feeling and in my case when waking that feeling was enough to stop me getting up and waking mind totally so was able to lay relaxed and drift back to sleep.The blankets are a small investment but they are so worth that intial spend and once you have owned and used the blanket for week or so you will realise cheap even at double the price

I must admit having researched weighted blankets for children and their benefits, I decided to purchase one for myself. I chose an Odyseaco 9kg one. It took me a couple of days to get used to the weight but I have to admit my sleep pattern improved. It is best explained as "having a hug," which may not be everyone's cup of tea.The weighted blanket arrived promptly and encased in a zipped bag complete with a cover for the blanket. It felt smooth and "duvet like" despite having small glass beads inside the pockets to provide the weighted aspect. I thought that as I toss and turn throughout the night the blanket would most probably end up on the floor but no it stayed mostly in place. It is an expensive outlay but my own personal experience has been a positive and beneficial one, I would recommend the Odyseaco weighted blanket to others.

UPDATED REVIEWAt first i didnt like it mainly as getting the cover on took an hour but after using it for a few weeks i can say it was worth it...i sleep amazingly and i dont get too hot or cold....oddly enough the minute my cat lays on top of it she falls asleep aswell must be a comfort thingSo ive used this for 1 night so far and slept amazingly the reason for the 4 stars is it was a complete mare to get it in the cover took me an hour and still not in fully and really hurt my arms as its very heavy obvc. It moves when i sleep but it does have ties inside to tie it to the cover which im going to sort....i dont feel trapped like i thought i would which is nice and really helped my anxiety etc

Lovely weighted blanket, made well.

These blankets are good in the sense they feel like hugging. I tried to use it for a while. But it is not so warm. And I required another duvet on top to keep it warm. The weight of blanket itself is very much which makes it difficult to bear during the night.

find wrapping up in the blanket is instantly relaxing and helps me get to sleep much more quickly. The blanket is really soft so it's lovely to lay in without the need for an additional cover. Although it is weighted, I can still manoeuvre it to create a body cocoon, but it's big enough that I can also lay it over my bed as an extra blanket. The blanket was also far less expensive than than the others i'd looked at, so i'm very happy with my purchase.4 people found this helpful

Having suffered from sleep problems for years, I can honestly say this blanket has made such a difference. I have always taken a long time to get to sleep and had previously awoken several times through the night. I am now able to fall asleep within a short space of time and stay asleep throughout the night. It feels like a full body hug when the blanket is on. I was worried that it might make me feel too hot but it’s absolutely perfect. I can’t recommend this blanket enough!
