Great Printer and great price
Having used this printer for over a month with many great prints i feel i am ready to leave a review for this machineThis machine came well packaged with fast delivery (prime) with all the tool needed to get started. (Gloves are a bit big for my hands but done the job)After turning on and leveling from the instructions i printed my first model which comes on the included USBThe model failed, but no issue i tuned my first layer exposure setting higher and tried the included file again. This time it came out perfectly.Since i have had few failed prints and many perfect models and overall i am happy with this machine.Pros: - Amazing print quality - Price, like seriously a couple of years ago i would have only dreamed about a Resin printer for this price - Speed, its able to print full buildplate prints really fast, if i need a number of parts that could fill the buildplate i would print them on here over my CR-10 Mini - Noise, Very quiet, its in another room but the walls are thin and i can sleep with this on, a low hum from the fans and z axis moving is quieter than my Cr-10Cons - None really, would be nice if it could be networked but its perfectly fine printing from a USBNotes: - The frame is plastic some users may not like this but honestly it makes no difference - This is a resin printer so it takes a bit more cleanup and work that a standard FDM 3d printer but the quality is amazing

Great printer, impressive detail.
The Photon S is a great bit of kit that has some additions to the standard Photon model such as the dual-stabilised Z axis, higher resolution screen and improved touchscreen. There is some debate over the new plastic enclosure (used to be metal on the original Photon) however i have found it completely adequate. Yes metal is more robust but this is a 3d printer not a tank, you can even re-enforce it if it bothers you.The printer itself is easy to use, level bed > plug the usb in > fill reservoir > select the print > print it > wait eagerly. The printing workflow and resin exposure settings will need some reading and work to get right, however this is the same with all UV resin printers. With a great community to support this and the original Photon, the information and guidance is readily available. If your familiar with 3D modelling or extrusion based printers this will be easy to pick up, if this is your first go be prepared to put in a bit of time to get A grade results. From receiving the printer to producing my first quality, "dialed-in" (read as with optimum exposure and support settings) print took just 5 prints. 2 of them were exposure tests. The first print worked well but was lacking detail because i was using exposure times that were too long. The second and third print were exposure tests using the R_E_R_F files available from Anycubic and Thingiverse. The fourth print worked well but exposure was just a little under. The firth print was flawless and had great detail that came out even more once once primed. The attached images are of the fifth print with some additional items.

Amazing printer for the price BUT tricky to master
The Photon S is just a small incremental improvement over older Photon to address some of it's shortfalls... dual Z-axis rails to make the build platform more stable, slightly larger build space and some UI improvements is all I know about.Positives- printer arrived fast and in perfect condition- 1 month in I have no big issues- AMAZING print quality for things like games miniatures (see pics above and notes below)Things you should probably know about before buying:- included software is basic, luckily ChiTuBox 1.4 (free ) supports the printer natively now and is just all round better- the FEP film does cloud up fast - regard it as a consumable you are going to have to replace; just buy one each time you get a new bottle of resin.- it is messy to use and clean up com, pared to a filament printer - just get lots of Nitrile gloves, 99% IPA and disposable funnels when you buy it.- models need a little work when they come out - IPA washes and further exposure to UV using the sun (when occasionally available in Scotland) or a cheap LED UV Lamps you use for Nails (far more reliable)- build plate is small and printing is slow (4-8 hours for a build plate of miniatures). My Experience So Far:I find the printer complements my filament printer - it's large built plate and faster rate lets me print the "big stuff" and then I use this resin printer for doing small stuff or the fine details I attach to the large prints.Like all 3D printers DO NOT think you can"just print stuff". Learning each printer (in the low cost space anyway) will be a learning experience and for every good print - you will find yourself with a few bad ones (see other pic showing all the "broken" miniatures). Patience will be tested as you tune in things like exposure times, print orientation, best use of supports, plate levelling, etc. These will need to be continuously adapted depending upon the resin you are using, the FEP film cloudiness, the phase of the moon, etc.Miniature printing tips:- SHAKE the resin well before using it!- Print miniatures at about a 45 degree angle with good supports and use a raft.- Have the first 5-10 layers printed with very high exposure (60s) and using a raft solved my plate adhesion issues.- Loosing detail is probably due to over-exposure (>8s).- Losing limbs is probably due to under-exposure (<7s).- i.e. there is a fine balance to maintain here which does creep between printsThere seems to be a lot more variables that in filament printing... if you get a good print once, you are not guaranteed a second on on the same settings. Prepare to get a little frustrated. But that all said, once the stars align the output is stunning, FAR better than anything you can get from a filament printer. Will report in again in a few months for a machine reliability update, whether my skills have improved enough to avoid bad prints, and any more tips.
