easy to use
Half sticks are easier for me to use than large ones, which I usually have to break in half. This set has great choices of grays. A very good addition to my pastels.

Easy on the pressure or the tooth of the paper will fill too quickly
Smooth and soft like butter. Great hues with subtle vale changes.

Gorgeous quality of soft pastels
Love the buttery quality of these Richeson pastels- this brand is new to me. Colours are excellent (bought the grey colour-range. Only drawback was the size of the full stick is more like a half stick of sennelier (pink) so makes this more expensive. Because of quality, however, likely to buy this brand again.

Good quality
First time to consider investing some neutral coloured pastels. These Richeson ones are buttery but also firm enough for control. Good colour selection for this set. They instantly took my painting to the next level. Definitely will buy more in the future.
