I can see some mixed reviews so I thought I’d share my experience with this moisturizer which dates back to at least 2010 when I first discovered it. It worked well for me back then. I am a long time tanning bed user (once a week for the last 16 years) and struggle with mild discoloration/brown sun spots which I know is risky, terrible and my fault. That said, I never had noticeable sun damage when I used this moisturizer. It hid them perfectly. Flash forward a few years later and you can’t find this cream in stores around here. I’ve used everything from olay, to Roc, to Tula and nothing hides my brown spots. Then I found this beauty on Amazon and used it one week. Low and behold my brown spots are noticeably minimized. I’d expect in a few more days they’ll be hardly visible. I have no idea what helioplex is, but it works like a charm. It moisturizes well, contains an SPF which I’m glad for, and isn’t greasy. I have oily acne prone skin and my skin is clear with this cream.

This product really works! This is a really good investment. I received it about a week after I ordered it and I put it on the next day. Within a week, I noticed my skin was visibly more even, and my acne scars were slightly duller. I'm African American, so finding a good moisturizer for my skin tone has been difficult. The SPF 30 is also great-the cream goes on smoothly and doesn't make your face look too greasy or shiny. It is very subtle. My skin also feels smoother after using it, and it doesn't clog the pores on my face either. The only thing that gets annoying is that sometimes, a weird oily substance comes out of the bottle instead of the cream, but I'm just assuming that is the SPF oil that hasn't gotten mixed with the moisturizing cream enough. Overall, I would definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a good moisturizer-your skin will look amazing!

I've been using this product for about four days now. I was using Cetaphil's SPF 50 daily moisturizer but it was way too greasy for me. It left my face really shiny and didn't really moisturize all that well. I did love the fact it was SPF 50 though. I thought I would try this out because I do have an uneven skin tone and so far, I really like it. It moisturizes really well, but isn't greasy at all. In fact, it absorbs really quickly. Doesn't leave my face shiny or anything! I have a really bad problem with redness on each side of my nose, and I promise you that it has drastically calmed down since I started to use this product. I'm so happy that there is something that is taming the redness! Hopefully it'll continue to work. The only thing I personally don't like about it, is the fact that it has a heavy scent! I wish it was non-scented. Being a guy, I'd prefer not to have my face smell so feminine. The smell does tend to fade away as the day goes on though, so that's good.

This is a great product for darker skin with hyperpigmentation spots and patches. I have combination skin (classic T-zone: oily forehead, nose, and chin and dry cheeks) and used to have dark spots and patches, mostly on my chin and cheeks. Since using the Neutrogena Visibly Even Daily Moisturizer for the past 5 months, I have noticed an evening out of my skin tone and a fading of the darkness on my cheeks. I've also noticed that my skin is softer and smoother than in the past. An added bonus is that this moisturizer doesn't go on shiny. It has a smooth, velvety texture that keeps my T-zone under control and serves as a good base for my make-up. Even several hours after application, my skin still isn't oily! The soy in this product, a natural skin brightener, works to smooth and soften the skin while the SPF protects your skin from further sun damage. This combination of moisturizing, brightening and protecting over time leads to glowing, healthier-looking skin. I use this along with the Neutrogena Visibly Even Foaming Cleanser every day and pray this line never gets discontinued!

i like it, i've only used it once so far so i could see what it smelled like but the fragrance is very minimal and the lotion does its job. i like neutrogena products in general as they are always quality stuff. i bought this specifically because i didn't want a jar as it will also be used by my husband and i don't want his fingers dipping in the jar and making it disgusting you know what i mean? so i wanted a pump or tube that will keep the lotion protected so to speak. i also didn't want something that smelled too floral or mediciny and took a chance on this after reading some of the other reviews and it didn't disappoint. there is a slight fragrance but it is very light and doesn't linger long and it is not mediciny at all. the lotion is not liquidy or super thick. you do have to massage it into your skin but it absorbs in a normal amount of time. i haven't used it long enough to see if my skin tone has evened out or anything like that but i didn't really buy it for that. i wanted an affordable face lotion in a pump or tube that didn't smell and wasn't greasy and would keep my face moisturized all day and this meets my criteria. if i didn't have to deal with my husband using my stuff, i would be buying more expensive stuff like murad or perricone and get it in a jar since it would be just me using it. but because he likes to use excess lotion no matter how many times i tell him to stop wasting my stuff, i have been resorted to buying much cheaper stuff in a more sanitary type container. next time i will probably buy it in a bigger size though.

I've used this product for years as my primary moisturizer, and I love it. It works as a moisturizer, sunscreen, and spot corrector. As a moisturizer, it does the trick in keeping my skin quenched. As a dark spot corrector, it takes several weeks to see results, but I feel that it works. My skin suffers from hyperpigmentation. If I get acne or blemishes, I'm left with scars that take 6 months to fade. With this face cream, the dark spots fade in weeks. The SPF in the product also helps prevent additional sun damage from "tanning" my dark spots. It lasts me months before I have to buy a new bottle. If you're applying during hot weather, allow it to dry completely and pat the moisture with a tissue before you apply makeup. I find that it makes me sweat a little more (it's a thicker cream), so I need to air it out and let it absorb properly to prevent the grease buildup. I wait about five minutes for it to absorb before I move on with my makeup routine. Once it dries, it doesn't look or feel greasy, but it doesn't leave your skin completely dry either. I have an oily T-zone and acne-prone skin, so I can't speak for other skin types.

I use this product almost every day. So thats about four months now. At first I didn't and then stop using it for a while but I'm back to using it. I have been using it on and off since purchase date, mostly on but I have to say I have seen no improvement in my skin. I haven't seen it even out my skin tone or anything which is sad to say cause I hope it would have worked. Also I find that for some reason there's this liquid that is separating itself from the actual product. It's kinda of oily and I have to shake it up a bit. I don't know if its because the whether is hot because I live in the Caribbean. I just don't know. It very moisturizing on my face though and leaves my face feeling very soft after application. Oh yeah and it makes me sweat like crazy! But I don't use it that much if I know I'm going to be active that day. It's just an okay product.. Was hoping it would have been better.

I was looking for a formula containing SPF that I could tolerate as a daily moisturizer kind of thing. I've had an Aveeno SPF daily moisturizer for a while and I just experienced too much burning and heaviness when I put it on. Also, I have keratosis pilaris on my arms, legs, and cheeks, but my cheek area is particularly finicky--anything irritating gives way to streaky/splotchy redness and an uncomfortable burning sensation. I almost always have issues with chemical SPF products--the burning, the weird blotchy reaction--so I couldn't bring myself to put it on regularly in the mornings. I sit by a window to study all day at school and wanted to try to find something that would lend a little protection. I never believe over the counter creams deliver any promises they make, so the highest hope I had for this product was that it would be tolerable enough and not cause any flaring on my cheeks. I've used it two days in a row and I'm happy to say I'm issue-free thus far (but I'll update if there are any changes for the worst). Also, after applying it, it really does seem to evoke some kind of nice change in my skin that makes the perpetually slightly red cheek areas of my keratosis pilaris calm down and even out. Pleasantly surprised. I just hope things stay this good and I don't become sensitized or otherwise start developing issues with use over time.

I love this product! Unlike other neutrogena face sunscreens it doesnt leave a film and is great under makeup. I let it sit for a while before applying makeup. I hope it helps with my dark spots. They seem less prominent. I will be buying a second tube and hopefully there will be greater improvement.

After reading a lot of grea reviews about this moisturizer and searching for something that would help fade away my acne scars, I decided to order this! I had high expectations, but since I had never used moisturizers with this effect, I decided to take it slowly and not expect a miracle. Well, a miracle really will not happen, but this is amazing! The packaging is algo very good because it informs about the ingredients in detail and what we should expect (unlike many cosmetics, it doesnt promise visible changes right away) which is also a plus. The moisturizer in itself leaves my face feeling very soft and hydrated, while not making it greasy! A little goes a long way too! My face, after the first week, is looking much brighter and fairer, and the acne scars I had, while not yet completely faded (it says that should happen only after 8 weeks), are now light pink instead of brownish, which is already great, because it's only been 2 weeks of usage! The SPF makes for a great allie in a sunny country like mine. For me, the only cons would be that if you have an oily face, you should apply this only in your cheeks or in very small quantities, because it's not mattifying, but it doesnt claim to be either.
