Good for more than meat
I got this to try on meat and it’s a great seasoning for that. I discovered that it is great on other things like vegetables and pasta.

Good Blackened Seasoning for use on gish
This is good blackened seasoning, and I use it on fish frequently. I had some of the older version, and to be honest I do not think it is as good as the older one was. Compared to that it seems to lack a little flavor, which is why I am giving it 4 instead of 5 stars. There is a texture difference as well, as the oler one was more of a powder almost like ground pepper, whereas this one is a bit more on the flaky side. However, I still like it

Too corse
Really enjoy this product but the pieces are just a little too corse for my liking. I’d recommend grinding them prior to cooking

Great for grilling!
This is the Big & Zesty version of Zatarains Blackening Spice - it’s a bit less salty and significantly more flavorful. I have been having trouble finding Zatarain’s Big & Zesty in supermarkets - so it is convenient to order through Amazon. This spice mix is great for grilling meats or fish - especially good on Cedar Planked Salmon!
