My fifteen year old daughter is involved in a theater group. she loves styling herself and cast-mates to look like the favorite characters, and it’s someone different every few days. On one of her recent productions, she was having issues with a Dr. Seuss look to the characters, so I decided to get a face painting set to help give the cast get that extra touch to some of their costumes. I’m decent when it comes to artistic stuff, but painting the face of a squirming teenager is a whole other playing field! Luckily, I was pleasantly surprised that this set is so incredibly easy to use! It comes with painting kit, which is certainly easier to use and far less messy, making cleanup much better. . I love that you have all these options, as the sponges are perfect for covering large areas and each of the brushes are great for the finer details. Just like a regular paint palette, these paints just need a little bit of water to get going. A little bit goes a long way, so I can tell that each color will last quite a while which is awesome. The paint applies smoothly and easily, and with a great vibrant color. It dries fairly quickly as you’re applying it, so you don’t have to worry about it smudging much. It has a great variety of colors, so you can create all kinds of designs with them. The paint washes off easily as well which is always appreciated for this type of product. The instructions suggest soap and water or rubbing alcohol, I just usually use baby wipes because it works well and is a bit easier than washing my son’s face with soap and water. Overall, it’s a great product! We’ve had lots of fun with it so far, and I know we’ll have plenty more fun with it for many days to come! I bought this to do my daughters face paint for her halloween costume. She wanted to be Skelita the Monster High doll. I had my work cut out for me. Especially since she had to dress up for her dance class and ice skating halloween parties too. I got to reaply it many times to say the least and honestly this kit made it sooooo much easier! This truly is the best quality face paints I've ever worked with. I've always loved face paint and this is the best stuff I have found! A tiny bit of water to the sponge or brush goes a long way and the paints last and last (not at all like the normal halloween makeup you buy at big box stores) It also isn't sticky or thick on your face at all. It is actually quite soft and doesnt smudge even after a night of tick or treating. This kit has inspired me to possibly do more face painting for others too! Even the glitter dries nicely and isnt like a big blob on your face, it doesnt smudge much either after drying. After 3 times of applying the white all over my daughters face I am just starting to see some of the bottom of the package so that should give you an idea of how long these will last you. If you paint faces for others for cash you may need something bigger if you are doing full faces, but for moms (or dads) who face paint at home it works great! Thank you Snazaroo for helping my daughter be the best halloween costume (and makeup) so many houses gave her extra and were in shock by how amazing she looked (many said she was the best that they had seen all night!)

I think this works fine for what it’s indented for. Just basic kids face painting. I bought it for that, but tried a few more creative looks. It doesn’t blend the best and gets splotchy if you’re trying to make more than one pass. The black, yellow, orange, & red are decently pigmented but the rest.. not so much. The brushes it comes with are useless. Use a damp makeup beauty blender & damp makeup brushes. For the price, it’s fair. But I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone trying to use it in a professional setting or more advanced makeup looks. Overall, good for what it’s advertised as.

I am far from a professional but this kit was great! It comes with a book of face paints with step by step visual instructions which is nice and easy to follow. I would also google face paints and tried to recreate them for the kids. The colors are vivid and easy to wash off. I will mention that black would stick around in hairlines, eyebrows or pores a bit more than other colors. Red and yellow stain, but not much. I frequently would paint their faces and wash it off for school the next morning without issue. Above all, my favorite thing is the hours of entertainment it provides especially in wintery Pennsylvania when we can be stuck inside for days. I have taken this to parties with other kids and it instantly becomes the life of the party. It’s been nearly a year and I only just ran out of white, and this kit was getting ALOT of use. Highly recommend!

First of all let me start off by saying this is a great product that suits its intentions perfectly. It is intended for people who want to face paint at a party but not professionally. Professional face paint costs about $15 to $20 PER COLOR. If you are going to be doing face painting long-term, go that route. If you want a really high quality face paint for one or two parties or however many faces the item description says you can do, this is definitely for you. With just a tiny TINY bit of water these colors go on smooth and opaque. You can do basically any traditional face paint design with these paints. The brushes that come with these are decent but you need face painting brushes if you plan on doing flowers or anything like that. They are inexpensive and if you search on Amazon you can find some for about $5. If you don't care that much about doing specific brush Strokes, the brushes that they give you will be okay, just not great. The sponges on the other hand are excellent. I do not recommend using latex free makeup wedges as they soak in the color and don't let it out. You want sponges similar to the texture that are in this kit. They're porous and soak in tons of color but they don't hold on to it at all when you press it up against skin. This is exactly what you want as you want the color to bleed out leaving an even opaque layer against the skin. Glitter in this kit is not great though. It is liquid glitter. Dry glitter is much easier to apply to wet face paint. The liquid glitter can be difficult to apply over places where you have multiple colors applied as it re-liquefies the paint, obviously because it's liquid, and causes everything to bleed or smear if you're not careful. If you plan on applying this to bare skin or over one solid color it would work okay but I really recommend getting a dry glitter that you can apply directly to wet face paint if glitter is important for the designs you want to do. Comes off really easily with just water. I like to hand out an unscented baby wipe that is designed for sensitive skin. I just put one wipe in a ziplock bag and hand it to the parent when they're kid is just sitting down to the table. Takes the color off great. It's also easier for little kids than holding their face over a sink! You may want two wipes if you plan on doing the full face. Really great kit for amateur face painters!

Points for being made in the UK and it being a full kit with several colors, glitter, sponges, and brushes. However, the bigger brush tip popped off the handle right after I washed it! I'll have to super glue it once I get the chance. I'm not completely sold on the watercolor style. It's great for keeping a lighter feel on the skin, but it's really hard to keep it from being blotchy, as you can see in many of the posted photos. You have to use the big sponge over big areas, a small sponge over smaller areas, and brushes in cervices, and just keep blotting and dabbing it on to avoid a mottled and streaked look if you're needing an all over covering as I did for my son to be the Grinch for a dance performance. Gratefully, I knew to do this from a previous reviewer--thanks, Sadness!!!! It was really tricky to do that with a wiggly child who isn't used to the feel of any kind of face anything, though. When he would scrunch up his face as I was applying it, it would get pressed out of his skin folds, so he'd get bare places over and over again. Finally got it decent looking and sent him--late--to join his classmates. Comes out after rehearsal, and it's half rubbed off and all over his hands and arms. Ugh! I thought it was likely to rub off with it being water-based, but reviews talked about it staying on well, so I went for it. Looks like I need an oil-based option with a light feel--one that I can find somewhere last minute! Next time I'll order a couple options! As for cleaning, the green stained my hands yellow, despite using hand soap to get it off. However, a basic Neutrogena face cleanser took it off my son's face very well. I tried the light pink and a small round sponge to make little pink circles on my daughter's cheeks. She was a very willing participate, and as long as I used only a little water so that it didn't drip, it worked well to dab the round circle on each cheek. The color darkened a bit as it dried. However, when I tried the translucent glitter (the other glitter was silver), putting it on the light pink paint changed the color not just temporarily while it was wet but permanently. Just something to be aware of..... Do be sure you give yourself the chance to experiment with it before you need to wear it for show. I'm so glad did, but I wish I had given myself a bit more time to find an ideal option and for my boy to get more used to the feel of face paint. He seemed to be starting to like it, though, so there's hope for us yet!

This is the second Snazaroo paint kit I have bought. My first kit had a larger amount of paint, but only in six colors, plus white and black. I remember searching for a kit with more colors, but they were all more than I wanted to spend at that time. This set has a perfect balance of variety for not a lot of money. I LOVE that this kit has pink and brown (two big holes in my last set), as well as two types of glitter paint AND two types of face glitter. I just painted approximately 20 full or half faces and still have a lot left. My previous set had more paint per color (but less colors), but it almost lasted too long and I had to work with cracked, dried out paint (just reconsitute with water, but it wasn't as nice or easy as before it dried out). The only downside is that there are only two brushes. However, I previously bought a set of 5 brushes to go with my facepaints. Even if it came with numerous brushes, I would still feel more comfortable buying a seperate, high quality brush set. As for the brand itself, I really like Snazaroo paints. They go on very smoothly and blend nicely. If I make a mistake, the paint wipes off quickly and completely. Very, very fine lines can be difficult at times, but since I am still new at facepainting, it could be my evolving techinique.

These are FANTASTIC face paints!! Very high quality allowing for either basic or extremely artistic designs. Some of the colors benefit from using a little bit of water on the brush to swirl into the paint. Once painted onto skin the paint stays yet easily cleans off with make up remover. The colors are vivid and strong, even the pink can be made bright and bold or kept light and pastel, depending on application. This kit has a professional quality to it for an excellent price. Also, there is so much paint!! This set will last a long time, perfect for face painting at a group event where a lot of paint is needed. Highly recommend this face paint set! The *only* negative is the tray holding the paints is a little flimsy, made of thin plastic. However, having a cheaper tray probably keeps the price down so actually that makes it okay. However, I wanted to mention that as part of the review.

Received it today. Fast delivery. Seems like quality paint. 2 pots if glitters. I will update when we use it. I am excited to see if it glides well. Update: at first I was disappointed when I saw the tiny little paint colours. I was not sure I would have a lot especially after reading you can make about 25 faces. After using it, I can attest that yes you can make that many faces. You might run out of some colours first. The booklet with ideas shows different make up ideas in 3 steps. It was easy to replicate them. The paintbrushes themselves were not fantastic. One of them is all open with very soft bristle so very useless. The other one was nice to fill out shapes but was a bit big to do outlines and small details. Get the little brush package sold separately if you want to have option. The paint itself was nice to use. I had a cup of water to dip my brush. It was very easy to wash, dry and wet. Maybe too easy as my daughter rubbed her face after a couple hours and it was erasing. Maybe I need to use less water but she was very happy to be a cute little kitty. It also comes with 4 white sponges, the two small one seen on the package and 2 bigger ones.

These are brilliant. Even when the kids paint themselves and gouge at the paint, they've managed to last over a year. The colours are amazing and they don't hurt. We love them a lot
