It just WORKS!
It's been 2 months since I bought the BioGS 2.0, and I'm really happy with it so far. I live in a townhouse that is over 100 years old and could use a dusting twice a day, plus I am asthmatic who lives with a husky-shepherd mutt that I'm allergic to. I really needed something to clear up the air in my bedroom, which is a mere 87sq ft, connected to another storage room of equal size (totaling 174sq ft). - Very good sensors. If I make my bed and throw the blanket in the air, I guess there must be dust because the BioGS will kick up a level and get to work. Same if cooking smells waft by, so odor sensor works extremely well too. My room wasn't bad with odor prior to this so I can't say if it's truly great at removing smells. One should probably just clean their room and linens if something stinks in the bedroom. Pros: - Quiet on low settings, which it's on most of the time when you leave it on auto. It's easy to forget it's on. - Aesthetically beautiful. The white and the curves looks very modern and sleek; the way the functions glow and fade off is also pretty. - Well made design from a utilitarian standpoint. It is simple and easy to open, easy to clean, easy to control. Even the controller is simple and attractive. I just take off the front of the case, wipe down the dust with a microfiber cloth, take out the first two filters (prefilter & charcoal) and vacuum them. - Works well!! I have nothing but rave things to say about its effects. I no longer wake up with itchy eyes, sneezing, and coughing...which used to be a daily occurrence. You take a deep breath in my bedroom and the air is just...clean! I have kept up with taking off the cover and dusting the inside and vacuuming (on the weakest power setting) the prefilter and the charcoal filter. It's CRAZY to see all the dust stuck on the prefilter, that would otherwise be bothering my lungs. Cons: - On high setting, can be very loud, and kinda breezy. Still, that function usually does not last too long before it brings itself back down to a lower setting. - It's kind of big, but you can say this about MOST air purifiers in existence. My room is 87sq ft, all I can fit is a dresser, full-sized bed, and a doggy bed on the floor. I did not have 2ft clearance as some other reviewers suggest from the wall, however a representative of Rabbit Air that I spoke to online said it was fine to put it closer to the wall...so long as nothing is blocking its intake and outtake. So I put it on my dresser, problem solved! It's a bit big, but its functionality is very much worth it for me. None of those cons are enough to deduct a star, because it just works so well and is so well designed for me to maintain it. I have not had to replace any filters yet. At the 2 month mark, everything looks just as good as new once I vacuumed it. I expect keeping up with monthly dusting will prolong the life of my current set of filters. The high pricetag of this unit made me nervous but I am beyond pleased with it, it's nice to have a machine that just WORKS and is attractive; other air purifiers I researched were more iffy on quality control among units. So I think I paid for some peace of mind.

One of the best appliance buys I've ever made.
I've owned and used the Rabbit Air BioGS 2.0 (Model SPA-550A) for about the last 3 weeks and I can honestly state that it works extremely well in eliminating the majority of, if not all, dust, cooking odors and aerosols from the interior of my apartment (approx. 650 sf). Since I'm an allergy sufferer, I've noticed better quality air throughout my entire apartment with approximately 6 to 8 hours daily use compared to the performance of my last air purifier, which was smaller, noisy and worked only marginally well. Comparably, the Rabbit Air BioGS purifier has more features than my last air purifier, such as: remote control; automatic aerosol sensitivity control; a negative ion generator; greater area coverage; and superior low noise levels. Before purchasing the Rabbit Air unit, I completed some research of other "true HEPA" air purifiers and although the Rabbit Air unit was initially more expensive than most, daily use of the unit seems to be more efficient and cost effective, in part, through the choice of 5 automatic/manual air "cleaning" levels. I liked the fact that the manufacturer recommends changing the (relatively inexpensive) HEPA and carbon filters of the air purifier once every 18 months (for typical home use) instead of sooner compared to other brands. I would definitely recommend purchasing this air purifier.

The quietest air purifier!
This air purifier is great for keeping the dust out of the air. Itโs easy to clean and has three filters that do a great job of collecting the dust. It has many settings that you can use, depending on the amount of pollutants. I was skeptical that there might be a lot of noise with it. I am sensitive to loud noise. But it is so quiet that most of the time I donโt even hear it running. This was really a great purchase and worth the money!

Great for cat owners
I was skeptical about spending this much on an air filter when I don't have bad allergies or something that would make this a necessity, but I am definitely not regretting this purchase. I have 2 cats in a 2 bed/2 bath apartment and I keep the litter boxes in one of the bathrooms. I am a litter cleaning nazi so it doesn't smell but it would get super dusty in there. Also note I live in Colorado, perhaps one of the dustiest states in the union. I had a cheap filter I bought at Target for awhile but that thing was insanely loud and didn't do a fabulous job. Enter the RabbitAir - amazing! It is so quiet on the lower settings, and the higher settings are a nice white noise if you like that sort of thing. During the day I keep it on the auto setting, and it does an amazing job of detecting when a kitty has used the litter or i have cleaned the boxes - it ratchets up to the highest setting for a few minutes and totally eliminates the dust. I take it off the auto setting at night though because I can see it from my bed - the change in noise doesn't bother me, it's that the lights go on every time it changes settings which is annoying. So I put the fan on medium at night and it is a lovely white noise. I would highly recommend this product if dust is a problem for you.

Ultra quiet and does clean the air efficiently.
Keep in mind I am very sensitive to noise/light and donโt sleep very well. (Chronic migraines). Also keep in mind my previous air purifier was a Rabbit air minus2, which I was very happy with until it got destroyed in a move. They donโt break easily, my movers were just that badโฆeven destroyed my mattress. I just didnโt want to pay that much money again, but it was a work horse. So my comparison is to that. This had an even quieter rating, even spoke to the company directly. They are very helpful by the way. Before and after the sale. My first night was difficult due to it being set on auto. As the speed changes, the very minimal amount of lights come on and off. The change in the fan speed was apparent as well. At the highest level, the fan noise is higher pitched than my other rabbit air minus2 which never bothered me. I donโt like being dependent on using the remote to change settings. I loose things and I like a minimal amount of stuff on my nightstand. Now I just keep it at one set level through the night and we get along famously. No lights and no change in noise. It is only the highest level that is bothersome for my head. Please please please understand that this is a much quieter machine than the ones that are being recommended online. I bought different makes that were highly rated and they sit in my basement because they didnโt work as well and even though was said to be quietโฆThey werenโt. So if you are looking for the quietest most effective machine. This is it. Overall, I am very happy with how quiet all the other settings are and can tell that it is working well by how well I breathe. I am a loyal fan of my rabbit air products I have purchased so far. Instead of wasting more money, going back to rabbit air was an easy decision. The minus2 or this one. This one is lower in price and replacement filters are less also. This one is a bit quieter too. Hope it is the work horse my other one was

Great purifier
I am a nightly cigar smoker and had been using an ionizer to help with odor. This Rabbit is so much more effective, my "smell sensitive" wife says it takes all the odor out. As a bonus, we use it to purify the bedroom when one of us has a virus or other malady. Highly recommended.

I Waited A Year Before Writing This Review
After wasting time with units from Honeywell and Coway, I purchased a Rabbit Air a year ago today, and I could not be happier with it. In fact, I liked it so much I ordered a second unit directly from Rabbit Air about a month later. I use them in my den and bedroom to keep the air crisp and clean. Both rooms are about 215sf with nearly 8-foot ceilings. Theyโre super simple to maintain, requiring only a quick vacuuming every three months. They are also very quiet on the lowest two settings. I sleep with it on the next to lowest setting without problem. I suspect Iโll get at least 18 months out of the filters. I also own a Sharp FPF60UW, but only use in in a basement workout room. The Sharpโs filters are not in the same league as Rabbit Airโs. As I was writing this, I let a bit of smoke escape from the fireplace. So, I cranked up the Rabbit Air to max for five minutes and the air is back to normal! I've only dealt with Rabbit Air's customer service folks when ordering the second unit. They were awesome too!

This is the best air cleaner I have ever seen (and not heard!)
I have two units, one operating all the time, and they are fabulous. They adjust speed to conditions but mostly run really, really quietly because of a more expensive motor and great design. The filters are easy to clean and install and are absolutely not a rip off in pricing. The design is an asset to any room too. Mine are well over a year old and performing perfectly. What a great product, and remember that indoor air quality is often worse than outdoor quality. You probably need one of these.

Perfect and do the job in my condo
I have a 520 sqft condo and this model is perfect for it. The setup is simple and well explained. $100CAD for a filter can be seen as steep, but there are two of them and last about 1.5/2 years.. I added a small Houzetek in a small cabinet, strategic place where most of the neighbors' kitchen odors come from, and the two makes a good pair; I have no more rancid garlic / burnt odor from my neighbors since. Additionally to that, the air inside is better. For sure it is a certain amount to pay, about $500 is nothing to laugh at, but you have what you paid for and the peace of mind with it. The unit is silent most of the time, and fully automated (my big tower PC make more noise than it). It is always possible to manually override it and boost the fan at the max when needed.

I have pretty much stopped coughing
This unit is quiet and it doesn't contribute to my room's acoustics. My room with everything off measures at 35dB. This unit has helped with my coughing which started 3 weeks ago. I have pretty much stopped coughing. Customer service is really good as well. I was on the phone with Olivia for an hour talking about various things including ozone and she was able to clear my doubts about the ionizer. Anyways, the ionizer itself doesn't release a lot of ozone at all into your room. Testing showed that after an 8 hour period of testing, the peak concentration of ozone measured is at 0.001 ppm which is not of any concern since tests like this are likely subject to 1ppb margin of error. Ozone also has a short life and should degrade in ~6 hours according to Olivia so it won't accumulate.

Quiet and efficient
Itโs easy to set up and the remote is handy as the mail controls are under the front cover. Itโs very quiet. The highest fan level is Similar to the lowest setting on an a quiet oscillating fan and only runs for a short time. It eliminated the smell of eggs after a big breakfast. We have it in our living room/kitchen. Itโs the biggest open space in our suite. We also have shag carpet so this is helping kept the dust under control!

Completely Satisfied!
I've used an older air purifier and not only does it do a poor job compared to the Rabbit Air but also is much noisier! The design is sleek and modern and runs super smooth and quiet. The Rabbit Air is a bit pricier than most others on the market but you definitely see the value in this product. My wife and I already sleep better at night with this in the bedroom.
