Doesn't the switch come with an AC adapter? What is this for?

My birds chewed up my cable lol, so I need a replacement. Plus there's all these horror stories about third party chargers or adapters bricking Switches. Best go with the official version to avoid such issues imo

Does anyone know if the nintendo switch is multi voltage?

The adapter can go up to 15v and 2.6amp. Now the question is if it's going to only use 5v while undocked or if it can use more to charge and at what amperage. I don't know if it's up to 15v because the dock has multiple usb ports that can be used or if it's for the actual switch console.

What is the wattage on the nintendo switch ac adapter?

Simple way to calculate this on any product. Max voltage × max amperage = wattage. In this case 15v × 2.6A would be 39 Watts.

Is this ac for the dock?

Technically both. This adapter can plug into the dock to power the console in tv mode, and can also plug directly into the console to power it in tabletop and portable modes.

Original Nintendo Switch OLED Power Adapter

This is the only original Nintendo brand Power Adapter I could find on Amazon or elsewhere and the price was still reasonable compared to other makes. Tested it. Works perfectly. Buy it if you want a good quality adapter.
