HENCKELS Stainless Steel Ice Cream Scoop

So far this is the best ice cream scooper I’ve ever used. It is sturdy, non-corroding (others I’ve had corroded due to poor steel or aluminum quality), and is just plain good looking. I’m a hard person to please as a reviewer so no 5 stars here (items have to be truly amazing to reach that level for me), it is considered a little pricey compared to others but it is better, and it doesn’t feel perfect in my hand but I have large hands but it is still better than others.

I've been toting around the same ugly plastic ice cream scoop for possibly my entire adult life. I'm not a major ice cream consumer, so it's not been a huge priority, but I finally decided to upgrade to make the scooping a little easier. And who doesn't love a timeless stainless steel kitchen gadget? Definitely easier scooping (and nicely rounded, pretty scoops, too, if that's important) for you. I have several JA Henckels cooking utensils, and they're all awesome pieces - with great longevity.

You can scoop a really hard ice cream and not bend this thing! There should be some kind of award for that

Like it, but...not convinced it is 100% stainless steel. If it is then it is the weirdest permeation I've ever come across. The handle is definitely stainless, however, the scoop is a different story. Although it is a similar silver looking finish it is somewhat duller and appears to have some type of coating applied. it also (the scoop only) doesn't dry like stainless. If there are water droplets left on it then it leaves a darker silver/gray discoloration. This wipes off easily with a towel or soft rag, but once again not like real stainless. The plusses...seems to be well made, nice scoop size, easy to use and priced right. The minuses...what is the scoop made of?

I have other JA Henckels utensils and have come to expect a high quality for any product bearing their name. Well I can attest that this ice cream scoop has not disappointed. Well made stainless steel in an easy to hold design. The scoop is standard size. It easily cuts through hard frozen ice cream and serves up reasonably portioned scoops. I am pleased with this purchase and highly recommend.

Works great, looks great. It is the first metal ice cream scoop that I can put in the dishwasher without it getting ruined.
