The Art of Fine Enameling

This is the best compilation of information about glass enameling that I have found. It covers everything from the basics to advanced techniques and it identifies and references skills that are explained in depth elsewhere in the book for each of the projects. Lastly, the book itself has a nice feel to it. It isn’t cheaply made and I would be comfortable taking it with me to my shop.

This book is wonderful at explanation and examples. It's not just a coffee table book but a go-to reference. I shall be taking lessons from it to apply to my work. Good quality printing and nice clear print/colour and gloss finish.

So much work has gone into this revised edition! I own the first edition (which I read cover-to-cover many times) and was excited to hear that the second edition was out. I immediately ordered it. When I opened its pages, I was extremely happy to see how up-to-date everything was. Lots of interesting new techniques, trendsetting (and exciting) materials, and inspirational images grace its pages. The second edition is practically a new book unto itself and not just a reprinting. If you want to learn enameling or love enameling, this book is a great library addition. Perfecto!

Aside from being a handsome coffee table book this one is filled with detailed step by step procedures for doing a wide range of projects covering cloissone, champleve, basse taille and more. If you're a beginner like me this book is a most have. Between this book and the Thompson Enamel Workbook--and maybe Pam East on metal clay--you've got all you need to succeed. Well, that and practical experience...

Very informative on all types of enameling and also has walk through on projects.

This is a great book for anyone interested in the art medium of vitreous enamel. It has ample pictorial displays, it describes a wide variety of trechniques; it discusses products, and it is an introduction to works of enamel artists all over the world

This is the best enamel how-to book I've seen so far. It covers a wide variety of techniques, has many photos of technical processes as well as completed pieces by well know enamelists, and many step-by=step projects. I especially like that there is how-to content from many enamelists, not just the author.

This book is a great companion for the novice enamellist as well as those wanting to extend their repertoire. Very thorough and easily understood language, step by step projects and fantastic cross referencing. Everything you need to know and more is beautifully presented in this book. 5+ stars.

Öncelikle baskı kalitesi kusursuz, kaliteli bir kitap olduğu her halinden belli. Fakat başlıkta da belirttiğim gibi projeler baz alınarak yazılmış. Teorik bilgilere biraz daha fazla yer verilmeliydi. Sonuçta mine teknikleri hayal gücünüzle sınırlı. Bütün bunlara rağmen piyasada bulabileceğiniz en kapsamlı mine kaynağı. İngilizce ile ilgili sorununuz yoksa satın alın ve gerektiğinde başvurun.

It illustrates a comprehensive view of so many amazing techniques and with such an incredible wealth of ready-to-go information and tips altogether that I haven't found on any other treaty. And I have bought many books on the matter Indeed. Very up-to-date as well as classical techniques are proposed in close detail, to make readers ready to get going; the many images are also a stunning feature of this amazing publication: totally inspirational pictures exemplificating the wide diversity and declinations mastered by the important community of artists of this truly enchanting art.

Como libro de consulta, muy completo, aunque vino defectuoso y la tapa está mal encuadernada,ya es el segundo que pido pues el primero se daño en el envío y lo devolví... Ahora ya no sé si me queda paciencia para otra devolución...
