Summer in the hot and humid southeastern US can be brutal! Our kitchen and living room windows get beat on by sun and can make the house warmer than we prefer. Our ultimate goal is to replace our windows, but for now, this is our solution! The window tint was so easy to install- what others said about the more water you spray, the easier to install is spot on. Instantly my room was darker and cooler (the ultimate outcome!). I only planned on doing this to our 4 kitchen windows, but the results were great and I tinted 2 living room windows that let in the most heat and our master bedroom. Results in all spaces include real temperature change! Our installation happened to coincide with our electric bill, so next month’s bill will reflect how this may reduce our electric costs. Overall, excellent product, very easy to install, absorbs light well, creates a “mirror effect” from the outside looking in (so there’s a strong element of privacy, if someone desires that). We can still see outside clearly too. This has been a great choice for reducing summer heat.

My storm door is fully glass with the top glass functioning as a window. I love leaving it open for air but I didn’t like that everyone can see Straight into my living room. I was also getting the strong sun rays which was kinda defeating the purpose of letting the air in through the door window. This product has really solved my problem. First off it was super easy to install, it included everything you need for installation. First, I cut the film to size, next I used the mini spray bottle it came with to spray, then I placed on the film - shiny side facing outside, and lastly I used the scraper it came with to take out all the bumps. It was so easy and came out really nice! The film is easily removable, and can easily be reinstalled. My baby pulled it off my door twice. I just repeated the installation steps and it looks good as new. One thing to take note of is the privacy tint only works in day time. I installed at night and thought I did something wrong until I read the title “Daytime reflective mirror”. If you’re looking for some privacy on your windows or just want to keep the sun out in the summer I highly recommend this product!!!

Overall, I’m really happy with this frosted window privacy film. Installation was pretty straightforward as long as you follow the instructions, and it went on without too much hassle. It does exactly what you want it to do in terms of privacy—you can’t really see through it, but it still lets in a good amount of light, which is perfect. One tip: make sure your workspace is as clean as possible before applying it. I had a couple pieces of dog hair sneak in and get trapped under the film, which is definitely noticeable once it’s on. The only reason I’m giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is the sizing. The dimensions don’t quite cover a full standard window, so I ended up needing another roll. Because of that, I had to get a bit strategic with placement and left a small section uncovered so I can still see outside (as shown in the picture). Aside from that, it’s a solid product and does the job well.

Easy install, really works and looks great. The temp in my room dropped 5 degrees! 3 tips: -Upon arrival, loosely re-roll the film in the opposite direction otherwise it will constantly roll up while installing. Re-rolling the film takes the “spring” out of it. Careful not to kink it and let it stay rolled for at least 24 hrs. -Spray plenty of mildly soapy water on both the window and film so you can easily adjust placement. You can’t use too much water. -After applying to window, mist the film when using the squeegee as it makes the process so much easier and faster.

This was very easy to install especially after watching the installation video provided by the QR code on the instructions. The hardest part for me was finding a surface large enough to lay it out to cut it! I find it a good quality, good value for my money and definitely worth the purchase. One reviewer said that the corners wouldn't stick, and I had the same problem but once I cut the film to give a 16-in clearance up in that corner it worked fine. That was a recommendation on the installation video. I suggest you follow it. Another reviewer said that there was no protective film on the back and while it is very difficult to get the edge separated and start to remove, it is there. I was amazed at how dark it made the window but yet everything on the outside was clear, not blurry like they show in the product photos. The picture I attached shows the top part of the blinds down but you can see how much darker the window is - much darker than the screened window below it. I went outside and took another picture and while it's not completely mirror like, it's not a sunny day either so I don't know how that's going to affect the view. Standing outside I could see the blinds rather than a complete reflection like a mirror. I'm not sure that I would be happy with it on a window that didn't have blinds or curtains but in my application it's absolutely perfect. Overall, great product and I would highly recommend it.

It was slightly difficult to apply and hardnto cut.. No matter how much you squeegee, water is still trapped underneath and is giving a splotchy look. I thought this might go away after a couple days, but the water underneath still has not dried and the spots where I tried to dry it underneath won't stick. One window is worse than the other. Edit: I took the film off and dried excess water. Cleaned the windows again. Don't know how long it will stick, but it took hours to do 3 windows. The third pic is the windows with excess water cleaned Second edit: it actually looks great. Found that you have to make sure it's not too wet and that there shouldn't be any droplets on the window prior to putting film on. Update: parts are not sticking and are coming down days later. Have to constantly wet it and it looks splotchy. I will see as the weeks come, how this will stay up. Edit: The splotches dried and the windows look nice again. I learned that the water will eventually dry. For the price it's nice. Once again, I will see if it will stay. Edit: a couple of weeks later and it is still up! I've had to re-wet certain parts to make them stick. But it looks good and is staying up for the most part. Would but again! Edit: one month in and they fall off and you have to re-spray them with water maybe once per week. Would still purchase

I recently installed the HIDBEA Frosted Window Privacy Film on my front door, and I couldn't be happier with the results. If you are looking for an effective way to balance natural light with home privacy, this is a fantastic choice. Stress-Free Installation: As someone who usually dreads DIY projects involving adhesives, the static cling design was a game-changer. It was incredibly easy to reposition during the process, and since there’s no glue, there’s zero sticky mess to worry about. Instant Curb Appeal: It looks clean and professional. It transformed the look of my front entryway, giving it a modern, etched-glass appearance that looks much more expensive than it actually is. Excellent Heat & UV Control: The difference in temperature is noticeable. It does a great job of blocking the harsh midday sun and reducing glare without making the interior feel dark or cave-like. Total Privacy: It provides the perfect level of "frosted" coverage. I no longer have to worry about people seeing directly into the house, yet I still get to enjoy soft, diffused sunlight throughout the day.

Stiffer than other film I've purchased probably because of the mirror side. However it was very difficult for us to install and the bubbles are almost impossible to remove due to the stiffness. Not very flexible. Quite a few scratches and folds in it. Would go with the opaque film next time, which is much more forgiving and it looks so much better. I got the silver/black because it was for a front storm door which gets very hot in the afternoon and I was looking for the uv protection. We shall see how it looks with the heat on it all afternoon. UPDATE after 24 hours: It noticably has UV protection which was a huge plus for our front door with both heat and light. I increased my review 1 star for that, however it still doesn't look good up close with the bubbles and the few noticeable creases. I will likely remove it this winter due to the disappointing flaws.
