What's the highest temperature I can buy in therma-flec?

I’m not sure I understand your question but the thermaflec fabric can withstand the highest temperature (the linen setting). It doesn’t scorch as easily as cotton.

What is the “batting” part - is this thick cover w/ batting underneath?

This product is a heat resistant/ reflective fabric that doesn't have a batting attached. I use it to cover an ironing board that I also put 100% cotton on under the fabric. It is thin and will tear easily. It does an excellent job for an ironing board cover or pot holder surface.
