Can you connect your ipod to an amp to connect to these speakers? Yes. I have a river radio I made that I do this exact thing. You'll need a mini-to-rca adapter to plug into the RCAs on your amp.

These things are not for bass I guess they are if you're tight on money or just not interested true sound! Get subwoofers if you want Bass, these things are spectacular sound with 800 watt Kenwood amp!

Does the grill come off?

yes it does! I have 2 separate pair of these exact speakers!And do not forget that they're marine grade speakers!I use them in my Jeep Wrangler and theyre in the elements 24/7/365 and they work great! use an amp to push em too!

Yes u can. I have 2 6.5 and 4 6x9 and a 10" jl woofer with pioneer head set. But the factory head pushes fine.
