P400X4 Punch 400-Watt 4-Channel Amplifier

It's been quite a while since I bought an amp. The industry has really changed, and for the good. More features/perfornace for less cost. I've mostly owned Alpine and Precision Power amps, and I tried to buy another PPI, but they were out of stock, and I took a look at Rockford. The prices were pretty good at this time so I took a chance. The P400x4 is compact and heavy. I was surprised at the quality of construction, really nicely done. Things like that can tell you a lot about a company. Anyway, the feature set is also quite good, and being able to double the wattage from 4 to 2 ohms is seriously impressive. And the bottom line of course is the sound. This amp is really nice sounding. I'm running a set of Pioneer components, and the amp drives them effortlessly. They don't have much low bass, so I won't comment on that, but the balance and quality of vocals, instruments and highs is really good for the money. Imaging and soundstage, it's all there. I'll be buying another amp next year for the subs, and it'll be a Rockford Fosgate. Edit April 29/16 I changed up my system as I upgraded the wimpy stock 6x9 speakers on the back deck of my Altima with Pioneer TS-D6902R. I'm now running 2 channels of the amp to the rear speakers, and the front comps get the other 2 channels. Wow. This amp is making my jaw drop running all speakers full range. Lots of tight bass from the 6.5 and 6x9's. Clear, clean, effortless and more volume than I can handle. You really can't go wrong with these Punch amps.

This is a great amplifier and I've had mine since 2018. You can tune it to the way you want and to prevent clipping it has a nice led indicator. I have Rockford Fosgate everything except my subwoofer amplifier and my front door speakers as I found something better for my application. I am using this to drive two cheap speakers on my rear deck and two JL C1 speakers that can perform at a high volume. My only dislike about this unit is between my aftermarket head unit and this amplifier I've found it simply can't produce enough volume before it starts clipping. I would've been happier at the time I bought this if I had gone with a more powerful Amp but for current me this suits me most fine. For most applications this will provide you with enough volume and quality that you need, unless you're trying to show off and it gets a little distorted when turned up too loud. This is a great Amp and once you set it up you'll never touch it again. I would recomend mounting it down as I used an 8 Guage wiring kit(could have gone with 4 Guage but this unit doesn't really need it) and you definitely don't want that to get pulled out. Would recomend for casual listening but not show boating.

Clean clear highs and punchy bass where it is needed. The amplifiers sound is very bright and clean with no distortion at all with the proper speakers. It barely breaks a sweat pushing 4 260 watt 6.5 inch Faital woofers. This is my 2nd Rockford Fosgate and still have the old mono block which is almost 20 years old. You can't go wrong with this beast.

Amp makes my jl audio component speakers sound awesome. The city that comes with the amp helps you set the amp correctly. Also very very easy to install somewhere. I have a 2014 Impala the new model sounds awesome in my car.

I just hooked up the following: Rockford Fosgate P3-2X12 1200 Watts Dual Rms Subwoofer Enclosure , Pioneer FHX-720BT 2-DIN Rockford Fosgate Punch P1694 6-Inch x 9-Inch Full Range Coaxial Speakers Rockford Fosgate P400X4 Punch 4-Channel Amplifier Rockford Fosgate P1000X1bd Punch 1-Channel Amplifier Rockford Fosgate P16-S 6-Inch Punch 2-Way Component Systems Everything sounds good. I'm in the breaking-in phase for the subs. Even with the AMP not up, the subs do HIT hard. The BASS has a clear DEEP sound, the MIDS/HIGHS are very clear and crisp sounding. The receiver was a bit confusing to operate, but the instructions were easy to understand, and i NEVER read instructions...EVER! But it was needed for the basic functions. This was a bit pricy, BUT I did do A LOT of shopping around and couldn't find a better price ANYWHERE! I actually saved $100's buying here.

indont know where to start really, it's just a fantastic amplifier, easy to use controls are stellar, it's under rated for sure. The clarity and depth of my speakers is so much better now, even on factory speakers it sounds so much better, truelly a great buy for anyone looking for a serious 4 channel amplifier that's easy to tune by yourself. The foot print is light and the power is big! Get one!

I bought a new car. Times are tough financially, so rather than going the route I had for years and installing a most jammin' sound system right off I tried to piecemeal it. Didn't work. Rather than enjoying my music I just got irritated listening to an inferior sound system. I had an approximately 10 year old JBL amp I had installed with a new pair of JL Audio C5 speakers. Still sucked. Then, I suppose to my good fortune, one of the channels on the JBL would work most of the time but not all of the time. There must have been a short (it was 10 years old +- after all) and the Rockford Fosgate was recommended by a local installer. Bought it at a great deal on Amazon and it made all the difference. I listen to all kinds of music and this system does them all justice. I highly recommend the Rockford Fosgate P400x4 amp. By the way. No knock on JBL. I've had good performance from them in the past. Hard to compare a new amp with one 10 years it's senior. As an older Dude, I can relate.

Awesome deal (CDN 303$), I cannot beleive there was no hidden fee (no canada+quebec taxes, no duty fee). At this price it was a real bargain. The shipping was incredibly fast for only 5$ (about 2 or 3 days). This amp was a fun project to install and it deliver the RF promises.

Excellent sound great power wouldn't hesitate to buy again
