Miele Classic C1 Turbo Team Vacuum for Hard Floors & Low-Med Pile Carpet

When I got this vacuum, I kept telling people how I know I'm almost 30 because this has been my most exciting purchase of the year. I've always struggled with vacuuming because I get a lot of pain from pushing a heavy vacuum or having to stand in a weird position. With this one, it is so easy to use and pull along with you, and with the extending neck I can dust super high up, I'm tall enough where I can use it to get stuff I see on the ceiling (mine are a normal height). The adjustable suction is wonderful, I have cats that sleep in my bed and I can use it to suck up the cat fur every morning with no problem. I can do my entire home with this vacuum in 15-20 minutes, and I'm in no pain afterwards. I've always HATED vacuuming to the point where I was basically cleaning the rugs and everything by hand to remove the fur/crumbs/etc. This is the first time I have had a vacuum I enjoy using.

Yes yes yes! I've been using this daily for a while now, and will NEVER go back to Shark or Dyson. It's incredible in its simplicity. Let's be honest, the whole Shark/Dyson thing is a marketing fad. A solid canister vacuum is, and always has been, the answer. We have two dogs and this machine gets everything. It does not get clogged or lose suction. I don't have to clean out a disgusting plastic dust bin. The dirt and allergens are trapped inside of the canister bag, and as a result, the machine itself stays SPOTLESS. It's quiet, easy to use, and portable. I use my Miele vacuum every single day and it doesn't hesitate to be awesome. The brush head is not powered (the rollers spin using suction only). This initially caused me concern, however I quickly learned that powered brush heads are...you guessed it...MARKETING. They aren't necessary. This non-powered brush head is more powerful than any I've ever used. It pulls the pile up on the carpet and leaves beautiful lines everywhere it goes. For many of our rugs I have to turn the suction down because it's TOO POWERFUL if I don't! My ONLY complaint is the cord length. It's just a touch too short on this model. Not a deal breaker, but if you have a large home, get one of the more expensive models with a longer cord. Frankly, I don't care about the cord. This vacuum doesn't miss a thing. Hearing the crumbs suck up into the hose is immensely satisfying. You know it's done its job because if you take another pass over the same spot, there will be no more crumbs to hear. I've gotten down on my hands and knees to inspect and the carpet is clean! Not only that, but I've watched this machine easily pull up enough dirt to change the color of the carpet back to it's natural state. I'll say this again, I have DOGS. One of them is a Great Dane with giant paws who brings dirt and mud in the house. The other is a terrier that snows white fur when you pet him. They are so messy and my floors are clean because of our Miele vac. Some people are concerned about the bags. They consider them "wasteful" or expensive, perhaps remembering their mothers emptying old bags and reusing them to save money. Here is what I've found with the bags. Buy the AUTHENTIC ones only. They hold a lot of stuff. A plastic bagless vacuum has to be emptied often and the tank gets nasty. On the flip side, the bags are like a trash compactor. You can keep using them for quite a while, and the crumbs and fur and dirt compact inside of it. I vacuum several floors daily, with two dogs, and replace the bag only every 6-8 weeks or so. When you buy a new pack of bags for your Miele, it comes with new filters as well. Because the bag itself IS a filter, you'll find the filters stay pretty clean and rarely need to be replaced. Any potential environmental savings of going "bagless" is made up in the fact that a simple Miele vacuum will continue to work, unbothered, long after you've tossed your 2nd or 3rd Shark vacuum in the trash. Frankly, if you use paper towels or feminine products or toilet paper, you're using a heck of a lot more disposable product than the random, occasional need for a new bag in your canister. Do yourself a favor, get away from the stick vacs and cordless vacs and fussy, hard to clean Shark/Dyson vacuums. Stick with the modern version of an OG favorite. If you want a CLEAN house, bagged canister vacuums are where its at.

I am so happy with this. It's light to drag around. the suction is very powerful. I love the attachments!!! My old Bissell upright was too strong to do bathroom rugs, which was so annoying. this Miele with the small attachment does them so easily - I'm so happy! My only issue is there is no guide telling what each mode means. Which is floor and which is carpet. It came with operating instructions, but I didn't realize til after that there is a guide on the very last page. But very easy to put together. I highly recommend this vacuum.

I have 50% hardwoods, 25% linoleum, and 25% carpet in my house. Been using a Dyson Ball for 4 years. It was not bad. Super easy to transition from hard surface to carpet. But, when I followed up with mopping, I always got really dirty mop water. I assumed that’s why you mop! Lost the Dyson for personal reasons, so had to get a new vacuum. At $299 I thought I would give this thing a shot, but was slightly worried about the carpet performance, and having to switch heads. Neither is an issue. I store whichever head I am not using in the “park” slot. It takes about 8 seconds to swap them. Love how I can turn the suction up or down. That is a feature which will spoil me; don’t think I can go back to NOT having it. Mobility is great, no issues whatsoever. The cord is slightly short, but truly not an issue. If it starts to bug me I will buy a 10 foot extension and keep it coiled on the vacuum. Three whole house cleanings (floors, walls, cabinets... everything) and the bag full indicator is still not showing. I don’t think bags are going to be a concern. More on the turbo carpet head: I was worried that the whole “suction power to make it spin” feature was marketing bull, but it’s not. That thing is awesome. You will tinker with the settings a little as you dial in what level you need for your carpet style, but it works great. The entire learning curve takes about a minute, maybe two. I even had to turn the suction power down slightly, as it will lift the carpet up from the floor at the highest setting! I’m not talking about an area rug - actual installed carpet over padding. PROs: Cost- at $299 this is a bargain Performance- clean mop water! Utility- I can get under my entire couch all the way to the wall (no furniture moving) Quite- I actually wore earplugs with the Dyson (overkill, but it was loud). This thing is super quite in comparison On board storage of tools- means you won’t lose them, or lose time using them Versatility- turning suction up or down on the fly is amazing CONS: Bags- better for cleanliness, but you will need to keep spares Cord- longer is better, but I’m good with it It’s just a vacuum, but I really love this thing. I’m a very firm believer of having the right tool for the job. For me, this is the right tool.

After a couple of Dyson vacs in 10 years that just were poorly constructed and a mediocre filter system that left dust everywhere, I decided to re-visit Miele ownership. Best decision. The price is right for this vacuum. Pros: 1. I can control the pick up power and move easily from rugs, floors and upholstery witht . 2. I can thoroughly dust floor boards and surfaces with the round brush- and get into the carpet stair crevices, window sills and shutters. 3. It's quiet. 4. It's light weight. I can pick this up and carry it around while vacuuming. 5.The bag and filter are great. No flying dust, canisters that won't stay shut. 6. It stores easily- i read that it desn't stand on its end, mine does just like the picture. I dismantle mine due to a shelf in the way in my closet. 7. It picks up really well and that means less passes with the vaccum = less time cleaning. Cons: 1. Yes the cord is short- but being a euro vacuum where there are smaller living quarters- I expected. I can do near all my 700' flat without unplugging with a strategic plug decision. I can do all the stairs & landing and it's a lot of stairs. 2. The tool bar- while some. might not like it, I don't hate it. I do think it would be better as stored, but then it's easy to switch out like this. 3.) Roller brush is a pain to clean. But having to actually use a screw driver to remove- means you won't break the connection. Clean it after each use and it shouldn't be too awful. I vacuum mine to get the roller moving so i can pull out my long hair strands. Another thing I read from other reviewers- the static! Pro tip: rub the plastic hose and the vacuum- all over with a dryer sheet. It works. All in all it's the bees knees and I'm happy I took the plunge to make cleaning easier. This is a darn nice vacuum for the sale price. I did keep my hand vac portion of my dyson for my vehicle, but it is really truly retired after 4 short years of service.

Overall, very happy with this. It's easily the most expensive vacuum we'd ever purchased but our 5 year old shark was starting to lose suction. I only wish the manual explained visually better how the different features workes

I wish I had listened to reviewers before I bought my last vacuum. I finally gave up and purchased this Miele canister vac. OMG what a difference. I hate the idea of having to plug, unplug and drag around a dead dog (that's what we call canister vacs here) but you can't deny the better cleaning ability of this one. And it doesn't weigh much at all! So it's easy to pick up and move if you need to. It follows you around easily. Doesn't get stuck on corners. The turbo carpet head has 2 settings, and oh boy, you better have the right one selected! I started with the highest turbo setting and literally started pulling the carpet off the floor. This is installed carpet I'm taking about! Holy suction! The carpet head is easily maneuverable. It also doesn't weigh much. There's included 3 cleaning nozzles/heads and a wide hardwood/tile floor head too. The 3 cleaning nozzles/heads have a holder that sits just on the hose at the canister. Convenient to have them at hand. The hose swivels as it should while pulling the canister along. This is a great design, there's even a hook and a slot to hold the wand on the underside of the canister when you stand it on it's butt, so it's stored all together. The cord pulls out and retracts easily. I kinda wish it was longer, but then I'd probably be running over it or tripping on it, so it's good at the length it is. Well made, everything works. The bags are easy to remove and replace. There's a flap on the bag so when you pull it out you're not getting a face of dust & dirt. I bought the kit that includes bags and the 2 filters for when replacements are needed. This is definitely worth the cost for an awesome vacuum!

I bought the $375 blue turbo one. So far i'm loving it. I have so much black lab hair speared into every fabric surface and sprinkled all over the floor. This helps. It's true it's best on hard wood floors. I use the carpet attachment on my ruggable and it's hard to use - can't move it back and forth. Creates wrinkles on my ruggable. I've found that using the hard floor attachment on the hard floor setting for carpets works much better. I don't move it back and forth. I move it toward me then lift, like repeat like a squeegee. You'd think you might as well buy the cheaper more basic one, but for me the bristles on the hard floor attachment loosens my dog's stubborn hair. I use the duster attachment on my leather couch and it pics up the grime. Takes getting used to; at first it kind of hurt my wrist (imagine the same with a dyson). Honestly I love it. My mental health has improved. Sweeping is a pain postpartum (i have a big house); the roomba requires a clear floor (often times I can't pick up absolutely everything, eg barbies etc, before I need it to do it's job), the stand up old school vacuum works great on my ruggable but that's about it, and I've heard of the dyson going kaput after two years and $900 later. the mixed reviews on each dyson model are exhausting. I've always wanted a Miele. I'm glad there's an affordable model that cleans well! You'll find it fun to drag this into your living room, vacuum the floor, clean the couch and pillows, and dust (by vacuum attachment) the windowsills. In looking at photos of my children I've noticed a cleaner backdrop -- cleaner floors and arm chairs. EDIT: Just want to reiterate how much I love this thing months later. It just sucks everything up so effectively and efficiently. It's so fast and easy to use. There's a reason why cleaning ladies use these. I love stepping into a room after this has been used. I have a cleaning lady who comes every two weeks (but here the grime builds fast). After using this, it always looks like she just cleaned. I also find it easier to host spontaneously. I tidy fast then vacuum the whole bottom floor and furniture in record speed. Less meltdowns, and my extroverted husband is happy.

My 8 year old Dyson ball vacuum finally quit. It would run for about 3 mins then shut off. I replaced every possible filter on the unit including the 'difficult' one to get at in the ball. When it came time for me to replace the old Dyson, I decided not to get another one. Dyson is expensive, problematic and didn't last as long as my old Sears Kenmore canister vacuum that is now 30 years old and still running. I use the Kenmore to vacuum my car. Anyway, I needed a house vacuum and decided to give this Miele a try. Pros: great suction, light and easy to manoeuvre, works really well on carpets. Cons: the power cord could be another 6 feet longer. I really like this vacuum, now that I've had it for almost a year. Beats my fragile Dyson hands down! Yes, I recommend this vacuum!

Best performing vacume cleaner

Very easy to use and very strong. Much quieter than a lot of other vacuums I have used!

I bought this Miele vacuum to replace a Dyson which had broken. I had heard good things about these lower end Miele C1 vacuums, but was skeptical. However, this little vaccum is far superior to the Dyson I had. The suction is far better and is adjustable via a dial on the back of the vaccuum - which is perfect when you want to switch between vacuuming something delicate like fabric blinds to something that needs some super suction, like and entry rug. The bag takes a reasonable amount of time to fill, despite its small size. A plus for the bags is no more dust flying around trying to empty the bagless Dyson cannister, but it is an additional cost having to re-buy bags. I mainly marked the Miele down a star because of the poor tool storage - the attachments are stored in a cheap little clip on at the base of the hose. Its easy to knock them off.
