Even More Useful Than You Might Think
This review is relates back to my first pair of ThinOptics. They are utterly fantastic! Years ago I wore glasses. Then I opted for laser surgery and needed no glasses for years. Well, time marches on and now I need readers. I've bought lots of them and stashed them in different places to read, to use with my computer, to use with my cell phone, in the car, by my bed etc., etc., etc.. But no matter where I stashed them, I would end up taking them somewhere else and was inevitably hunting for readers. Worst of all, whenever I went out, it was impossible to read restaurant menus or read a receipt to calculate a tip without a pair of readers and the closest pair required a trip back out to my car. Then I happened on a rack displaying ThinOptics in the checkout line at a department store. It said I could store a pair of readers on the back of my phone. So, I bought them as an impulse purchase thinking that even if they were no good, didn't really work, or simply fell apart, they weren't very expensive to begin with and, if they actually did work, ...! In reality they exceeded my every expectation. So much so that I wrote this review (I'm not normally a review writer). I had to get over my initial self-consciousness of putting on these pince-nez style glasses (probably looks a tad geeky), but my self-consciousness passed quickly. I was now always able to read no matter where I was because I nearly always have my phone with me so I nearly always now have reading glasses. The only problem I had with them is that they tended to slide out of the case -- easily fixed with a small piece of scotch tape. After more than a year of hard use, they did finally break on me (the bridge separated), so I ordered just not one pair from Amazon, but two -- out of fear that, if the company ever went out of business, I might never get another pair. Then I noticed they had a lifetime warranty. So, after buying two more pair, I submitted an online warranty claim for my first pair and, no sweat, a replacement pair is on the way. Simple as could be. Don't hesitate to get yourself a pair. You won't regret it.

Fit great
Getting older sucks. And reading small print is becoming difficult. But these are great. Even my husband has a pair. Has a sticky back to attach case to phone. I drop them a lot. They do brake....but after MANY falls....pretty durable.

Very convenient!
Wonderful! They are conveniently always with me.

Comparing to Nooz
I got the Thinoptics in the pod case as a less expensive replacement for a pair of similar Nooz (which I'd bought here on Amazon 3 years ago and recently broke at the nose bridge). Thinoptics has a nose bridge made of a nickel titanium alloy called Nitinol, whereas the Nooz's bridge is a flexible plastic of some sort. I find that Thinoptics doesn't need to grip my nose quite as firmly as Nooz to feel and stay secure there, so Thinoptics are a bit more comfortable. One nose pad had a rough edge, but I filed it off easily with a fingernail file. Thinoptics have good clarity in the center 'sweet spot' but the clarity falls off more than the Nooz when looking off-center. The pod case's storage slot is too slim, especially on the right side where it scrapes against the lens surface when moving it in or out, and I can tell that it would soon scratch the lens; fortunately the Thinoptics fits fine inside my old Nooz case, so I will use that old case instead. I deducted one star for the poor case and the slightly less desirable optical quality when looking off-center. But since it has a lower price than Nooz and a bit less squeeze on the proboscis, I'm mostly satisfied.

Always handy and helpful
Totally happy with these. Although I keep readers all around the house, there are times there aren't any handy, but my phone is always in my pocket so even if I don't need these glasses specifically for my phone screen, I have a pair handy. The case is thin enough so that it doesn't add much bulk to my phone. These are easy to take out of the case and return. The trick to keep them from falling off your nose is placing them just above the nostrils which will help secure them. Of course people have different shaped noses so it may be different for others, but my narrow bridge doesn't offer enough security for them to stay on reliably if placed there. I haven't had trouble with them getting fingerprints because I handle them by the bridge piece. I can't tell you how often I've wanted to read some small print ingredients on a package in a store, or the directions on some weed spray when working in the yard, to name but a few times my old eyes can't do the job alone, and that doesn't even count a fair number of my phone apps. These glasses are the perfect solution for me.

Great idea but materials of construction need work
Great concept and work well in a pinch, but the case that sticks on the phone breaks too easy. Always seem to have pieces of the plastic breaking off. Have to buy a new pair every so often mainly to replace the case.

Best invention if you always forget your readers, but always have your phone - which we all do!
I got tired of trying to read a menu and realizing I had to run to the car to get my readers. I have another pair of Thin Optics, which fold flat and are great, but these are so convenient, and always with you - assuming your phone is always with you. They sit perfectly on the nose, and you can’t even feel that they are there. Also great for reading in bed if you happen to lay on your side so your partner doesn’t get disturbed by the blue light from your phone. Great product and value for the money. Highly recommend!

Just Buy Some Already!
These are so convenient! You’ve always got your phone with you right? Now you can have these lightweight readers (in your needed focal strength) with you wherever you go. They’re protected, clean, and always ready in the thin, lightweight case that you stick to your phone case. Great when you’re grocery shopping and you want to read the teeny-tiny text in the ingredients label. They stay on my nose very well and don’t fall off. I don’t hesitate to give them five stars.

Tutto in tasca!
È un ottimo compromesso fra portabilità e comodità d'uso. L'opzione di "incollarlo" allo smartphone è interessante ai fini dell'ottimizzazione dello spazio occupato in tasca. L'ottica delle lenti è di buona qualità.

Very Practical
It is very practical and useful. I sticked it behind my phone and now always carry it with me.

Hurts to wear these readers
I can’t give less than 1 star so that is why I gave 1 star. The design is poor as the frames hurt the nose as they are not padded and are like hard plastic blades cutting the nose. They also have to sit on the bottom of the nose not on the bridge as they are too narrow so you have to look down you nose to read. Despite sitting on bottom of the nose they atill feel like they are cutting into your nose. Not going to be able to use them as they are sore to wear.
