Perfect for refurbishing wood work. 'gets into tight spaces. Yes, they get worn and require cleanup after use but there are enough items in this package to do most small to medium refinish prep.

I use a lot of these for cleaning automotive electrical connections and lamp sockets. When used hard, they don't last all that long, but that is to be expected, as the wire bristles are very fine and will slowly break. As such, when using these (or any similar type product), be sure to wear an apron and eye protection! A wire in the eye can ruin your whole day! These are a much better deal than the official ones sold by the makers of the rotary tool.

I gave 4 stars because: 1) order arrived on promised day about noon. This was good because I got the rest of the day's use of product. 2) opened box & counted-received exact qty ordered. 3) giving benefit of doubt on quality till I use some. I examined the "T" shaped brushes. Their assembly is inconsistent. On about 10 of 20 it looks like the pieces were poorly aligned before compression & the parts that hold the wires are not parallel. I believe those will come apart most easily. I intend to update review after using some. UPDATE-for my current project, I used primarily the "T" brushes (round & flat, attached to the end of the mandrel). My earlier assessment was accurate-those with poorly-aligned parts spun apart in a shorter time. In all fairness, name-brand brushes lasted only a little longer than those assembled accurately. That makes the value for the money pretty good. After all, these brushes are consumable, like sandpaper. The mix of 3 types was not good for my needs this time. Maybe I'll need the other types later, but I'd have preferred all 1 type. In the end, I'll give 3-1/2 stars which rounds up to 4. OH...YOU MUST MUST MUST WEAR EYE PROTECTION USING THIS PRODUCT UNLESS YOU WANT AN EYE INJURY. I recommend a face shield & long sleeves (2 layers better) unless you enjoy tiny wires sticking in you.

These wire wheels are very cheaply made - I guess that's why they cost $.28/piece. They work fairly well on a 2-speed Dremel rotary tool on LOW speed, but when you go to HIGH speed they fall apart. Literally. I was using these brushes to clean out old lock tite and gasket seal from the threads on M6 and M8 engine casing bolts before reinstalling the bolts. I switched to HIGH speed and I was suddenly being pelted by metal fibers! I had metal fibers stuck all over my shirt, and the wire brush ended up looking like a porcupine that was having a very bad day. Not recommended unless you're only going to use these brushes on LOW speed.

I was excited to receive these since there were 60 pcs for about $20, instead of $5 per wheel for the Dremel brand wheels. My project was removing rust from heavy iron grilling grates. I had already used the only two wire brush heads that came with my original Dremel Tool set, they were enough to almost finish one whole grate (in the first pic) front and back. When I got this set, after less than 10 minutes eight brushes were already worn out (they only lasted a couple minutes each, and one of the brush heads flew out altogether the first moment it made contact with the grate (in the second pic). Additionally (and nearly as frustrating) while I was working with them, I could feel the tiny wires (in the third pic) flying off the brush head and hitting me in the face/neck/body. After I decided to stop because I could tell I was gonna burn through the whole set and not even finish a single grate, it took me about 20 minutes to stand there and pull out dozens and dozens of tiny steel wires from my clothes and skin. And if you don't take them out they stay in your clothes and feel like needles are pricking you throughout the day. Unfortunately this was a terrible product for me. I'm surprised the other reviews are so positive. Maybe if you're only using them for something very light duty, they might work better, but I don't see the point of a "light duty" carbon steel wire brush.

Use these to removed Plaster of Paris from fossilized bones via my Dremel tool - I cast a jacket around the bones and later, when at home, removed part of the plaster exposing the bones. These brushes will remove the plaster but not harm the bones.

Cleaning away Environmental Damage, corrosion & crap is a very important and time consuming process. Previous brushes for the Dremel didn't last very long & were expensive. This pack has good volume, good range & most importantly they last a whole lot longer than any others we have tried.

Much more robust than I expected at this price - a must for many small cleaning/polishing jobs

I used these to clean off the spool of an old fishing reel (spinning reel) The brushes are not too coarse to scratch and do a good job of removing the paint from the Aluminium spool The cone ones were very good at cleaning the area where the drag washers sit. I ran the wheels at about 8000 rpm and did not notice any of the wires coming off. I should mention that I did not exert much pressure and just let the wheel do the work

Great having a supply of rotary tool brushes.
