A frustrating and repetitive mess.
I pre-ordered this book once I stumbled across it. I'm a sucker for wrestling autobiographies and history books. I've read them all, and love reading about WWF/WWE and WCW and how it thrived and died. I grew up during the time of the Monday Night Wars, and while a casual fan of TNA, I was excited to learn more about the history and the happenings of the company.Unfortunately, this book doesn't do it. The author comes across as a total TNA mark, and his hatred for anything Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff is evident throughout the book. 90% of this book is Hogan bashing. In the foreword, it is clear that the author is a TNA fan. In the book, he comes off as a child that wrote this book specifically to complain about the two individuals that broke his favorite toy.In the beginning of the book it was stated that there would be quotes, and much of the booking and matches and storylines would be discussed. However, the author briefly mentions storylines, then glosses over details to instead complain about Hogan and Bischoff and goes on rants about how they are to blame. The quotes from wrestlers and those "in the know" are rare, and almost all are taken from out of context interviews. The book may be very well-researched, but to the reader you would never know it.Don't get me wrong, I've read enough and know about Hogan and Bischoff to know what they are capable of.. I'm sure there is plenty of basis for the author's feelings, but he is not an impartial observers explaining events for his audience to make their own decisions. The majority of this book is about his feelings towards the individuals, and how TNA was doing so great before the two came into the company. The author is totally marked out, and it makes this book extremely frustrating to read. Every chapter is a repetitive bashing of Hogan and Bischoff. It's not a history book of TNA or even a book about the wrestling company.I really wanted to learn about the situations, but this book is just too frustrating to read through. The author's writing is also subpar; it may be the difference in countries (I believe he is from Europe), but many of the sentences run-on and his ideas change mid-paragraph and mid-sentence.Read this if you hate Hogan and Bischoff, but if you're a wrestling fan, wait until someone writes a thorough TNA book.

Other Reviewer Caught Most Of It
As I'm typing this, it's the second review for this book. The first reviewer hit the content pretty well - it's a 160-ish page anti-Hulk Hogan opinion piece. What the first reviewer didn't mention was the writing style. The book is filled with run-on sentences, missing hyphens and commas, and a general lack of coherence. The author rambles and rambles and rambles. I suspect that even a mediocre editor would have cut the length of the book down by at least a third, even as they added the missing punctuation and fixed the glaring grammar problems that haunt this book.It is, quite frankly, one of the worst-written "books" I have ever put on my Kindle.

Great read that never drags
Read this book over the course of 4 days. Informative and watching the product at the time can relate to the points made. Lots of well built chapters that cover in depth the topics without ever dwelling or becoming boring. Like this authors style and will be looking out for more wrestling related titles by him. Great read

Great read! Don't believe the haters!
An interesting informative book by Moore who seems a genuine life long fan of wrestling.I have read this several times and for those complaining about grammar, I prefer the down to earth style of Moore who purposely doesn't use inessential vocabulary making this a great read which can be enjoyed by all.

Pulls no punches! Great read
I'm a little surprised by some of the reviews on here and found the book an enjoyable read. It is clearly an independent that has published the book so a Harry Potter budget is not to be expected, I can forgive a spelling error!Anyway the content, well I find it hard not to enjoy any warts 'n' all accounts of the business and this was no different. As I have read elsewhere Hogan is a self-centered nasty piece of work and this book pulls no punches in backing this up with real examples and statistics.I am not a regular watcher of TNA but am a WWE fan of 25 years and thoroughly enjoyed this account of how NOT to run a wrestling business. it isn't overly sophisticated, but that is what I like about it, simple and to the point. A great book about the inner workings of wrestling from someone who is clearly a passionate and knowledgeable fan.

Good content, appalling lay out
Whilst the content was good and mostly accurate, the style and presentation was poor - I actually laughed out loud when I read the dedication thanking someone for editing, there were numerous grammatical and spelling issues in this which really damaged the book. An interesting read though
