Hermes Terre D' Hermes By Hermes For Men. Parfum Spray 2.5 Oz / 75 Ml (187417)

I mean this quite literary when I say, this cologne has multiple personalities. First, it’s like you are dealing with an alcoholic, then he brings you flowers and finally he cares and makes you the they lemonade. That’s exactly what the three stages of this Hermes are. The initial spray is very strong and smells like alcohol. About half an hour in you will start smelling flowers and fruity aroma. Finally about 2-3 hours later it will remain citrusy until it fades away towards the end of the day. This is an excellent parfum that does not intrude all day and it fades out throughout the day, which is something I prefer. It is a mature cologne for mature men. Definitely not for teenagers and young people. If you’re rocking your suit or if you are in your late 20s or early 30s or 40s this is definitely something that you should have in your collection. The colognes in the picture are the competing ones that I’ve tried with this and this Hermes wins as top pick. Those are my top 3, left to right. Club de Nuit Intense Man by Armaf (not in the picture) for the money is an amazing substitute for this Hermes for 40% of the price, that has the citrusy elements. Unfortunately it does not fade away and is really in your face all day. I took showers and clean my wrist properly and the scent would not go away. While the value proposition is amazing, it is just not my cup of tea to have a non-fading cologne/parfum on all day. That is where Hermes wins for me. Paco’s Victory is my second pick. It combines the elements of Versace Dylan blue and Club the Nuit. Very sweet and very “young”. If the Hermes is Autumn, Victory is middle of summer as you walk a garden full of peach trees. Victory is the opposite of Hermes. No spice, just sweetness. Compared the the Versace, this parfum from Hermes is in a different league and category. Dylan blue is a one night stand - going to the bar - kind a cologne. The Hermes is I have an expensive suit on me and a Lexus parked outside kind-of fragrance. Overall, I think Hermes is a king. Sure, he has multiple personalities and it will take you though a journey, but it never uses it’s characteristics of maturity. Paco’s Victory does the same, except for youth and occasion wear - that’s why it ended up as my number #2 and this Hermes took the first spot. Thanks for the ready 😀

I love this perfume. Not the best but citrusy , fresh smell

As a serious cologne fan I've tried several scents over the years. I usually opt for a musk-dominant EDT over the highly floral scents. I've grown tired of the relative short-acting EDTs, but stay within the highly musk-oriented category. Well, no longer. I researched the Terre D'Hermes quite a lot. I found the Amazon reviews to be very helpful, especially those that recommended the Eau de PARFUM over the EDT. And they were right. A couple spritzes of this parfum lasted nearly all damn day. And this scent is very distinct from others I've used. Ladies... Love... It. It's like getting them to ask, "so, what's the name of your puppy?" I dose myself after the a.m. shower (it only takes a couple sprays), even if I am staying in for the day or just heading to Starbuck's for some reading. I catch scents of the Terre D'Hermes throughout the day and it makes me not only feel clean, but lifts my mood. The EDP will run ~30-40% more in cost, but it's a wash when you consider the fewer #of sprays typically needed throughout the day. And the stronger scent that lingers about you will engender the inevitable question, "what kind of Cologne are you wearing?" I just say, "Aqua Velva" - I don't want the competition to know what cologne I'm sportin'. I'm an enigma... for about $100 for a 2.5oz bottle. You just CAN'T go wrong with Terre D'Hermes! The bottle seems legit, it was sealed and the bottle size was as advertised. I love the classy smell it has, but I find it a little bit off from when I purchased it at the store, but I’m no perfume maker. I would say it’s a little on the expensive side, but the sillage is quite unique!

This is my favorite woods-y type scent. I've bought a bottle of the parfum spray in stores, and I want to say I paid the retail price of $115-$120 for the bottle. This is the price point, especially in dealing with a pure parfum, that I get nervous about buying fragrances online, because of the fear that you'll get a defective or watered-down product. Because of this, I bought a bottle while I still had some left of my original bottle, to do a comparison. My results: It was the same thing. the scent, sillage and longevity were identical, and the price point was a lot less than what I paid for in retail. I certainly would have paid the retail price for this, but I decided on taking that chance of buying it through Amazon; especially when I've had issues with products in the past, Amazon has treated me well. I recommend this fragrance, and it's one that I like to wear occasionally. In my specific case, I got the exact product I ordered, and it wasn't something watered down or phony.

If I could leave less than 1 star I would . Smells like.Pinesol house cleaner . I am 60 year old man who was looking for something I could wear at the office . This smells just like floor cleaner . I am not joking . Shame on Amazon and the company who sold this crap .keep my money and leave the review so no one else buys this crap. Thank you . Brian
