PIONEER TS-X200 4" 3-Way Surface Mount Car Speakers 100W Max

Excellent sounding speakers, and easy to install even when not mounting on the rear deck. These speakers sound great, even running on a cheap stereo. They are designed to be mounted on the rear window deck, but I actually got them for another application and it turns out they mount easy in the upside-down position. It should also be noted that the mounting stud for these speakers is a m6 thread, because it comes with studs and a wing nut to mount them with. (Most people probably will want a bolt rather than a wing nut securing them.) But highly recommend these speakers for their sound quality compared to their size.

As others have stated not significant bass but very good mid-range and crisp high’s. Are there better high end speakers out there? Sure, but balancing cost vs value these speakers can’t be beat. Bottom line - the quality of the build is excellent and you should be more than satisfied with the sound for the price!

Excellent product for my purchase price. Outstanding I first installed two in my 89 k1500 attached to ceiling. Vision headrest only higher. Not bad sound. Just remember in my day one could install “Mind Blower “ speakers with built-in amp and boom!! no idea where that brand disappeared too. However; just received my second pair of TS-X200 and installed under dash area facing passengers. Created instant depth and surround sound. Excellent!! I'm a carpenter by trade so ingenuity and know how was helpful with this install. 30 inch black zip ties help a lot. For a pickup truck and not 2 grand spent on professional profit. These 4 speakers have nailed it. Under seat sub woofers are next Zip ties and thought. Thanks Pioneer!!

Bought these for my 1992 Miata to add a little more sound. I wired them with quick disconnects and Velcro to make them removable if need be. I can now hear my music on the freeway, they do get quite loud paired with my Power Acoustik CP91w. Audio quality isn’t superb, not a lot of bass, but they’re in a 32 year old convertible so I’m not exactly looking for studio quality sound. I would recommend these to anyone looking for a simple way to add some more volume to their older car.

I have these speakers in a few different vehicles. I placed one set on my motorhome to replace to cheap 4X10 speaker that came in a $350,000.00 + motorhome! They sound great. The other application is in an open-air Mexican taxi that I have in Mexico. I wanted something that was easy to install and would work outdoors. They sound great and I have them paired with 2 6" three-way speakers and a 10" sub. Need to have a loud system in Mexico. I would recommend these as accessory speakers, but not the main speakers in a high-powered system.

So I bought some less expensive speakers for a classic car that I rarely use and installed them along with a brand new stereo system. I spent less than $40 on the less expensive speakers thinking that I really don't use the car very often so I didn't need to spend the money to buy the pioneers. After installing the entire system and hearing the sound that came out of these speakers I was horrified. I immediately turned back to the reviews I saw on these Pioneer speakers and thought okay I wasted my money on the first pair send them back and buy something better. Wow what a difference there is no comparison. The new speakers deliver a full rich sound that is what I was looking for to begin with. Don't waste your time or money looking at other speakers just buy these so the money they can't be beat!!!

No bass (not surprising), but decent midrange and highs. Mounting them in a pain if you aren't putting them on the back deck of a sedan, though. I wanted them for the hatchback of an SUV, and they're very difficult to mount. I also tried to bungee them down, but the casing is curved so it's very difficult to keep bunges from sliding off. Ended up using mini cargo nets to hold them down... speaker wire is also WAY too thin, and you can't upgrade because there are no wire-clips on the back of these speakers, the wire goes into a hole in the back and is permanent.

Installing these speakers was one of the most pleasant and relaxing car-audio experiences I've ever had. The mounting hardware anticipates a few different applications, one of which — installing the speakers on top of the empty holes left behind by stock units — was precisely what I wanted to do. The whole job took less than 10 minutes. The TS-X200s look great on the rear deck of my son's 1990 Jetta, as though they were meant to be there. Sonically they are very clean, with shimmering treble and well-defined mids. The bass response is what you'd expect from a four-inch woofer, so if you want some thump you'll have to add a sub. Overall, a great purchase.

This is a very nice sounding speaker. I recommend this speakers for any car classic job.
