GEFU Rotary Grater TRANSFORMA 3 Drums

We have purchased two lesser expensive plastic drum shredders over the past 2 years. We love to cook and enjoy our kitchech, but the plastic ones broke where the base and tumbler come together. Time for something more of a kitchen investment, and found the GEFU. Overall it's built very well, it's sturdy, and I know it will last us for years and not break. That said, I am glad that it comes with a counter top clamp, as the suction part of the base does not hold for long. I even tried to wet the bottom to help it seal and it still came loose. It's not a game-breaker by any means, but when you spend $100 for the same kitchen tool, I expect it to hold as good, if not better, than the $20-30 knock-offs which never had an issue sticking to our quartz counter top. That aside, if you spend time in your kitchen, spend the money on this and be done.

Does NOT apply to this product!I have tried several of the $20-30 rotary graters and they were all wortheless, mostly because of the poor/weak design of the handle which often came out of its slow. The cutting heads were almost always dull.I basically gave up on this type of kitchen gadget, but I took a chance and spent three times much on this grater and it is amazing. The handle has a very strong, geared screw-in design and in fact there is no way it can come off. The suction is extremely strong, the blades are very sharp and it cuts very fast and very precisely. It takes just a couple of minutes to clean up. Changing the cutting drums is extremely easy.So if you are looking for this type of device, just spring for the money and you will not be disappointed.

This works great. I've only used it with hard Parmesan and it grates with such ease. I hope it holds up for the price I paid, but so far it's been worth it.

Works good feels more substantial tha ones we had in the past. I wish they made a full metal machine with closer tolerances.works well.

While the resulting grind for fresh parmigiano is not quite as fine as we would prefer, the machine itself is a pleasure to use for many other purposes as well. Given its sturdy and simple construction, one can safely predict years of trouble-free service.

This was a perfect present or my husband who is a chef. He loves the ease of use, easy to clean and the suction is fantastic.

Just what I needed!

It took me about a month to realize my cheese grater is a meat grinder. I thought I was just crazy, but I guess I'm just an idiot. F.Y.I. the meat grinder is terrible at grating cheese.

Diese Handreibe funktioniert einfach toll. Die Trommeln sind sehr scharf, daher kann man mit wenig Kraftaufwand sogar Schokolade und harte Nüsse problemlos reiben. Dank der kräftigen Saugplatte steht die Reibe auf der Arbeitsfläche sehr stabil und wackelt beim Reiben nicht. Das Gerät lässt sich ganz leicht zerlegen. Ein weiterer Vorteil ist die Handlichkeit. Die Reibe ist leicht, der Trommeltausch sehr einfach. Der Kunststoff, aus dem die Reibe hergestellt ist, ist sehr glatt. Daher haftet das geriebene Gut kaum an. Die Reinigung geht auch per Hand sehr rasch. Über die Haltbarkeit kann ich kein Urteil abgeben, da ich die Reibe erst gekauft habe.

Alltid nöjd med Gefu. Maler ost fungerar perfekt.

Questa grattugia è funzionale e robusta. Costa più delle altre ma la differenza è notevole.

Je cherchais une râpe à légumes et fromage électrique qui m'évite de souffrir et me coincer les doigts sur mon vieux mouli-gratter des années 60.En faisant mes recherches j'ai vu apparaitre cette râpe GEFU manuelle dans les suggestions et j'ai eu l'attention attirée car elle était bien mieux notée que l'appareil électrique que je m'apprêtais à commander. Comme les commentaires étaient unanimes à louer les qualités de cette petite machine manuelle toute simple, mais pas donnée, je l'ai finalement commandée.Après plus de trois mois d'utilisation quotidienne voici mes impressions :- au déballage la râpe m'a parue de plus grande taille que je ne l'avais imaginé en regardant les photos- la conception est robuste, les matériaux, plastique et inox, sont de haute qualité- la fixation sur la table est très efficace, que ce soit le système de pince ou de ventouse- la grande manivelle permet de râper en un tournemain des quantités de légumes (dans mon cas essentiellement carottes et choux rouges) ou de fromage (gruyère, parmesan) sans forcer ni se fatiguer.- le nettoyage est incroyablement facile : un simple passage sous le robinet suffit généralement, il est rare que j'ai besoin d'utiliser la brosse à vaisselle. C'est l'appareil ménager le plus facile à nettoyer que j'ai eu.- le démontage/remontage est également très simple et ne demande aucune force- avantages des appareils manuels : pas de fil à ranger ni de prise à brancher, ni de bruit de moteur !Notre râpe est sollicitée pratiquement pour chaque repas. Cela va jusqu'à couper les pommes de terre en lamelles pour faire du gratin dauphinois ou même des chips, ce que je faisais précédemment sur une grande mandoline, exercice dangereux que j'ai totalement abandonné, ainsi que mes gants anti-coupure.Après trois mois d'utilisation quotidienne je recommande vivement cet appareil, il est certes plus cher que beaucoup de modèles électriques, mais je ne m'avance pas beaucoup en disant que vous ne le regretterez pas.

Arrived in excellent condition and it is a breeze to use. Very well made and shreds a 400g bar of soap in about 2 minutes. I am very pleased I made this purchase. Great price too
