Let me start by saying that my 4 year old daughter ADORES this dress and wants to wear it every day forever until the end of time. It's cleverly shaped to mostly cover her feet with flipper-ish fabric while mostly not tripping her. So far so good.After she'd worn the dress for a week straight, I figured I should wash it. I couldn't find any washing instruction tags, but it does look like something that should be handled gently. Those fun sequin-y things aren't sewn on, just glued. So I packed the dress, inside-out, into a lingerie bag for a trip through the washing machine.Oh my lord! When I turned the dress right side out to hang on the drying rack at least 50 of the shiny sequin-y circles fell onto the floor. I swept them up, only to find that another 20 fell off while the dress dried. Lord knows what'll happen when she actually WEARS the thing again.Please for the love of god hand-wash this dress gently in a basin with NO agitation. I can only hope that's the best strategy.I'm still giving 4 stars because my daughter loves this dress SO. DAMN. MUCH. But I wish washing instructions had been better communicated. Better yet, I wish the sequins had been sewn on!

My daughter asked to be a mermaid this year and all of the costumes I found were character based or didn't have long sleeves. I'm so happy I found this costume. We both LOVE it. She is a small 3 year old who normally wears a size 2T. I ordered the smallest size available 3T and it fits perfect! Couldn't be happier.

My 3 year old is petite at 31 lbs and 38.5 inches tall. She normally wears a 3t and sometimes a 4t. This fits her very well. The bottom of the dress touches the ground just barely. She loves it and can't wait until Halloween. The only thing I wasn't completely happy with is the sleeves are half sleeves. I thought they would be full sleeves. That's the only down side.

When I let my 2 year old pick this out for Halloween, I was really skeptical and worried. It arrived today - SO IN LOVE!! This is an absolutely adorable costume for an excellent price. Doesn't feel cheap, arrived quickly, and fit perfect. She is around a 2-3T and I bought the 4T so she could wear clothes underneath if it gets chilly. It is a little long but manageable enough for her to handle. She loves it and so do I...so happy I went through with this!

I love this little costume dress and my 4 year old loves it even more. She wears it constantly. A word of advice is, if your child wears this like mine does, it will get filthy and need a good washing. DO NOT PUT IT IN THE DRYER. I'm sure there is a warning on the dress somewhere that states that, but I'm that person who acts then thinks about it after the fact. It will basically destroy the dress and removes essentially every single sequin. I just bought this again and will now know that to keep it 'healthy' it will not be placed in the dryer.

I give this a high rating because it is so cute and my 3 yo is obsessed and won’t wear anything else! I only give it 4 stars though because the sequins seems to be glued on somewhat cheaply and keeps falling off. So quality is ok. Not terrible, not amazing. But I wasn’t going to go out and buy the $40 Ariel dress at the Disney store. So it does what it is intended for. I do wish the sequins didn’t fall off easily and it’s getting annoying to clean up. We’ve only had this for 3 days, FYI. I doubt this will last even a year of regular dress up use.

We went with mermaid theme this year for my daughters 4th birthday and she and everyone else loved this little piece. My daughter is super picky when it comes to wearing dress up type things claiming everything is itchy but she did not with this. Super cute and not cheaply made, great for price!

After reading reviews, I ordered an age 10 for my 8 year old Daughter. My Daughter is of average height but the outfit came up very short! After a bit of stretching of the tail fins, it was fine. Also, the sleeves didn't look very nice (very thick material. Not sheer like I thought) so i ended up customizing and cutting them off. Looks so much better! All in all, Daughter is now pleased with it and is looking forward to wearing it to her friends party.

Gorgeous! I got size age 5 for a 3 year old - she's very average UK size - fits nicely. I'm guessing this is made in China so maybe little Chinese girls are tiny- the outfit is lovely though!

Absolutely gorgeous. My daughter is a very petite 3-year-old and size was perfect (though still slightly too long, and slightly big in sleeves.) Love it. Thank you.
