Best taste, good packaging
This is a composite review of three monk fruit products.Amazon.com : It's Just - 100% Monkfruit Extract Powder, Keto Friendly Sweetener, Monk Fruit, Sugar-Free, Non-GMO, 25% Mogrosides, Non-Glycemic, 1.5oz : Grocery & Gourmet FoodI have purchased this product 12 times since 2020. I was looking for a low/no glycemic sweetener that also was not harsh on the gut biome. Only pure monk fruit and stevia seem to fit those requirements. Many of the monk fruit and stevia sweeteners available in stores are mixed with erythritol, which can have a negative effect on the beneficial bacteria in one’s gut. I did also try the drops, but the package and dispensing was just not user friendly. Also required a lot of drops to taste any sweetness. This powder does take some getting used to using. I really only use it to sweeten my brewed cacao drink. It mixes better in warm or hot liquids. I usually let it sit and brew in the french press with the ground cacao.I dislike the packaging. The zippered bag is never zipped properly therefore not sealing the powder below the tear off point, so when you open it the first time there is sticky powder that goes everywhere. I also dislike leaving it in the original packaging because it’s a pain and a mess to deal with. I now transfer this into a dark tinted wide mouth half pint jar. I also think the little measuring spoon sent in the package is an annoyance and a waste. This would be better off in a container like the Clabber Girl baking powder.Appearance is fine, pure white powder.Overall, 4.5 stars for the product itself. 2.5 stars for packaging. This is currently priced at $15.30 per oz—-----------Amazon.com: NOW Foods, Certified Organic Monk Fruit Extract Powder, Zero Calorie Sweetener, Large Bottle for Serving Scoop, Certified Non-GMO, 0.7-Ounce : Grocery & Gourmet FoodI decided to give this product a try. Just the listing alone gave me hope that the packaging would be friendlier. The container is almost exactly the same as what you would find in the herbs and spice aisle at a grocery store. Flip top cap with a pour and a sprinkle option. I disliked that my measuring spoons were a little awkward getting in and out. I would like a shorter container with a wider lid, or a bigger size all together. This would almost be worth carrying in your purse if you wanted to have a monk fruit sweetener with you.Taste was excellent. To my palette it was twice as sweet as the “It’s Just” product, so less goes further.Appearance is fine, pure white powder.5 stars for the product. 3.5 stars for the packagingThis is currently priced at $29.71 per oz, so value is roughly equal to the “It’s Just” brand—--------Amazon.com: Smart Monk - 100% Monkfruit Extract, Non-Glycemic, Zero Calorie, Sugar-Free Monk Fruit Sweetener (3oz / 85g) : Grocery & Gourmet FoodPackaging for the win! This is the perfect leave at home on the counter or in the pantry package. No spills in shipment, and no difficulty getting to the monk fruit powder. Container is a tub with a screw cap, 3.5” in diameter, 2.75” tall.Taste is definitely not as good as either of the other products. It is about as sweet as the “It’s Just” monk fruit, but it has a bit of an aftertaste. I will finish the container, but I will not buy it again.Appearance is fine, yellowish powder.2.5 stars for the product. 5 stars for the packaging. This is currently priced at $13.71 per oz. Natural Sweetener
I’ve bought this particular brand of artificial sweeteners three times so far, and I’m really pleased with it. It’s made from pure monk fruit extract, with no added erythritol or other fillers. Because it’s purely monk fruit, it’s incredibly potent—about 100 to 200 times sweeter than regular sugar. The package is small, only 0.7oz (20g). Since the sweetener is so concentrated, I find it tricky to measure with my food scale, as the smallest increment it can measure is 1g. To make it easier to use, I dilute the monk fruit extract by mixing it with 600g of water, creating a simple syrup. Once it’s diluted, the taste is remarkably close to that of natural sugar—sweet, smooth, and not artificial in any way. For my coffee, I typically use around 5g of the syrup per cup, which gives just the right amount of sweetness without overpowering the flavor of the coffee.

Great product
I’ve bought this product repeatedly over the last couple of years. I like that it doesn’t drive blood sugar and tastes great as an alternative to sugar in my coffee. I’ve looked at other brands of monk fruit that are cheaper but the reviews seem to be consistent in that they the product varies greatly in color and taste with each purchase. I’ve never had this happen with this product. When you look at the price it seems expensive and compared to cheap sugar, it is, however, the serving size is very tiny so it lasts a long time. I will continue with this product based on my past experiences

Pure monk fruit extract!
It's hard to find pure monk fruit extract powder (it's almost always part of an erythritol or similar blend), so I figured I'd try this when I came across it from a trusted brand. It's about what I expected: very sweet and concentrated. There is a small scoop included (maybe 1/32 tsp? or 48 mg by weight, according to the label), though no information about sweetness relative to table sugar. But here here on the product page, a comparison table says "150-200 times sweeter," which means you'd expect about 4.7 to 6.3 tsp from that scoop. I'm thinking it's more like 2 tsp max for me, and even that might be overestimating (and it's possible I'm overestimating the scoop size), but either way, a little goes a long way.It can be a bit difficult to use: the scoop is tiny, the product is light and powdery, and it clumps easily if added to liquid directly (better to mix with other dry ingredients first if you can). This is probably why it's normally found blended--much easier to use! But this is what I wanted for my use. One of those uses is actually making my own erythritol/stevia/monk fruit blend, which this is perfect for (and much easier to use). You might need a centigram scale for this unless you make particularly large batches; I'm going by 0.048 g/scoop like the label says and a "2 tsp equivalent" ratio so far, though I may adjust that as I get used to the product more. [EDIT: Thinking more like 1-1.5 tsp now. Being a natural product, I suppose this could also vary by batch.]I also see a lot of reviews saying their bottles weren't full. This is normal; the description says the product is sold by weight (0.7 oz.) and not volume and that the bottle is oversized to accommodate the scoop. Mine was about half full, FWIW, but I do have to say that the ones where it's only about a quarter full at most look suspicious--but it's possible it could have settled/compacted during shipping, and you'd have to measure the contents (by weight) to see for sure, which I didn't see anyone having done.

Good safe product but kind of expensive
This is a good safe sugar replacement and it is very potent so, unlike some other sugar replacements, you don't have to put in a whole lot to get a sweet taste. My only issues are that it sometimes does not dissolve well in hot coffee and stays in small clumps and the taste is not as good as sucralose but certainly for those of us who like sweet coffe and tea it is better than using tons of sugar.
