Does it display the entire moon? Can you see the back, top and bottom? Is the moon flat inside the ball?

The moon image is spherical, 3-dimensional, within the solid clear, outer sphere. You can view the front, bottom and sides of the moon -- the back of the moon is without any surface image, because human beings have never viewed the backside of the moon -- it is never visible to the earth, and always dark. This is a beautiful, and beautifully-lighted object, with many different color choices (including self-changing) and light levels possible via a little push-button on the front of the base. Pictures don't do it justice -- it is stunning, especially when illuminated in a darkened space.

Got my product, however it is a galaxy and that isn't even shown as an option. How do I return, since I don't want to receive the same thing?

Can you use batteries in this globe, and if so, what size?

I don't believe this specific stand uses batteries BUT there are multiple stands you can separately purchase that use batteries, USB port or 110 AC cord. This model is in my guest room plugged into the wall as a nightlight for visitors but my Milky Way Globe on my bookcase uses AA batteries and the cost is very low. If you go back to the Moon Crystal Ball there should be various offers of stands in the "customers who bought this item also bought...." area.

Does it have a controller ?

The little button on the front controls the colors. It’s cool.
