Brilliant value, sufficient for winter munros in the winter
Plus points- very cheap, and fitted my flexible soled size 10 boots very well (they’re summer boots, really). Minus point- the front teeth are a bit wee (see photo- with example of ‘proper’ winter boots and crampons for comparison). Conclusion: these aren’t a lot of use for ice-climbing, but they’re perfectly sufficient for what I intend to use them for- winter hillwalking in Scotland, covering a lot of miles without rigid soles wrecking my ageing feet. Lack of toe grip will make ascending very steep icy slopes more awkward, but not impossible, and not unsafe (just have to plant feet carefully and use the edges a bit more). I think they’ll be good enough as extra brakes (in addition to my ice axe) for sliding back down on my bum. Caveat to all that: I haven’t given them a full hill test yet.. I’ll go back and amend this review if I’ve got that lot wrong. ‘Mon the snow!! UPDATE: Tested them out on the first winter snows- turned out far better than I’d expected! Great grip on sheet ice and crusted snow. Easy enough using edges ascending steeper slopes. Seem tough enough too: No damage despite 6 hours rough use. So good enough for all but ‘proper’ ice-climbing, I reckon. And it was a gorgeous day, so I’m sticking in a spurious photo (in case anyone reading this doesnae know what a hill looks like) 🏔

Good kit but a little small for large boots.
Seems to be of good construction for the price but the size guide is a bit off. I take a 47 boot and that seemed both too long and too wide to fit in the space given correctly. I'd say it would fit anything up to a 45 well, possibly 46s depending the shape of the boot. 4* because I'd definitely be happy with it if my feet were more normal proportions.

Great value for money
Brilliant for what they are used for! Swiss 🇨🇭 Alps absolutely loved them and did a good job 👍🏼

Good, solid spikes, would recommend
I bought 2 pairs of these as a last minute purchase for a trip to Poland's Tatra mountains. Having read the reviews I was a little apprehensive about the robustness of the size adjustment screw, but I shouldn't have worried. We just did them up nice and tight and they worked a treat over rock, ice and snow. We even lost one of the spring washers and it didn't matter. My set just fitted my bendy size UK 11s - on the last adjustment position - and never once came loose or out of position on the boot. 2 days of 5-6 hours hiking with no bother whatsoever, these were a top purchase! Would recommend. Time will tell over multiple trips of course, but as an emergency purchase these were spot on.

Very good crampons
I bought the crampons for grip while metal detecting in the river .I am very pleased with them and now have very good grip on the slippery rocks and mud. When you bolt them together use some thread lock on the Allen key screw .I have used them now every weekend for over over a month and the screw hasn't come loose ,I will definitely buy them again when I need a new pair,

Poor design and over priced
I bought this item about a year ago and New Year’s Day was the first time I needed to use them. We walked Helvellyn Via Swirral Edge and then Striding Edge. They proved to be vital in the Icy Conditions and Swirral Edge was like glass. The surety in every step these provided was brilliant. They are a ball ache setting up and getting on but for that assured step on ice they are well worth it. So on we went up Swirral Edge over Helvellyn and down onto Striding Edge. After climbing onto striding edge my left foot crampon had broken. The nut to tighten had disappeared and the front section had separated from the back. I had to complete the remainder with one crampon on my right foot. These are not worth the price and I would recommend the cheaper over the boot crampons over these. Poor design and over priced.

For small boots only
Not bad for the price but are not suitable for large / wide boots. I am a wide size Mens 13 / 48. It says on the description that they fit size 48 in which I can confirm it does not. These will suit boot size 10 & under. The rear heel is extremely narrow which are clearly evident in the attached photos. Yes. Disappointing to say the least as I have been looking for crampons in my size for some tie now. Also they do not come with an Allan Key as stated in the product description.

Buon compromesso
