It’s crazy how much this filter picks up! I keep the air purifier in my son’s room with this filter and it picks up a lot!

I bought this unit and an extra filter December 8, 2021. It works fantastic! I love how easy it is to change the filter. It's nice looking. It's super quiet and seems to do a very good job. It even lets you know when to change the filter! However, It's January 31, 2022 and one downside is, I am a heavy smoker and the filter is just black and it stinks to high heaven! So I got a month and a half out of the filter. The other downside is the filters are a little pricy. Even though the change filter light is not on on my unit, the odor tells me it's ready to be changed. I realize the 6 month filter change they advertise was probably for non-smokers. But I still love it! Worth every penny! I will always have an extra filter on hand. I clean the Hepa filters on my vacuums (they say not to) and they still work good as new as far as I can tell, so I'm gonna try to clean this filter before I toss it. Who knows? I might get an extra month out of it! Funny thing though...when I checked the filter just now I thought...is it supposed to be brown/black? Apparently not! LOL But yes, I highly recommend it! Just might have to change out the filters more often if you're a smoker.

First of all, love my GermGuardian air cleaner! Works well, relatively quiet, bonus UV light. This is the OEM replacement filter which is exactly the filter that came with the unit and was around $20 when I purchased it. Compared to most other "name brand" models of air purifiers, that's really inexpensive. Great value in this unit. There is both a HEPA and charcoal foam filter. Pop out the old one and pop in the new one. Super easy! Improved air quality and some nice white noise for when you go to sleep, lol.

Pero lo que más me vuela la cabeza es hacer la prueba en vivo: si te acercas físicamente a la rejilla de salida del equipo y respiras hondo, literalmente se siente como si fuera aire virgen. Es una sensación de frescura tan limpia, tan cristalina, que te da la tranquilidad absoluta de que el equipo está haciendo su trabajo al 100%. No se siente ese olor artificial de los aromatizantes, sino la pura ausencia de contaminantes; aire limpio de verdad, como de alta montaña. El funcionamiento del equipo con este filtro original es una maravilla. El filtro HEPA atrapa todo el polvo y el humo, pero el verdadero tiro de gracia lo da la tecnología de luz UV-C del equipo. Esta luz destruye por completo los microbios, virus, bacterias y esporas de moho que flotan en el ambiente, desintegrando también los terribles ácaros que tanto activan las alergias. Es un alivio total saber que lo que entra al filtro no solo se queda atrapado, sino que la luz UV extermina cualquier amenaza invisible. El flujo de aire es constante, potente y no fuerza para nada el motor del purificador (algo que sí pasa con los filtros genéricos baratos). Al final del día, la salud de mi hijo y de mi familia no tiene precio. No vale la pena arriesgarse con imitaciones cuando se trata de la respiración de un niño. Este filtro, combinado con el poder desinfectante de la luz UV, es un escudo total contra las alergias, los gérmenes y el humo. We use it next to the cat litter box and it gets dusty fast! I don't recommend it. The filter will crumble and fall apart (i've tried!). What I normally do is get a disinfectant wipe and wipe the filters down. I have cats too and mine is also relatively close to the liter box. How often do I change filter? Depending on your use (how often you turn your filter on). Mine is around 8 months. Do we only need this filter? it has the black and white part? or do we need to buy another one? You only need the filter. it comes with both parts and you do not need to buy anything else. Make sure that the filter is the right model for your purifier. Overall I wish that I didn't have to replace my filter every 6-8 months, but it's worth it in the end to get some clean air. Make sure you get this on SALE. The pricing does fluctuate. I have purchased this specific filter for years on Amazon. I try to keep one extra filter on hand because we have two air filter machines in my house. When I opened up the box yesterday with the air filter in it, I noticed that the filter was so thin! It wasn’t even half the thickness that it usually is. I don’t know if this is the new way the company is making these filters or if it was just this filter. I feel ripped off. Please be careful when buying this item just in case they are now making the black part of the filter this thin. I do not expect it to work that long at all. Unfortunately, my 30 days are up and I cannot return this filter. UPDATE-I contacted this business. They were very kind and professional. They replaced my filter with no problem at all. I will still continue getting these filters because they work very well. I thank them for their quick response. I have upgraded the review from 1 star to a 5 star.

These filters last a while. Even in my cat room with all the cat litter being kicked up. I’ve been using these filters for years.

Great price, awesome quality, easy to install. Needed a replacement for my GermGuardian HEPA Air purifier and went to the source, can't go wrong with this high quality replacement product. You can see the cleanliness and definitely smell the difference where it is used, from seeing the layers of debris, dirt, dust and allergens removed from the air on the filter. I used in my bedroom less dusty, looks clearer and less things flying in the air, the air quality also smells cleaner. Highly recommended this product.

This arrived promptly from Amazon, and it's quick and easy to change filters. The new filter fits perfectly, and functions well. I recommend all GermGuardian products. I love the air filter that this new Filter B goes into, which I bought from Amazon.ca also. Besides the obvious benefits of clean air without allergens and less pollutants, the house is less dusty, saving me housework. The one time I needed customer service, they were fantastic down there at GermGuardian. Works well for me.
