Solid, quality fan
I've had this fan for a couple months now and I'm very pleased with it. I didn't want to just get a cheap plastic fan (I've had plenty of those). So I spent a little more money and so far am happy I did. Hopefully this fan will last a few years, making it a solid investment. It is all metal, with metal blades. This fan does have the capacity to be mounted on the wall, but I have not done that so I can't review that aspect of the product. I just have my fan on the floor and that's good enough for me. I have a room in my home that was not getting cool enough this summer. The central A/C vent in that room blows out cool air, but it's just not enough to accommodate the size of the room. So I purchased this fan to see if it would help. I placed the fan on the opposite end of the room from where the A/C vent is, so that the fan is blowing toward the A/C vent. It works wonderfully. This is a powerful fan and has tremendous velocity at the lowest setting (it has low-med-high settings). I usually just run it on low and it keeps my room cool. There were a few days when it was hotter and more humid outside, and the room just wasn't getting cool enough for me, so I turned the fan up on high and that did the trick. Because this is a heavy-duty, high-velocity fan, I suppose it is a bit loud even on the lowest setting. But I'm one of those people who likes the sound of a fan so it's hard for me to comment on this aspect. It is noticeably louder if you increase the setting. I suppose some people might think that the high setting sounds a bit like a jet engine. But again, I'm just trying to be as objective as I can since the noise this fan produces doesn't bother me one bit, even on high. For me, the sound of this fan is very relaxing. In its defense, it is a very smooth sound. There is no annoying rattling or vibrating or anything like that - those type of noises DO bother me. This is just a nice, smooth fan sound that happens to be loud because it is pushing the air so forcefully. Some people might find this helpful if they want to block out outside noises, particularly if they work at night and have to try to sleep during the day. If you are one of those people, this is an excellent fan to serve your purpose. There are rubber feet on the bottom which help prevent vibration-type noise, and also helps keep the fan from sliding around - although it is so solid that it probably wouldn't slide anyway, except possibly on the highest setting. This fan is quite a bit heavier than a plastic fan, but I see that as a good thing. That's what I wanted - a solid, sturdy fan as opposed to a lightweight, flimsy plastic thing. You don't have to worry about accidentally tipping it over. I recommend this this product. It is MUCH more powerful than a cheap, plastic fan. Very solid, all-metal construction. High velocity pushes much more air and does a much better job of cooling a room.

This fan is a BEAST!
Bought two of these back in 2017 (one in March, the other in May) One I rarely use but it still runs when needed. The other has been running nearly NON-STOP ever since. Like literally I just keep it on 24/7 with very few exceptions. (I live in FL so the handful of days of winter-ish weather (a.k.a. when it gets below 60 degrees Fahrenheit lol) is the only time when I bother to turn it off. Even then I miss the noise (these are industrial and not very quiet but I actually love that). But yeah, these suckers are just STILL kicking. I will say that the plastic doohickey that keeps the control on did break on one of mine but not on the other - that bit is a wee bit fragile it seems, but to me, since it doesn't impact the fan's actual ability to do what it needs to do, it wasn't worth deducting a star. This thing blows so much air that I can't really even aim it right at me most of the time - I actually aim this up at the ceiling and the cycling air movement cools me off w/o practically blowing me away LOL. These are magnificent air-movers. I also do use it in conjunction with a window a/c that doesn't have good air reach because the window is in the far corner of the room, and this keeps my room nice and icy everywhere instead of only where the a/c unit can blow. Definitely a worthy investment!

Reliable and great quality.
Great item. Well worth the money. Smooth and quiet for a fan of this size. It pushed a lot of air for it's size.

Again. And again. Don't care what else comes out
I had bought one of these...3 years ago. More than even, and it lasted at full speed 24/7. It finally gave up a couple days ago, tried cleaning it, tried taking it apart, but I couldn't bring her back to life. But holy smokes (for lack of better terms), this thing is a beast. Definitely first choice especially in Arizona. Yeah it's kinda loud but that white noise to sleep too, it pushes air like crazy, it'll bring a room down 10 degrees

Its an improvement over cheap box fan, mostly cause its made of metal and more stable
Ok, got my new fan today. Good news, its mostly metal (I sincerely hate plastic) and lot more stable and adjustable than box fan it replaced. Face it box fans are really designed to be in a window. Also not sure what others were expecting, its about same noise level as one of the cheap box fans. Reading other reviews, would have thought it was up there with a jet engine putting out tornadic velocity winds. Bad news it really doesnt move anymore air than one of the cheap box fans in good condition. Best I can tell, just slightly bigger motor than the cheap box fan. This is nowhere near as powerful as the all metal box fans back in the 1960s and 1970s. They had much bigger motor and blades angled to move more air. But on other hand if its motor ever quits, instead of spending another sixty bucks, I'll just adapt motor and plastic fan blade from a new cheap box fan to it. Like say its lot more adjustable and stable than box fan and wire grill lot easier to clean than plastic egg crate grill. Nothing really to do with this fan, but while I was waiting on shipment and delivery of this fan, I got to looking at my old box fan that seemed destined to twirl no more. What was strange was that it was completely dead, motor didnt hum, nothing, like a fuse was burned out.... Well little googling and found fans for last decade all fans have had thermal fuses put in windings of the motor so if motor slightly overheats, fuse pops and everything stops. I guess this was answer to some class action law suit. These fuses are not meant to be replaced, you are supposed to just replace the fan. Good for Lasko, not so good for consumer. Anyway, this is interesting so I took whole motor apart. There she blows matey. Fuse looks like a funny white colored resistor and housed in little fabric like tube thing, tied down to the windings with two plastic strap. I will also mention this is an extremely delicate and fiddly thing to mess with. It wasnt meant to be replaced. I cut the straps and removed the fuse, and tried replacing fuse with bit of wire soldered into place. For life of me couldnt get it strapped down again so it didnt interfere with other stuff. Grrr... But lucky me had another one of these cheap box fans that had quit and somehow hadnt gotten put out with trash. This time I had a clue. I left the burned out fuse strapped in place, looked for the wire in the harness going into the motor to the fuse and the wire going from the fuse to a terminal on the starting capacitor. I spliced a jumper wire from fuse input wire to the capacitor external to the motor housing. Lot simpler and nowhere near as fiddly. Anyway I first tested motor out of fan, worked fine. Gave fan a good cleaning and put everything back together. Wow is all I can say, acted and moved air like a new one. Good cleaning helped a lot. Sure its not quite as safe as it would be with new fuse, but people had fans for lot years without a thermal fuse and I suspect darn few of them burned their house down. One of these motors ever shorts out, should trip circuit breaker for outlet its plugged into. I did look and you can get like 100 of the thermal fuses on ebay for $4 on slow boat from china if you feel need for the extra safety. I still would leave existing fuse strapped in place and just find new place to mount new fuse on windings. Its a thermal fuse so has to be where the heat is, inside the motor housing.

WOW, WOW, and WOW!
UPDATE!!! Its been 3 years and this thing is still going strong. Quality fan that delivers. UPDATE AGAIN: After 3 1/2 yrs of use I thought the motor was giving out as the blades were slowly turning, squeking noise, and sometimes would not turn at all. Guess what? The fan is still working great I just had to do a little cleaning maintenance, behind the blades where the motor housing is, in between the motor housing and the blades I found string and hair wrapped around the bolt. I removed all of that stuff with a tweezer but still found myself with the blades turning slowly. Finally I add some rust resistance spray in between the motor housing and the blade, the fan is working as good as new. WOW, WOW, and WOW! I read previous reviews that made me decide to get this one; oh man this fan is unbelievable. I accidentally flipped it to speed 3 when I went to turn it on for the first time my cat jumped half across the room and my papers started flying everywhere like I was in a windstorm; this fan literally sounds like a jet engine on speed 3 probably the reason why my cat jumped half across the room besides the powerful wind release. Yes its loud but it doesn't bother me as I can always wear my wireless headphones if I need to watch my movies plus the sound would probably put me right to sleep. I have had numerous fans before (over 10) but I have never come across a fan as powerful as this one. Even on the lowest speed it blows out more wind then any of my previous fans. Unlike the plastic models that break this design is metal and it is built to withstand the powerful wind in which it does not shake. Once again I cant believe a fan like this can put out so much wind. If you are looking for a fan that can disperse incredible wind and noise is not an issue for you then this fan is for you. Thanks to all the ones who reviewed this product before me as it really helped me decide to purchase this one. UPDATE: I purchased this in March it is now almost December, still blowing strong. Some days I wish it had 1 more lower level selection because it does give out a lot of wind even on the lowest selection . UPDATE: 2 YEAR AND 5 MONTHS of use and still going strong. Most days this fan has been on for an average of 16 hours. TIP: Make sure to clean this every once and a while. Make sure to unplug it, remove the cover and clean the fan blades, the back of the fan grill and front. Dust collects on this and by cleaning it, it will make a world of difference on the wind output.

Category 3 hurricane wind speeds
I got this for my fiancรฉ who canโt sleep without a heavy duty fan We had bought a $50 one from Walmart same brand plastic fan And he DESPISED it I heard about it every night before bed how that was the worst purchase of his life lol! I got this one and oh my goodness I canโt step out of the bathroom without feeling like Iโm stepping into a category 3 maybe even higher hurricane ๐ he is a human heater so he LOVES it but Iโm a cold blooded human and itโs getting cold out so Iโm freezing No complaints tho heโs happy so Iโm happy Iโm glad to have made this purchase 10 out of 10! Itโs barely more noises than the other fan but a million times more powerful it give a nice peaceful almost relaxing sound Heavy duty very durable ! Decent size but not too huge ! Not very heavy either but sturdy!!! :) Obviously airflow is amazing ๐คฉ And functions better than I couldโve ever dreamed ๐

Powerful and Reliable
This fan has been a workhorse for three years and still performs like new. Pros: - Extremely powerful, providing excellent airflow. - Durable and built to last, even with regular use. Cons: - A bit noisy, but manageable given its performance. If you need a reliable and strong fan, this oneโs a great choice.
