Malco Portable Mini Brake, 48 In, 22 Ga Capacity

Great tool for bending metal and fabricating flashing and other things. Built tough, not for the weak. It's heavy but it's stable and it works as intended. I registered my unit for the warranty period and received a very nice catalog and welcome pack to the Malco family. After having to fight with other manufacturers over trivial items this was a pleasant surprise. Great company and great tools. Glad I finally bought this.

Let me tell yall what!!! Career roofer, metal fabricator here! I got this for a historic project, fabbing lots fancy metals on an old house. 24 GAUGE STEEL! Thick boy stuff! Bends it like no other! And this sucker can make a bend as small as a freaking 1/8”!! No other portable break can bends smaller than 3/4”!! Or 24 gauge! I tried the cheaper brakes on here, but they have to screw down instead of the lever clamps like a real brick, they can’t bend more than 90 and or smaller than 1”. Nothing compares to this plus it’s so portable, I mean it’s probably 40 lbs but it doesn’t take up a bunch of space 100/100 all the crews are getting one now

Great for small projects, You just need to start with scrap to get tension settings correct before bending your project so that bends are true and sharpe

Works well after years of use

I'm very surprised at the 5 star reviews. I must be missing something. I've worked with 24 and 26 gauge sheet metal for 30 years and have never seen such poor results. The bend is far from crisp. I get better results just using a handheld drive bender. Very poor design.

this is an awesome brake and is very handy because it's so small. It's a little on the heavy side but at least it's durable.
