Very Nice!
First, my technical analysis: it works and it is SO DARN CUTE! When my 25 year old behemoth microwave gave up the ghost recently, I seached Amazon for a replacement and once I saw this one (in red!) I couldn't find anything else I liked as much. Reading the mixed reviews, I was a little hesitant, but decided to go for it. It arrived 3 days early, packaged perfectly and I was able to carry it into the kitchen myself (unlike the old one, which I could barely lift off the counter and had to "walk" out side because it was too heavy to carry). Set up was very easy. There will be a steep learing curve for me...I was so used to increasing the cooking time by at least half with the old one...but the manual is very clear and explains the settings clearly (I will, however, have to keep it handy for awhile if I venture beyondsimply reheating coffee/leftovers or preparing frozen chicken sandwiches; you can set it for multiple functions). AND the seller sent an e-mail with their email and phone number to call with any questions...how often does that happen? One of the reviews mentioned it lacked power...well my first test use was to reheat my coffee: I set it for the usual 2:22 minutes...removed the cup from the microwave, put in a spoonful of sugar and whoosh! it foamed up and overflowed...those molecules were thoroughly agitated! There's my learning curve again...45 seconds does the job perfectly! The size is perfect for my needs, it's easy to use, it's quiet, I like using the dial to set the time rather than punching numbers , so far it works very well and it looks great...I love the "retro" look...and did I mention it's RED?!I'm very happy.

A small microwave that eagerly fulfills its niche as a leftover warmer. Perfect for us! Also: Fallout 4 themed!
I took a huge gamble on this device. The reviews are so mixed that even after a few weeks of owning it, I am still a bit nervous about its longevity.Don't think I am saying I expect it to fail, as most of the people who had their fail, it was either DOA or very close to it. This microwave is ideal for a bachelor or a young couple, just starting out together. It is compact, very easy to use, and has enough settings that you can find a few (3-4) that will get used regularly. Like most microwaves, it has more features than anyone will ever use (really, a setting just to heat up a slice of pizza? Just push the large knob at the bottom once and it cooks on high for one minute. You can turn the knob to add or subtract twenty seconds per "click", making most "programmed" features only useful for their custom power profile. This unit is only 700 watts, keep that in mind. Most directions on food use a 1000 or 1100 watt as a baseline, so you will always be adding time. It is also worth noting that you will NOT be cooking in this micro. It fits one dinner plate and the cover (to keep it from splattering or to keep moisture in the food) at a time. Many people tend to "live out of their microwaves" by cooking everything in it, this is not one of those units. In keeping with the theme of the 50's, this microwave will only be used for warming food or individual servings of leftovers (I believe that is why they were designed anyway), not to replace the stove/oven.While this review sounds a bit negative, I want to point out that we purchased this microwave for two reasons. First, we knew we only needed a microwave to warm food/drinks on occasion. Waiting an extra twenty seconds or so, for my plate of leftovers, is totally worth the second reason we purchased this microwave: It goes with the Fallout 4 theme (My wife and I are both PC gamers).

Great second Micro, or where space is at a premium.
Fabulous little microwave! I stumbled onto an Amazon price of $64 with Prime free shipping. Wow! The micro, while rather small, can still fit my largest (11") dinner plate, with a cook cover, STACKED with a second plate and cover. Quieter than a full sized micro. 700 watts is a bit slower, however fine for reheating, and often you don't want full power anyway.I feel bad for those purchasers who must have received a lemon. That happens. I decided to purchase from Amazon because 1) by and large, microwaves are reliable, 2) $20 less than on sale locally, 3) saves the bother of going to the store and standing in lines, 4) if I did have to return to the store, more standing in line, 5) returns via UPS are easier, 6) Amazon is easier to deal with returns than most stores, 7) even if I didn't get free shipping return for a defective unit, cost would be less than the $20 above. To operate: Press the large knob; 1 minute begins. Then turn the dial up/down to add/subtract seconds. Quick and simple! This is a better system than my full sized micro.Pros: Easy to use dial. 3 beeps at the end, and then the machine is silent. Candy apple metallic red is well done. Far fewer beeps to have to endure as you set the timer. Best of all, you can add/subtract time with the dial as food is cooking, in 10 second increments. A smart design!Neutral: 12 preset modes, with +/- adjust-ability for weight of the food. I don't cook this way; you may love it.Negatives: None.

Beautiful and completely functional.
The unit is clearly stylish-- beautiful, actually; ultra cool.I have not used this to do any serious cooking; I have not attempted to roast a chicken in it, for example, and I have only had it for a month or so, using it maybe 3 times a week. The microwave has been used to heat up left-overs and cups of coffee or to cook winter squash and potatoes. Based on this usage, I find this microwave to be unbelievably powerful. I have never been able to heat anything for more than 2 minutes without the plate coming out blistering hot and the food boiling over! Two minutes! Three minutes for a full bowl of soup. Raw potatoes and winter squash take 4-6 minutes to cook, depending on size. Typically, 1:20 is enough time to heat most anything I want.I don't know what other people's expectations are for a microwave, but as a supplemental piece alongside my cooktop and oven, I can't imagine what more power I would need!Did I mention, how beautifully cool this Objet d'art is?
