Hawaii Li Hing Mui Plum Powder (Bag, 4 ounces)

If you've never tried Li Hing power on fresh fruit, you're missing out on something special! We first came across it at the Dole Plantation on Oahu and now we use it every week with all types of fresh fruit. One warning: A little is delicious but too much is horrible! It's best to experiment with the amount that's right for you. Hum, I think I'll go have some fresh pineapple right now with a little Li Hing raspberry extract on it!

Yuck! I bought three bags of this a few months ago and it was fantastic. I ordered three more and this batch is terrible! It is bright red and tastes too salty and like chemicals. The lighter one one the left is the old stuff, the bright one on the right is the new gross one. So disappointed!

You need an acquired taste for this. I was looking for an ume flavored powder. As in umeboshi, the Japanese pickled plum. I never knew this li Hing mui even existed but I saw people describe it as ume so I thought I might try it. It’s not. It has a slight ume flavor, but not like the sour pickled plum flavor that I wanted. I’m still trying to figure out what to do with it.

I think this is the best li hing muipowder. I tried another brand and it was "gritty" this one is not. It is so smooth. And the flavor is great! I will order again. The only problem is that Amazon notes that this is 6 oz and it is only 4 oz.

The Powder has great flavor. Brings an extra layer of flavor that will wake your tastebuds up. If you know you know. This brand is my go to.

A bit disappointed as this batch seems much sweeter than the other orders we have received. I miss the "salty-sweet" flavor. This is too sweet.

I’m from Oahu, we ate sweet li hing mui growing up. This li hing powder is the best! I put it on craisins and shake it up. It’s almost as good as the li hung mui I loved as a child. I love this stuff!
