Great low cost device, well designed and easy to use
Very reasonable price. I bought this to have a monitor for outside temp from inside after wife accidentally broke the thermometer hanger on the porch. I was impressed enough with the performance of the first unit, I bought two more of the sensor units. The display alternates the 'Out' reading on the top of the display between three possible units. If you just have one, it stays on that reading, but if you have two, the display will cycle between all three, leaving the third sensor (if not there) reading blank lines. I found it annoying enough to buy a third one to fill that spot in the display cycle with a separate garage reading. These devices are each about a degree apart in the same location and the humidity reading as much as 4% different in same location, but they are close enough for my use purposes. The display is very easy to read from several feet away with bad eyes, the screen has a light button at the bottom that is very useful at night, and I am over a week on the first charge of the outdoor sensor.

Great Product
Overall, I'm very pleased with this hygrometer-thermometer. It's easy to set up and use. I bought it one year ago from Amazon, and my wife and I love the convenience of being able to check outdoor and indoor weather conditions at various times during the day and evening. I attached the outdoor sensor to the vertical frame of the front door, and we keep the indoor sensor on the kitchen counter. The low-voltage battery indicators for the separate sensors and the arrows indicating long-term trends in temperature and humidity (both outdoor and indoor) are particularly welcomed features. I've had to recharge the outdoor sensor battery and replace the indoor sensor batteries only once in the year since owning the product. As some other reviewers have indicated, a shortcoming seems to be a bit of inaccuracy in the temperature readings, especially the outdoor readings. Some of the "inaccuracy" in our case may be due to the influence of the wooden door frame to which the outdoor sensor is attached, as the temperature of the wood is likely to change slower than that of the outside air. Basically, this product has not been a disappointment, as we use it mainly as an indicator of what and how much clothing to wear when going outdoors on a given day, a decision that isn’t affected by a few degrees difference in temperature. I highly recommend it to anyone who can tolerate a couple of degrees of inaccuracy.

Easy to read & compact!
Hi. Just got it and I am charging the sensor. Sensor and unit are in the same space as you can see. At first there was a wide variance in the data, as some reviews have commented on. But in leaving them alone for over an hour the data between devices stabilized and is very close, as you can see. Plenty good enough for my needs. Size is relatively compact, but text is large, both a plus for me. I own a similar different brand without a backlight, which is the main reason I purchased this. But this is much easier to read, even without the backlight, than my other brand. So far I'm happy. My only concern is the rechargeable sensor, honestly I would prefer batteries. But who knows it may hold a charge a long time. I will try to modify this post if something bothers me in the reasonable future. Otherwise all is good.

When shipping UPS, the return process can be difficult!
I purchased the device to use with my RV. So I received the item UPS. Opened it the next day and reviewed the instructions, very simple to figure out. After installing the batteries in both components the receiver, was obviously not functioning correctly . It has one read out, 36. The front screen has a black area at the center bottom an area center top that appears to be a scratch under the outer protective glass. I replaced the included batteries with verified new ones, no change. Left it on for and hour no change. Pulled the batteries out and reinstalled, no change. Here's the bigger rub. It has to returned VIA UPS!! Have to print the label, round trip to UPS is probably 45 minutes and 2 gallons of gas. The price of the device is like 22$. Returning it is a waste of time to drive all the way to UPS. I use AMAZON because shipping it to my door. I filled out the return but will not be driving to UPS for the 12 bucks that I would receive from AMAZON! Probably will look for another supplier for my RV.

I'd like to give it 4 stars, but......
I just can't...it needs one too many improvements. Accuracy: I'd say for the price it is 4 stars. I've found the outdoor temperature readings to be usually within 3-4 degrees of official readings (although not always). The humidity is usually within 10% (IF the sensor is kept dry), which is good enough for me to get a general idea of the conditions outside (which is what I use it for). As for indoors, I think the temperature is more accurate and probably the humidity too, but I don't have anything to compare it to so I can't be sure... Ease of use: You can't actually place the sensor anywhere it will get rained on, even if you position it the way that is recommended. You can, but the humidity will read about 20% higher than it actually is for a few days after the rain. Battery: Not so great...2 AAA batteries on the receivers will technically last about 1 year, BUT...after 6 months, the screen starts getting very dim, so practically speaking you have to replace them every 6 months. The sensor needs to be recharged once per year, which is fine. Although now that I think about it, I wonder if the readings get less accurate towards the end of a charge 🤔 Range: I first bought the slightly less expensive version of this product which claimed to have a 200 ft range. Well, I can tell you that it was 30 feet at most until the receiver started missing signals. For this one, I have everything within 50 feet or so and it always picks up the signal. But judging by the other product, the range on this one probably isn't more than 100 feet (check other reviews for that). 2 stars for range. That being said, if all the receivers are closer than that to the sensor, it doesn't really matter, does it? So all in all, I'd still probably call it a "good" product that is adequate for many people. But there are some issues that could be resolved, especially the range issue. I have remote controlled outlets that claim 100 foot range and live up to it for the same price as this product, so I doubt it's that difficult to achieve on the frequency it uses - it should go straight through walls and be able to handle some interference. So it depends how you are going to use it and what you need it for. Only comparable product I could find is LaCrosse and it doesn't seem like the accuracy on that is any better, but maybe the range is. I just don't know. Good luck! -Mark

Humidity levels inside and out
I purchased this as a replacement to looking at my phone on the weather app and i'm a very pleased. At a glance i know whether it's hot and humid or dry or cold. I'm most impressed by the reliability. I've owned cheap wireless thermometers in the past and i did not like the experience. So far so good with this unit. Outside emitter is rechargeable, which seems odd at first but i'll have to see how reliable that is in the future. It's only mounted using a screw or nail head. I used weather resistant 3M double sided tape to stick it outside a window because i live at the 4th floor. Make sure to keep the USB cable in a safe place because it is not universal. The display feature a large magnet and a screw hook for easy placement and it uses alkaline batteries. The rear button let you see 24h min/max as well as all-time min/max. There is a reset button for that also.

Good Accuracy and Both Read the Same.
I am using these temperature units on my RV. The remote is mounted externally away from rain and wind when driving. It tells me the most important aspects, temperature and humidity, that I feel is required. I can mow determine if I need to put the AC on ir just open windows and vents, based on the differences between inside and outside air. I ran these two units side by side in our home's kitchen for a few weeks. The two units were mostly identical or only 1/10 different. To try this test you need to have them right next to each other. Even 6 inches apart there is a slight difference in air movement in the kitchen. I put good quality alkaline leak proof batteries in each unit. Hopefully I get a year or so use out of them. I love the large display with the two readings. In normal room lighting the display is easily read. The touch sensor at the bottom is good and sensitive. Only a light touch and the back light comes on. I am super happy with this product. 6 months later: It looks like the outside unit now has the batteries flat. The battery symbol was showing on the display for both in and outside units. Today I noticed there is no data from the outside unit. That is six months with very good quality alkaline batteries. I am a bit dissapointed about only six months out of the batteries. The outside unit it cable tied under the van at the back of the electric step. Oh well, lay on my back and shimmy under the van to get at the unit...........maybe I will reconsider where I put it, seeing it looks like every six months the batteries need to be changed. I will still give 5 stars. They are very good units.

Buen producto
Buen producto. El display es grande y el backlight es naranja, cosa que me gustó mucho. Los dos sensores son muy sensibles y con solo tocarlos tienen variación de temperatura, el sensor remoto está a 30 metros con algunos muros intermedios y llega bien la señal.
