Was ok not enough to see a difference.

I like this lotion, and I plan to use it until it is gone, but I wouldn’t personally buy it again. The formula is good, being lightweight yet moisturizing, but the fragrance is a major turn off for me.The texture of this lotion is smooth and easy to glide onto the skin. I wouldn’t call this thick lotion, but it isn’t watery either. Once on the skin, it stays in place relatively well even after becoming damp. It takes quite a bit of time to dry down to the point of not being tacky, but once dry, this lotion is fabulous at helping my skin retain moisture even during the winter when my heat is on 24/7. The feel of the lotion on my skin after it dries is almost satiny.The instructions state to use this lotion after showering or bathing. I would recommend this as well. I have used this both after showering and simply during the day when my skin was feeling dry and you can really feel the benefits more after being damp. This lotion holds in moisture that would otherwise be evaporated during the drying process.My only real complaint about this product is about the scent. One of the main ingredients in this lotion is lavender so I was expecting the scent to remind me of lavender but I found that all I can smell is cinnamon. The scent isn’t horrible and overbearing, but it is certainly noticeable. If you have scent sensitivity this might not be the best choice.Overall, I would recommend this lotion to anyone looking for a lotion that helps retain moisture and leaves skin feeling smooth. I would not recommend this to those who dislike strong smells.

I must be the only one who doesn't like this lotion. First I received a pump bottle that doesn't work. Can't pump any lotion out, I have to unscrew the top and fish some out with my fingers, I know, wah, but for a $50 bottle, the pump should work. Second, as someone else stated, it really does smell like cinnamon, it's so weird. Then once it sits for a minute it's like cinnamon baby powder. Again, not a scent that's worth $50. I've tried it right after a shower and just regular and it takes forever for it to absorb and even after it "absorbs" I still feel greasy. Like, can't open a jar greasy, for a really long time. It's just not great for me, I have psoriasis and really dry skin and it just didn't do anything for me.

I'm sorry, but I would never pay $49.00 for a bottle of lotion (The price as of this review). I don't care how good it is. After I coat myself in it for a couple of weeks it's gone and I'm back to the cheaper stuff. That said, it is very hydrating and feels great on my 61 year old skin. It has a bit of a scent that I could do without but it's not very strong.

This Body lotion is very moisturizing. It is a rich thick light emollient and so soothing.It does add moisture and does not leave a greasy or oily feel to my skin.I want to talk about fragrance. It is a nice pleasant light clean smell that calms me. It is not a fragrance that someone around you would smell. Only you will.I am a baby boomer and my skin is very dry. As I get older the cell turnover is very slow. My skin needs all the moisturizer that it can get. My skin is very sensitive. It has thinned out a lot as I got older.Alchimie did not irritate my skin at all. No rash and no breakout.I apply the lotion all over my body after my shower. After the lotion has been on my body for awhile it does improve the tone and the texture of my skin.This is a great emollient. It is more than a lotion. The antioxidants from green tea and rosemary help to improve tone and texture.Great body lotion that soothes the skin.

I am not able to get the lotion out through the pump. I think either the product is too thick, or I received this with a defective pump. While I am not impressed with this product’s packaging, I do think this is a great body lotion. This has a thick consistency that completely coats my skin. I use this after showering to moisturize and hydrate my dry skin. This absorbs well, and it leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth. It has a light lavender scent that smells slightly sweet. This is great to use after shaving my legs, to prevent dryness and irritation. While the retail price for this is high, this really does moisturize better than many less expensive body lotions.

This Alchimie Forever Soothing Body Lotion is too heavy for my oily skin and I don't care for the scent, which smells more chemical to me than anything.This is a white, creamy, lotion that is fairly thick. I used it on my legs and my forearms and the backs of my hands, since those areas tend to be the driest parts of my body. I noticed that it remained tacky feeling for quite a while and even after it dried and fully absorbed, it still has a waxy feel. I will admit that it made my skin look well hydrated and younger in appearance.The scent is just off putting to me. It contains lavender, which I adore, but it definitely doesn't smell like lavender to me. It smells like a chemical to me. Rather akin to a depilatory cream. I just didn't care for it and since it left my skin feeling kind of oily, I probably wouldn't buy it again. However, for women with very dry skin, this probably works great.

Nothing special. Works fine and does its job but nothing noteworthy.
