Great kit for a great dash cam
After doing some reviews on this hard wire kit I was hesitant to purchase this; however, after doing some research I could not find another kit for my Ddpai mini 3 so I pulled the trigger on this kit. At first I had the same problem everyone else had with it not going into parking mode when I turned my vehicle off. After playing around with the Ddpai app on my phone I found that there was a firmware update for my mini 3 under the "Me/ About" section. After updating the firmware to my mini 3, everything began working as it is suppose to. Now after I shut down my vehicle, it goes into and stays in parking mode until my vehicle starts. I am a very happy camper now and I highly recommend this kit for its quality and ease of installation.

Works fine
Works fine for 24hr mode. Hardest part was finding the constant 12v and ignition 12v. For the price works

The instructions may be wrong. (Agreed!!) Updated Review
Same as what Mike said in another review. Parking mode doesn’t work if you follow the instructions however if you wire both to a VCC then all is well. I wired mine per the instructions and it worked normally but wouldn’t enter into the parking mode. I then wired both to a constant power and everything worked as described without issue. Overall , I’m very happy with the camera and it’s quality for the price.Updated 6/10/19- I emailed DDPAI directly over this issue and they emailed my a software update for my mini3. After installing the update, I re-wired it per the instructions and everything works great now. I changed my rating to a 5 star and ordered another camera for my wife's Lexus.

No Parking Mode!
Went through two separate hardwire kits and two separate dash cams (first dash cam had no audio), neither one worked in parking mode! It's a KNOWN issue with this brand! Do your research and see for yourself.Red ACC wire to a switched 12V power source, yellow VCC wire to a constant 12V power source, and the black wire to a solid vehicle ground. No brainer install! Both fuse locations (and orientations) verified with a volt meter, and confirmed with the key in the on and off position. I even went as far as locking the car and waiting upwards and over 30 minutes to confirm power or the lack off. I also tried plugging the unit directly to a 5V usb power pack (with the dash cams included cable), to replicate a "forced parking mode" but after waiting again in excess of 30+ minutes, the unit still never went into parking mode. No blue light (to indicate parking mode), and no voltage selection option in the IOS app (supposedly an option that appears when you use the hardwire kit). Some have reported that if you combine the ACC and VCC wires together, that will solve the no parking mode issue, but for me that just kept the unit running as it did normally when you shut the car off. That is NOT a solution, and provided, it may not even offer any overdraw protection for your vehicles battery.Simply put, pass on this if you're looking for any sort of parking mode option. I have since replaced this kit and the associated dash cam with another brand, and it is working perfectly!

I think the instructions are wrong.
Hello all,I am writing this review to help those who are interested in using this hard wire kit with their DDPai mini3 camera. When I wired the kit as per the instructions - i.e. ACC connected to a switched fuse and the VCC connected to the constant power fuse - the camera turns off when the key is taken out of the ignition. As a result, the camera cannot enter parking mode.Instead, I found out that I needed to wire the hard wire kit with both the ACC and VCC wires connected to a constant power fuse. By doing this, the camera always runs and can enter into parking mode. When I exit my car and it sits for 15 minutes, the camera automatically goes into parking mode. You can set the amount of time that the camera records in parking mode via the app - either 15 mins, 1 hour, 6 hours, 24 hours, or always. Also, the camera seems to "wake up" when I get into the car and it starts to move.I also wanted to mention that I've had very good experiences with DDPai customer support and especially "Shirly". She was very responsive to my questions although I think she's located in China and most of her replies were sent while I was sleeping.Overall, I'm pleased with my DDPai mini3 and this hard wire kit. Thanks!

Idiots
People need to stop giving this bad reviews because they cant work it out. Yes it is simple plug and play but you just need to test which fuse to put it in for it to constantly regard. With regards to the battery drain that is selected within the app itself, I think it says 15 minutes 6 hours, 24 hours or constantly. Therefore it will shut off after the selected time. I nearly didn't buy this for my mini 3 pro because of the reviews. Glad I didn't listen to them

Easy install, good quality
Easy install. Took about 15 minutes with going back in the garage for a multimeter and then again for a socket set for a ground bolt. I like that it came with fuse holder for three different fuse styles.

Confused with VCC
So I hard wired my dash cam and grounded the wire. ACC is in ACC 7.5 fuse in car. Parking mode would not activate unless I found a constant fuse for VCC which was my seat warmers with a 15 fuse. Parking mode works and now my dash cam gets extremely hot. Not sure if the wire is defective or what.
