Gold Cube Trommel with Adjustable Pitch and Low Energy 12V Gear Motor

Awesome unit saves sooo much time..... quality built to last , the manufacture has 1 yr warranty on electric motor ,free replacement from 1 yr of date of purchase! Others complain of no bearings on barrel rollers when in fact the roller design has proven itself over 10 yrs with thousands of units in the field. The nylon roller wears very good and is durable, stainless steel roller bolts.....if the rollers had bearings in the water and dirt environment they would not last long. A++

This thing is such a time saver, you don’t have to waste so much extra time classifying to 1/8th for the cube to handle, I’d give it 5 stars if the motor didn’t fail on me after 3rd use/ less than 6 hours. The replacement motors are 75 dollars which isn’t awful but after investing a decent amount into the Trommel it’s annoying (says they’re good for 1,000 hours. Crossing my fingers)

Fair warning, I am a professional gold miner and wanted to see if this trommel could actually perform. Had a 20yd pay pile, put about 2-3yds through it and the motor that spins the trommel crapped out.(a window regulator motor out of a Chevy) None of the rollers have any sort of bearings. All just plastic rollers on bolts.(not even greased) Had to build a guard over the drive motor. It should have come with one. If this thing cost about $400 it would justify what it is. Riveted together alum. I’d bet it cost the manufacturer about $200 to produce. In all fairness, once you buy an additional valve and get you water flow corrected, it cleans your material pretty good. Pulled 5.25ozt out of my pay before it sh@t the bed. Build your own. P.S. The Gold Cube works great, I am only referencing the trommel attachment.

This is a very well thought out product because it means you can forgo the classifier step, since this filters your load sediment into a number 8 filter size perfect for the gold cube. However, in the field it takes a lot of juice to run the 2000 gallon per hour pump for the extra water needed to wash the hopper and the sieve and feed the gold cube, plus rotate the screen. Make sure you have a big enough battery. The machine is very well built, and weight saving aluminum sheet is used extensively. A nice piece of gear to own and use.

I love this thing. My gold recovery ihas gone way up. Highly recommend 👌
