University Physics for the Physical and Life Sciences, Volume 2: Volume II

it got the job done for my entry level physics course, but make sure your school library (or a friend) has a copy of the real version on reserve if you're going to buy this preliminary version for personal use. It DOES NOT contain all the practice problems your professor may assign. It does have all the content though and it much cheaper than other buying options. I would still recommend despite having the truncated problem sets.

I ordered this book for the last two quarters of physics, but the description neglected to mention that it was preliminary version (as if the book had not been published yet). There were large portions of the questions missing for each chapter and no answers to the odd problems.The chapter content was all there, but the mis-numbering/missing questions made it unusable for homework

The only difference from the regular textbook is that a few practice problems are missing from each chapter. There are more than enough left, so unless you expect your professor to be assigning specific ones for a grade, I would definitely recommend getting this version of the textbook to cut down the price.
