ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE SUN JOE SPX3000
I RENT A GAS PRESSURE WASHER EVERY YEAR FOR VARIOUS PROJECTS AROUND THE HOUSE, I HAVE USED GAS PRESSURE WASHERS TO REMOVE CHIPPING PAINT FROM THE CINDER BLOCK FOUNDATION IN PREPARATION TO REPAINT, BUT MOSTLY I USE IT YEARLY TO CLEAN MY CONCRETE WALKWAY, DRIVEWAY AND PATIO. I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN PLEASED WITH THE RESULTS. DUE TO A RECENT INJURY I AM UNABLE TO LIFT HEAVY ITEMS, SO THIS YEAR I DECIDED TO LOOK AT ELECTRIC PRESSURE WASHERS. I DID MY HOMEWORK, I WENT TO HOME DEPOT AND LOWE'S AND I SEARCHED THE INTERNET AND WATCHED YOU TUBE VIDEOS AND READ ALL THE REVIEWS. THE SUN JOE SPX3000 ALWAYS STOOD OUT FROM THE REST IN ALL THE REVIEWS I READ. I ORDERED ONE FROM AMAZON.COM. IT WAS TEMPORARILY OUT OF STOCK, BUT HAD THE BEST PRICE I COULD FIND INCLUDING FREE SHIPPING. ABOUT TWO WEEKS LATER I HAD MY NEW PRESSURE WASHER. IT TOOK ABOUT THIRTY MINUTES TO READ THE INSTRUCTIONS AND INSTALL EIGHT ITEMS: 1. THE HANDLE, (FOUR SCREWS) 2. THE TRIGGER GUN HOLDER, (JUST POPS ON) 3. THE SPRAY WAND PROTECTOR- (ONE SCREW AND A POP IN TAB)-THIS WAS A LITTLE TRICKY, THE TAB DID NOT WANT TO LOCK IN, BUT IT FINALLY DID) 4. THE DETERGENT BOTTLES- (THEY WERE ALREADY IN PLACE BUT NEEDED TO BE "SEATED) 5. THE HOSE HOLDER (SLIDES IN PLACE AND IS HELD ON WITH ONE SCREW) 6. CONNECT ONE END OF THE HIGH PRESSURE HOSE TO TO THE REAR OF THE UNIT AND THE OTHER END TO THE TRIGGER GUN. (ONE END IS MADE FOR THE TRIGGER GUN AND THE OTHER END IS MADE TO CONNECT TO THE UNIT.) 7. ATTACH THE WAND TO THE TRIGGER GUN. 8. ATTACH THE PLASTIC WATER INLET COUPLER TO THE FRONT OF THE UNIT-(THIS IS WHAT MOST PEOPLE COMPLAIN ABOUT WHERE LEAKING OCCURS. MINE LEAKED TOO. I JUST REMOVED IT AND CAREFULLY RE INSTALLED IT MAKING SURE IT WAS NOT CROSS THREADED AND THERE WAS NO MORE LEAKING. IT DID START LEAKING AGAIN AFTER ABOUT AN HOUR OF USAGE. I HAD TO REMOVE THE COUPLER AGAIN, THIS TIME I REMOVED THE SMALL BLACK WASHER OR O-RING AND TURNED IT OVER. I MADE SURE IT WAS SEATED CORRECTLY, THEN RE INSTALLED THE COUPLER. IT HAS NOT LEAKED AGAIN. THE POWER PLUG ON THIS UNIT IS HUGE. IT HAS A BUILT IN GROUND FAULT CIRCUIT INTERRUPTER BUILT IN FOR SAFETY. THE PLUG IS SO LARGE IT WOULD NOT FIT INTO MY OUTDOOR OUTLETS SO I HAD TO USE A SHORT 5 FOOT EXTENSION CORD DESIGNED FOR PORTABLE AIR CONDITIONERS. THIS WORKED FINE. I TESTED THE GROUND FAULT AND IT TOO WORKED FINE. YOU MUST NOT USE A COMMON HOUSE HOLD EXTENSION CORD WITH THIS UNIT. YOU MUST USE THE PROPER GAUGE EXTENSION CORD WITH THIS UNIT IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO BURN UP THE MOTOR. CONSULT THE OWNERS MANUAL FOR THE PROPER EXTENSION CORD. SO NOW I AM READY TO USE MY PRESSURE WASHER: 1. I DOUBLE CHECKED TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING WAS PUT TOGETHER SECURELY 2. I HOOKED UP MY GARDEN HOSE TO THE FRONT OF THE UNIT (MAKE SURE THE HOSE IS NOT KINKED). I TURNED ON THE WATER FAUCET ALL THE WAY. (THAT IS WHEN I SAW THE FIRST WATER LEAK AND HAD TO RE INSTALL THE COUPLER) . 3. I PLUGGED IN THE POWER CORD (USING MY SHORT A/C EXTENSION CORD) AND MADE SURE IT WOULD NOT GET WET BY HANGING IT UP ON A PLANT HOOK ON MY PATIO. 4. I SNAPPED IN ONE OF THE QUICK CONNECT NOZZLES. (I DID NOT KNOW WHICH ONE WOULD WORK BEST FOR MY APPLICATION) 5. I RELEASED THE SAFETY LOCK ON THE TRIGGER. 6.. I SQUEEZED THE TRIGGER WHICH ALLOWS WATER TO FLOW THROUGH THE SYSTEM. 7. I TURNED ON THE MACHINE. IT WORKS!! I PLAYED AROUND WITH THE DIFFERENT NOZZLES. I WANTED TO CLEAN MY CONCRETE WALK WAY. THE GREEN NOZZLE 25 DEGREES WORKED BEST. I WAS AMAZED AT THE POWER OF THIS LITTLE MACHINE. IT CLEANED MY CONCRETE AS GOOD AS A GAS PRESSURE WASHER. I USED THIS FOR ABOUT FIVE HOURS STRAIGHT. I WAS VERY PLEASED. THE UNIT IS QUIET COMPARED TO A GAS UNIT, BUT I STILL WORE EAR PLUGS TO PROTECT MY HEARING. WHEN YOU RELEASE THE TRIGGER, THE MACHINE SIMPLY CUTS OFF AND THERE IS NO NOISE. OCCASIONALLY THE UNIT WOULD PULSE WITH VERY LOW PRESSURE ON RESTARTING, BUT RELEASING THE TRIGGER AND PRESSING IT AGAIN IMMEDIATELY CORRECTED THE PROBLEM. I DID NOT USE THE DETERGENT BOTTLES, SO NO COMMENT. AS FAR AS LONGEVITY, THAT REMAINS TO BE SEEN. I USUALLY USE A PRESSURE WASHER ONCE A YEAR SO I HOPE TO HAVE MINE FOR A QUITE SOME TIME. SUN JOE WARRANTS THE MACHINE FOR TWO YEARS. BOTTOM LINE. THIS IS A VERY POWERFUL ELECTRIC PRESSURE WASHER AND IS ALMOST AS GOOD AS A GAS UNIT. THIS MACHINE CAN CLEAN CONCRETE WITH EXCELLENT RESULTS, YOU CAN CLEAN VINYL SIDING, WOOD DECKS, PATIO FURNITURE, GAS GRILLS AND MORE. AND YES YOU COULD POSSIBLY DAMAGE SOMETHING IF YOU DO NOT USE CAUTION. I AM VERY PLEASED WITH MY SUN JOE SPX3000 AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT FOR THOSE WHO DO NOT WANT TO BE BOTHERED WITH A GAS POWERED PRESSURE MACHINE.

Very good electric pressure washer
Last year, I purchased a Simpson gas pressure washer from Costco and had nothing but trouble with the machine including poor customer service from Simpson. I returned the pressure washer to Costco and started giving some thought to buying an electric washer. Many of the reviews online caution against using an electric washer due to the fact the psi produced from these machines is much less than that produced by gas engine washers. I looked for weeks and finally decided to purchase the Sun Joe SPX3000 for two reasons - good reviews and the highest PSI rating I found online for an electric pressure washer. I used the pressure washer this past two days to clean a large driveway that has not been cleaned in 15 years. I did connect it to a 12 inch EZcleaner surface pressure washer disc designed for electric washers for some of the cleaning. The surface cleaner came from Home Depot. I first wet the surface, then applied and scrubbed the area with outdoor Clorox cleaning solution(diluted), then cleaned the area with the surface cleaner, then followed up using the pressure washer using the 40 degree gray tip. The surface cleaner did ok removing the top film of dirt but using the washer with the 40 degree tip was a must to remove the stubborn dirt. Pros of the Sun Joe SPX3000: 1. Easy to assemble 2. The motor worked flawlessly for the 8 hours of use 3. When you release the trigger, the motor shuts off 4. Quiet engine - did not need hearing protection 5. Pretty good power considering it is an electric washer - it definitely has plenty of power for cleaning your deck and house and will do a good job with your driveway but will take a little more effort compared to a gas washer due to less PSI. Cons: 1. I had some trouble with the water leaking from the hose side and the pump side of the connector. Must make sure these connections are very tight and may require some re-tightening on the occasion. 2. PSI rating - will take longer cleaning a dirty concrete surface compared to the time a gas pressure washer will take you. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase. It may have taken me more time with this machine to clean my driveway compared to a gas washer but the extra time was well worth it not having to fool with the noise and starting efforts of a gas pressure washer. I am looking forward to using it to clean my house and decks. I do recommend this product.

Excellent Pressure Washer with Impressive Cleaning Power
This pressure washer exceeded my expectations in every way. It has plenty of power for an electric unit and handled everything I threw at it, including dirty patios, sidewalks, fences, outdoor furniture, and even washing the car. It removed built-up dirt and grime much faster than I expected. Setup was quick and straightforward, and everything connected easily. The adjustable spray wand makes it simple to switch between different cleaning tasks without needing multiple attachments. The pressure is strong enough for tough jobs while still being easy to control. I also appreciate the Total Stop System, which automatically shuts the motor off when the trigger isn't being used. It helps reduce noise, saves energy, and gives the machine a more premium feel. The GFCI power cord adds another layer of safety, especially when working around water. Despite its cleaning power, the unit is lightweight enough to move around the yard without much effort. The 20-foot hose provides good reach for most jobs, and the overall design is compact enough to store easily when not in use. After using it several times, I'm extremely happy with the performance. It delivers consistent pressure, feels well built, and has made outdoor cleaning much faster and easier than using a regular garden hose. Overall, this is an outstanding pressure washer that offers excellent performance, thoughtful features, and great value. If you're looking for a reliable electric pressure washer for cleaning cars, patios, driveways, fences, or outdoor furniture, I highly recommend this one.

Well built, well thought out.
Well thought out, solid pressure washer. I've had a few now including DeWalt (gas) and my Karcher (electric) that lasted me 15 years. This SUNJOE SPX3000 is a perfect household pressure washer. My 3300 psi Dewalt was overkill with an insanely loud Honda gas engine. Unlike my last electric pressure washer this one has a nice 25 foot heavy duty power cable as well as a 25 foot pressure washer hose. Pretty solid construction, easy to assemble and with an unbeatable price I would highly recommend this to anyone looking. Something to remember about the gas pressure washers is you can't leave them running, you can't let them sit there and run with the motor idling because it causes the pump to overheat. DeWalt instruction manuals tell you not to let it idle without squeezing the handle for more than two minutes at a time. They do have a relief valve for this reason built-in, if the pump gets too hot from idling too long without water flowing through it it will purge itself until it's cool enough. They are more or less meant to run nonstop full power. You just don't have to worry about that stuff with the electric ones. Especially this one with the auto shut off which they call the total stop system. The electric ones you can wash your car and not have to listen to a gas engine sitting there running the entire time and having to shut it off and restart it with the pull cord on top of wearing earplugs to tolerate the engine noise. We'll see how many years I get out of this one. Would highly recommend. Especially with the two-year warranty.

I LOVE THIS MACHINE
I did the usual research, first looking at gas powered vs. electric cord powered vs. electric battery powered. Decided on electric cord powered since the use is for home, not commercial. Based on the thousands of favorable reviews for the SUNJOE, I decided to buy the SPX3000 model for $200. Very reasonable. It arrived in two days! Outstanding packaging: double boxed (a strong box within a strong box). All the parts protected and carefully packed. FIRST IMPRESSION: (I was a professor of mechanical engineering for 30 years, so I know quality when I see it.) MACHINE CONCEPT: Excellent DESIGN: Excellent ENGINEERING: Excellent MANUFACTURE: Excellent SHIPPING: Can't be any better INSTRUCTIONS: Sixteen pages in English ASSEMBLY: Having decided this was a great buy, I poured myself a Gentleman Jack and proceeded to assemble this machine. Instructions begin on page 6 after all the obligatory legal DON'TS, like "keep all bystanders at least 49 feet away when operating." (What about me?) Assembly pages 6-9, 19 clearly drawn figures. CAUTION: Do not use a powered screw driver! All you need is a #2 Phillips hand-held screw driver for only 6 screws. Do not over tighten. If necessary, you can always go back to firm up the fasteners if something seems too loose. ASSEMBLY CONTINUED: Attaching the spray wand protector (Step #7, Figures 8 and 9). Be sure to properly engage the tab into the slot. I didn't and had to back out the screw to correctly insert the tab. USING THE NOZZLE (Fig. 23): Be sure to firmly snap the nozzle into the wand. You must hear and see the release mechanism "click" back into its forward position, otherwise the nozzle will fly off the wand and may get lost. PREPARING FOR OPERATION: This washer has a very reasonable weight for its power and for moving up and down stairs. The power plug has a small built-in protrusion that allows it to be plugged directly into a shielded outdoor power supply. The copper contacts reach nicely into the slots in spite of the framed plastic hood that protects the outdoor receptacle. Unlike my previous power washer, the hose connection does not leak. Nice. OPERATION: Select and insert nozzle. Connect water. Connect power. Power on. Power wash. Excellent pressure and water flow! For home use, this is all you need before stepping up to the gas-powered models. CONCLUSION: Impressive machine. Surprisingly quiet compared to my last machine. Well built. Design and engineering costs were clearly directed towards important elements: motor, sturdy body, powerful motor, hose, power cord and plug, and water gun. TODAY'S USE: Just finished washing my Trex deck that was neglected for many seasons. Used the soap dispenser at full open. The complete job took about two and one-half hours. It looks like new. PROS: See above. CONS: Water-wand hose length could be 5 feet or so longer. But that might contribute toward diminishing the outlet pressure. Its weight is light enough that you don't mind moving it as required.

6 Years Later & Still Going Strong – A Life-Saver for Mom!
I bought this for my mother for Christmas six years ago to help her with her outdoor chores, and it’s still working perfectly today. She was spending hours scrubbing her birdbath by hand with old toothbrushes, and as a doting daughter, I found that unacceptable! Performance & Power: Instead of hours of back-breaking scrubbing, she can now blast off grime and algae with ease. It features a powerful 14.5-amp/1800-watt motor that generates up to 2030 PSI, which is more than enough for around the house. Honestly, she says it’s actually kind of fun to use! Storage & Capacity: One of the best features for her is the Dual Detergent Tank System. It carries two 0.9-liter onboard tanks, so she can store different types of detergent simultaneously and switch between them using the detergent selection dial. Even with that capacity, it stays pretty lightweight and portable. Design: It comes with five Quick-Connect spray nozzles (0°, 15°, 25°, 40°, and soap) for different purposes, so she can swap them out depending on how much "blast" she needs for a specific area. Verdict: If you want something reliable, lightweight, and capable of saving you hours of manual labor, I highly recommend this. It’s been a staple for us for over half a decade now.

Get the Garden Hose Quick Connect & Just Order a New Extension Chord to make SURE its 14 gauge and 25' or less.
For those of you wondering if with the new metal garden hose adapter you should buy anything else, I highly recommend you get a quick-connect kit. I also recommend you are absolutely SURE your extension chord is 14 gauge and not longer than 25'. I would order one with exactly these specs to know for sure, because its kind of hard to tell in looking at your extension chord. You'll notice that several people had units die within a few days when they used the wrong extension chord. I'm pretty sure I used the right extension chord (My extension chord is wider than the Sun Joe chord), but mine died after about 12 hrs of use. I'm assuming it was just a lemon, but I am also buying a new 14 gauge extension chord for the new unit I'm getting just to be sure. Since both Sun Joe and Amazon made it easy to return, I only knocked off one star for this. I returned with Amazon since they would give me 2 day shipping, while Sun Joe was expecting 3-4 days. I had never used a pressure washer before, so this was all new to me; but it is now one of my favorite tools. I was pressure washing everything. My favorite end is the "Yellow". This is the best end for driveways and side-walks, and also works very well on most wood surfaces if you don't put it too close to the wood. Just realize if you put it too close, it will occasionally chip up wood and it will strip some paint in either case. I still preferred utilizing the yellow end and keeping it farther out rather than swapping back and forth over and over again. There were two things I found frustrating that would have changed my purchase slightly: 1) The garden hose connector, while now mostly metal, is still a pain to get a garden hose attached to. Its almost like the threading on the adapter is a little off on the standard garden hose. As a result, each time I set it up, I had to run in circles turning the water off, attaching the adapter, turning the water on... watching the adapter fly off after tapping it... rinse and repeat until it worked. After going through this for 2 days, I ordered a universal quick-connect adapter for the garden hose. I haven't received this yet, but I expect it to solve this problem, and for $10 there is no question in my mind its worth the reduced hassle. NOTE: For those of you who want to stick with the standard adapter, I did eventually find I had much more reliable results if I detached the garden hose adapter from the Sun Joe, attached it to the garden hose securely, and then attached the adapter back to the Sun Joe. While it looks like the adapter is designed to be able to be left on the Sun Joe while you attach the hose, it is much more difficult to get the hose attached correctly this way. 2) At the beginning of the day it is a pain to get the wand pressure washer hose "unwound" so you can use the full distance. If you spend a few minutes spinning the wand to straighten it all out, its usually good for the day... but it is a little annoying. At the end-of-the-day you have the reverse problem. Its a pain to get the chord all looped nicely on the front of the unit. Its very doable, but I found that especially at the end-of-the-day, the last thing I wanted to do was fight with a hose. As a result when I ordered my replacement unit, I went ahead and got the slightly more expensive unit that has the reel for this extension cable. I expect this will also solve this problem, but I'm still wondering if its worth the extra $40. I went back and forth on whether to get it, but ultimately I'm hoping to have this unit for awhile and I expect it to be worth the $40 in the long run. The verdict is still out on this one. If I remember, I'll try to update this later with more results of my testing. So fare I've found that pressure washers are amazingly good at removing any type of mildew, or dirt without any solvent. They're okay at other plant life, or spider webs, but it often requires a direct shot. On my driveway I have found that they reduce stains, but do not remove them. I'm hoping to test later with solvent and see if that is a place where having a soap of some type helps.

Good high pressure washer
I bought this in the summer of 2024 and have used it a few times since. I think I have a well-built entry-level/mid-range pressure washer. Yes, it's all plastic, but it's solid, well-assembled, and nothing has any play. The power is perfect for home use, and most importantly, the hose and cord length are good. My only complaint is that it doesn't come with a rotating nozzle; I bought one separately for $15. Not a big deal. Very happy for the price, I recommend it.

So far so good
Its been good so far. I've used the product about 3 times and nothing has gone wrong. The plastic does feel a bit cheap, but understandable at the price point. Washes cars and washes floors well. Wished the additional attachments were cheaper
