Minimalist & modern
We ended up choosing this crib for our baby even though it was a bit pricier than we had planned. The main reason was that it’s a convertible crib, and everything you need comes included. Most other cribs sell the conversion kit separately, which adds up. We got the natural wood finish, which looks great and feels like good quality. The wood can scratch or dent a little, but it’s not very noticeable. Assembly was pretty straightforward, especially since we're used to IKEA-style instructions. We took our time reading them carefully. There was no odor when opening the packaging. We also picked up the Babyletto mattress, and it fits perfectly. We didn’t get a crib skirt, but that’s just personal preference. Moving the crib is easy, especially since we have carpeting. Overall, we’re really happy with it. The design is solid, looks great, very sleek, minimalist and modern, and will grow with our child thanks to the conversion options. It's worth considering if you’re okay with spending a bit more upfront for the long-term use.

As good as an Oeuf at half the price
I love the Oeuf Sparrow crib yet couldn't bring myself to spend $800+ on a baby bed. I searched everywhere for a grey crib with a modern ascetic. I finally came across this Hudson crib and knew it was the one. My son's name happens to be Hudson making it that much more fitting. The wood is sturdy and of very good quality. The grey color is beautiful, although a little lighter than the Oeuf. The open slats on all four sides make it airy and comfortable for baby. It took us about an hour to put together and we had no problems. There are 4 different mattress height options. The crib sits low to the ground which makes it easier to get baby in and out without breaking your back. It comes with the toddler rail which is an added bonus. You have to buy it extra with the Oeuf at $200+. I am so happy that I found this crib. I would recommend it to any family. UPDATE: At 18 months my son figured out how to crawl out of the crib. I was so glad we already had the toddler rail as we had to do a quick change late one night to prevent my little guy from breaking his neck. It was beyond easy to unscrew the front panel of the crib and attach the toddler rail. It took us all of 10 minutes. It's a huge transition from the crib to toddler bed (for both baby and parents) but it was made so much easier because we could continue to use the crib he'd been sleeping in from the beginning. I am still so glad that I chose the Hudson crib over the Oeuf. It has held up very well and is in great condition after almost two years. I expect that we will continue to use it for at least another year or so.

Looks great, easy to assemble
Beautiful and light colored. We bought the natural wood finish and it's exactly what we wanted. Easy to assemble in about 1 hour by myself while husband was at work and kids were napping. Not heavy. Downside is yh3 wood doesn't seem to be a super high quality and as you can see in the pictures, there are areas where the wood isn't sanded perfectly. Also, thr bolts are visible inside and not covered, and the mattress support spring is also visible. The spring mattress could be hidden with a crib skirt if desired, if it's your style. Overall, I'm happy with the way it looks and works so far, and I'm glad my item wasn't broken upon delivery. Put together, it seems solid. It also included the toddler rail for when you convert it into a toddler bed.

Great finished product, but some quality control issues
My wife and I ordered this crib to be used for our first child. Previous customer feedback seemed excellent, and we both absolutely loved the modern look of the crib based on the pictures. We both really liked the look of the Oeuf Sparrow Crib, White , but neither of us wanted to spend $700+, and this crib looks very similar in design. Another major concern of ours was that our nursery isn't very large (roughly 10'x9'), and we wanted the crib to be on the smaller side to keep from looking out of place in the room. All cribs accept the same size mattress, and are roughly the same size, but this one doesn't have an imposing "headboard" like most do, nor does it have any curvatures that would make it take up any unnecessary space. We received the crib from Amazon very quickly, unboxed it, and found the set up to be fairly straight forward. Some previous reviewers have complained that they found the instructions confusing, but unless this is your first time ever assembling flat-pack furniture, you won't have much trouble at all. However, we had a likely uncommon problem. After assembling 95% of the crib, I got to the last step of screwing the front side of the crib on, when I realized that the very last piece was drilled incorrectly from the factory. The three mounting holes on one side were drilled opposite of the three mounting holes on the other side, so it was impossible to install. Normally in these situations, I'd just bust out my drill, create a hole in the correct spot, and screw it together; but these holes had metal "receivers" embedded in the wood for each bolt, and because it might be a safety issue, I wouldn't have been comfortable drilling my own hole for the bolt knowing it might not be as sturdy as necessary. So I had to call Amazon, and have them ship us a replacement crib to our house. We pulled out the part we needed, completed the installation, and have UPS return the defective crib parts back to Amazon. It was a hassle, but as per usual Amazon customer service is amazingly fast and accommodating, and they made it as painless as possible. The end result is a beautiful, modern looking crib that is simply adorable and perfect for our modern nursery. I feel like the build quality is fantastic. The crib is very sturdy, the finish feels thick and has no imperfections whatsoever, and the wood didn't seem to be soft or easily dented. I also feel like when the time comes, it will not be difficult to adjust the height of the mattress. The crib comes with the toddler rail, which also will be very easy to install when the time comes, and will help make this a useful piece of furniture for may years. In case this helps any potential future parents to be, we purchased the Moonlight Slumber Little Dreamer Dual Firmness All Foam Crib Mattress , and it fits perfectly in this crib. Snug as can be lengthwise, and maybe .5" total gap on the sides, well within the safe range. Overall, we are very pleased. I wish I could give it 4.5 stars. If not for the issue with the incorrectly drilled piece, this would easily be a five star product.

beautiful crib, looks more expensive than it was!
My husband and I are expecting our first baby in the spring and in preparation we bought this crib. came in great condition brand new (i had my fears of damage during transportation but no issues whatsoever). Super easy to build, took my husband all of 45 minutes from start to finish, and he even complimented Babyletto for having such easy directions to follow. FINALLY a company that provides EASY directions!!! All put together, it looks beautiful and looks much more expensive than it was. We loved the style and look of the Oeuf Sparrow crib, but when we thought about it, the price of this Hudson crib (which also came with the toddler rail) and a very good 2 in 1 Colgate mattress was still less expensive than just the Oeuf crib. It's very sturdy, but easy enough to move if we need to. I love the fact that it came with the toddler rail; most cribs don't include that, and you end up spending the $100-200 later. This way we have the option for one day if we need the rail or if we have another baby we can just leave it as a crib. All in all, very satisfied with the quality and craftsmanship of this crib. I would recommend it to any new mom or dad!

Really like this crib
I wanted a modern crib and this one was perfect. Its easy to assemble, it took my husband and I about an hour to put it all together. Its very light, you can move it easily with a crib mattress in it, but sturdy. It did not feel rickety at all. It is very short, Im 5'7" and the top rail is below my waist, so even at its tallest mattress setting ill have to bend a ways to lay our son in it. He's not due for 5 more weeks so dont know yet if it will be an issue. But I dont think its enough I would have chosen a different crib. Since its NZ pine I was a little worried about it being scuffed or scratched during shipping, but the packing was amazing and it arrived undamaged. I cant wait to use it, and so far everyone whose seen it loves the two tone white/expresso finish. Fyi, we bought the sealy everedge foam core mattress to go with it and it fits very snug, I would reccomend it to go with this crib.
